"Clean, spacious room, but rather dull part of town"
They gave the 3 of us (w/ spouse & daughter) a 'suite' which just meant a nice large room & lg bathroom with double shower head (nice!). Clean & comfortable We were there only about 18 hrs, it was fine. Decor not to my sate- too many grays & cold colors. Perhaps meant to suite the taste of conservative DC visitors/ politicians? Bars & restaurants quite […] empty. Close to Union Station which is good - but this area of DC devoid of much activity or urban interest. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice room and view, but rude staffs"
I had to wait for check-in more than an hour. Staffs were very rude. The room was nice though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent hotel! I've used it before on trips to the U.S. Supreme Court. Very close to Amtrak and to the court.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was nice and clean as well as the hotel, but we were unable to adjust the air. It was very hot in our room the entire time. We contacted the hotel and they told us that there was nothing they could do since it was winter, but to open the window.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"First time to DC will not be our last!!"
My husband and I went to DC for the first time and the hotel was literally 1 block from Union Station. We had a delay of 4.5 hours and the hotel accommodated our reservation so that we did not get penalized for the train delay. Staff at the hotel was very nice and helpful in directing us to where we needed to go. The hotel was no more than 2 miles, […] one way, to the many attractions of the monuments. When we first arrived at the hotel. The toilet was running continuously. I placed a call to the maintenance staff and it seemed like it took them forever to come to the room. The room prices was reasonable for the area. But it seems like everything else had to be purchased, i.e. the internet, parking, use of the business center.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A nice stay"
I had stayed at the Washington Court before and I had loved the convenience and the comfort. So, when the hotel popped up as a relatively inexpensive option (given its prime location) I simply went for it. The Washington Court lived up to the expectations once again. Large comfortable room, regular and meticulous housekeeping, courteous staff, and the […] fantastic location and proximity to DC's premiere visitor interests ensured that my second and my wife's first visit to the Nation's capital was fun, relaxing, and comfortable. Since reviews are (supposedly) never complete unless you point out one drawback - here's mine. The world has moved on beyond the iPhone 4/4S and embraced the thunderbolt. The Court needs to take heed of that and update its iHome alarm/dock systems to accommodate the next generation of Apple phones. But then, there's the TV with several entertainment options and you don't really need the luxury of plugging in your phone by your bedside except that it would be really nice to have it nonetheless. "Worth every penny"
I stayed here for one night with a couple of my friends to bring in the new year, The staff was great and the rooms were spacious. The location was great as well and there is a Walmart 3blocks from the hotel in case you forgot anything or need foodGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cowboys vs Redskins"
We wanted to see the sights of DC as well as catch the game at FedEx field! This is a great hotel to do both... Close to Union Station- take the subway anywhere including fedex field and the mall, and this is where a lot of the bus tours originate. The hotel room and staff are all great!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Lovely, conveniently located hotel"
The Washington Court is a lovely hotel very conveniently located walking distance from Union Station. My room was comfortable and quiet. I had two room service breakfasts and both were delivered promptly. The first order was missing a key ingredient and the server went back to the dining room and brought it to my room almost immediately. The only problem […] I encountered was that the coffee maker didn't work. I believe the problem lay with the electric power (the light next to the machine flickered). I reported the problem to the server. I would definitely stay at the Washington Court in the future (I stayed there once before a few years ago and had a positive experience then, too). "A good option near the Capitol"
I have stayed here before, I like the location near the Capitol and a short walk to the Metro at Union Station. The rooms are nice and clean, not super extravagant but good enough for me as I prefer simple accommodations. The area is not as busy as other areas in DC and there are less dining options, but that was offset by the tavern across the street […] which offers decent food at a very low price for anywhere let alone DC. "All good but missed one important service..."
This was an exceptionally good hotel for the price. The rooms are spacious, clean and functional. The lobby is ridiculously huge in human scale, a bit overwhelming and silly, but it's nice to not have to hunt for a place to sit. The only downside to the experience is the petty internet service, charging you $10 for 24 hours but if you hover in the lobby, […] you can get it for free. Rather belitting. "Would stay here again for sure."
Everything was great from check in to check out. All of the staff was courteous and professional. We checked into a deluxe room with 2 double beds. The sheets and pillows were extremely comfortable and I got a good night's rest. Ebraheem (I hope I spelled that correctly!) was one of the front desk representatives who went above and beyond to make our […] stay special when he found out it we were there to celebrate my college graduation. The entire stay was great. Only thing I would suggest for improvement was that the phone in our room had a fairly strong echo to it so when we called the front desk it was a bit hard to understand what was being said. I only stayed one night at this hotel and i am glad i didn't stay any longer. Location of this hotel is ok, it all depends where and what you do. Staff of this hotel is not friendly at all. "Nice hotel walking distance to Capitol."
We loved the clean room and lobby. The room and bathroom were clean with updated fixtures and decor. the front desk was friendly and helped us check in early. We stored our suitcases with the bell hops while waiting for check-in and the last day after we checked out but hadn't left for the airport yet. So convenient. The hotel is within walking distance […] of the Capitol and Union Station. There's a Srarbucks across the street and a Corner Bakery up the block near Union Station where we ate breakfast each morning. It's a 20 minute cab ride from Reagan airport. We'll be back. "Good Hotel, Bad Service"
Condition and Comfort were good. 3 complaints #1)woman at front desk (name withheld, starts with a V) was rude. Specifically, she was obviously irritated I arrived so quickly after making reservation. I said "I just made the reservation so it may not..." without letting me finish she interrupted and said "Yup, you're going to have to wait then." I followed […] with "Ok, here is my reservation number..."to which she interrupted again: "I don't need it, you'll just have to wait."Extremely rude. #2)At 9:30am housekeeping knocked wanting to clean. I yelled "we're still here” and she actually yelled back "Ok what time are you leaving?" I understand wanting to clean unoccupied rooms but asking what time I’m leaving is not ok. #3)Sat morning we went to hotel restaurant for breakfast, a line was forming for tables at the host stand. Host was getting coffee made for some patrons, which was taking a lot of time, but understandable. Shockingly, when he finished getting coffee, he decided to restock cups. They were not empty, he just took the opportunity to refill. At this point a 3rd family was waiting to be seated and approx 11 minutes wait. When he made it to stand he greeted us but was interrupted by a phone call. Shockingly again, he decided to take that instead of seat anyone. It was a r.s. order, and after 3 mins on the phone we tried to interrupt and ask if we could seat ourselves at one of many open tables. He kindly put a finger up and gestured to us to hold on. We all walked out. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"first time in DC and excellent"
This hotel was an awesome stay for my first time in DC (my partner has been there many times before) But the location was just fine; it was a bit of a walk to the "mall" and all the Smithsonian museums (and we LOVE to walk). But it was an easy run for me to the mall and there was a bike rental right at the Central station as well as sev blocks away […] for us to grab and ride everywhere...and there were also some fab restaurants really close to our hotel Staff was top notch, rooms were lovely, lounge was fun, I would go back there for my next visit to DC Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent hotel, no customer service!"
Honestly, one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I have travel all over the world and this is the first time that I have actually taken the time to write a review...it was that bad. The staff was rude and seemed to have absolutely no idea what was going on. We arrived at the hotel at 2 p.m. after traveling all day and were denied a room. […] We were told the would call when a room was available . They never did. We walked around DV for an hour and a half and then returned exhausted at around 3:45. The rude lady behind the desk said "Did I call you yet?" in a nasty tone. I told her no and then politely asked when check-in was. She said at 4 p.m. We laid on the couches in the lobby for 15 minutes and then tried again. This time we were provided with keys, but when we got to our room we discovered they didn't work. I had to go all the way downstairs to tell her and still was not provided with a new room. Instead, she sent me back upstairs with security where I waited for about 30 minutes for them to reprogram the dead battery on the entry door lock. Later that evening my boyfriend and I went out for drinks. When we returned we asked if the hotel bar was open and they said it was. We walked inside and found out it was closed. We ended up walking around the corner for drinks. When we returned late night, tipsy and hungry, we asked at the front desk for food. They provided menu for closed restaurant twice. Staff seemed absolutely clueless. Never again Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
It was adequate, rooms were ok, not bad. Wierd wall knocking going on all the time, toilet issues, not the cleanest place ever. It wasn't bad. Good enough amount of space. "Capital city sight seeing."
The hotel is close to an underground station (5 mins walk for the frugal), else there's a cab rank on the hotel street (cabs summoned to the hotel entrance). The capital Mall (a grassed common) has the major tourist attractions, easy 2 to 3 mile walk to the furthest attraction (Lincoln Memorial). If the hotel meal pricing seems steep, there's a breakfast/lunch […] cafe opposite at less than half the price you winced at (cafe was well run although the decor was minimal). The hotel itself was quiet, room climate control is fully adjustable and no window box AC units. All the plumbing worked well, all gaps sealed in the bathroom, kudos to the handyman. The hotel staff, door, front desk, restaurant and bar were polite and friendly. We enjoyed our stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Trip to see the sights with my son"
It was a great trip and I have stayed at this hotel before. It was fine, but I was a little disappointed by the lack of cleanliness in the room (taco chips on floor by the bed, maid left bottle of cleaning solution in room, the desk was sticky where something was obviously spilled on ti, the tub had mildew. I don't remember that being an issue when […] I stayed last year.
