The hotel was fine. The room was comfortable and spacious. The pleasant surprise was the restaurant. Although a bit pricey $67 for a late lunch for 2. It was quite tasty and the service was good. Great location and walkable neighborhood. Metro and taxis available. Interior of room - outdated but works. Windows drafty- not good in the winter, so curtains had to be closed. Overall the stay was a pleasant surprise. Room was quite comfortable. The restaurant was excellent for my selection and far beyond expectations. Things here are a bit pricy, but pretty much the norm for DC. A light dinner for one and glass of wine run about $65 with tip so it is not cheap, but it is good.

Before I arrived at the hotel I never was advised that the parking lot costs $46/day. The food was overpriced in the restaurant. Actually it was not enough for a baby. The room service was always excellent!!!

Excellent hotel and got it on a great rate. Rooms were nice and clean. Love the fact that the elevators are away from the rooms. Very quiet and peaceful. My only complaint was the parking. $43 for in/out privileges is quite expensive. There is street parking but READ the signs, because they are extremely anxious to hand out tickets. Lol. The hotel had the fans so dirty my wife had allergies. The concierge had someone at our rom to clean it. Actually a superficial vacuum cleaning of the fans. The filters / grills were so dirty like they have not been cleaned in months, not days, not weeks. The concierge said the manager and the engineer would talk to us. Nobody did. Nobody ever showed […] up. I don't know who or what entity takes care of hotels in terms of assuring at least cleanness, but certainly if any, they did a very poor job. I expected Washington DC, a city where many people from all over the world travels everyday could have better standards. Washington Court Hotel is no longer in my list if I return to Washington. And I suggest Expedia to have someone looking at fans at hotels, I doubt it my room was the only room like that. And remember, poor quality air caused by dirty in the fans is a serious thing for healthy. Due to weather conditions windows are not opened for months, so it is essential that the air circulating is not bringing all the germs to people. Another thing. The bathroom was cold. On the third day, the shower had no hot water. We called the front desk and after over two hours and five calls we hadn't had a solution or heard from the staff. We had to leave without showering and the person in the front desk did not seem to care. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, almost wish I had more time to enjoy the room. I got a king size bed with a view of the capitol...I had reserved a double but they gave me the king for the view and even offered a roll away bed for no charge, didn't end up needing it. The hotel is perfectly located about a 5min walk from union station which was perfect since I took amtrak and even better to access the city subway! The hotel was walking distance from the Chinatown and the Capitol and the smithsonian museum. We were mainly there to handle some business but we did get to do some sightseeing and the doormen were really helpful with directions and recommendations. The concierge weren't so much. Very bad services at the restaurant. It was Thanksgiving and my family was just willing to receive a better courtesy and more warm service. It was totally on the contrary.
