Super 8 Shreveport - Shreveport

On 3 different occassions I could not locate the desk manager, the beds were very hard and the pillows had outlived their usefulness. The bedspread looked as if someone had blown their nose on the underside of it. I will not return to this hotel.

TThe room was ok, but the bathroom walls were dirty. Something a little soap and water would clean. Our biggest complaint is what happened around 11:00 in the parking lot right outside our door. A very large group had gathered, drinking, cussing, breaking of glass bottles. Very scary for my 13 year old and 5 year old. We packed up very quickly and went […] to check out. There were so many checking out, I placed my keys on the desk and said....room 135 is vacant! Left to find another room. We spent an hour looking, at 12:30 we were in another hotel. Had to pay for another room. We were there for a baseball tournament for my 13 y/o. We will not be staying at another Super 8. The Super 8 was a great hotel for us. I went with several friends to watch the Independence Bowl. It is a great location, only 2 miles from the Fairgrounds, and was very convenient. If you want luxury and glamour, this hotel is not for you, but if you just want a simple, standard hotel, this is the place for you. Very good for the cost!

While the hotel room was clean and very accomodating, there was a stale odor in the room and I had to spray some Fabreeze to get the odor out. I recommend the hotel invest in a fragrance dispencer and also in some larger pillows that may be more comfortable.

my stay was May 26, 2012 - May 28, 2012 horrible!!!! The bath towels were filthy!!! I called the front desk to get clean towels and the front desk clerk stated that she did not have access to the room where the towels were stored and the person and manager who had access will not be back at the hotel until 11pm because they were at a party. I made this […] call about the towels at 8:30pm.... so, I had to leave the hotel and go to walmart to purchase clean towels which was a huge inconvience. When I got back to the hotel, I had to clean the bathroom, the tub and toliet was filthy!! They had two roaches i had to kill in the room. We will never stay at another super 8 again the staff was not at all friendly and the service was bad. The coffee pot in our room didn't work we waited 5 hours for a new one never came we had to go to the office and was told they didn't have another one. My only complaint was my room was an adjoining room and I could here the neighbors television throughout the night. When I called the office to complain, she called me back and informed me she couldn't get them to answer the phone. She then proceeded to ask me to knock on the door and ask them to turn down the tv.

We were very suprised at the quarlity for the price. It was very clean and comfortable. The facility appreared to have been refurbished recently and the room apperance was very good. The included breakfast did not look good at all. We choose to leave and eat breakfast else where.

After traveling down the highway in a storm check-in was very quick and clerk was pleasant. I went up stairs to my room and there was still a smoking cigarette in the room and beds had not been made. The price was right, however I will probably not return. Safety is a big concern of mine and I found the area a little scary. The hotel right next door had a lot of unsavory characters hanging out until all hours of the night. The door to my room looked like someone had tried to break in before. One of the locks to the door was laying in the window […] (we reattached it ourself). We moved furniture in front of the door for extra protection. The room appeared to be clean until we tried to walk barefoot on the carpet. The carpet needs to be cleaned and so does the coffee pot. I'll start with the pros... it's only a 2 minute drive to Shreveport Regional Airport. Oh, and they give you a free continental breakfast of waffles, cereal, fruit, coffee and juice. Now the cons... it's defintiely not worth the price that you'll end up paying for it. Our first NS room REEKED of cigarette smoke, so we asked to be moved. The second room […] had an A/C in the wall that looked older than me (and didn't work), so we asked to be moved again. By then, the front desk girl was getting a slight attitude. Hey, if you want to rent a room out in 105 degree weather, you'd better at least make sure that the A/C works right? The third room was just right. It had a newer unit in the wall, and the room appeared to be clean. Only other thing I noticed was the amount of inkpen on the sheets. I will not recommend this hotel to nobody. First, this hotel advertise that had RV parking and they didn't. The staff was not friendly and the neighborhood was not good at all. We were afraid that they will steal something from us. Overall a very bad hotel.

Not worth what we had to pay. Wasn't real comfortable, but there wasn't anything really bad about the place, either. They were able to put us in a non-smoking room after we had to reserve a smoking room (as that is all that was available on line), and we appreciated that.

The hotel wasn't bad but there was only one resturant in walking distance and when you went to the end of the street away from I-20 the neighborhood went downhill fast. It would be a nice place to stay if you don't intend to leave the area of I-20 and the room was very clean and comfortable.

The check-in service was horrible. They do not care about any problems you may have with the reservation. The room is prepaid; they have their money and nothing else matters. The WiFi was so bad I had to use the 3G hotspot on my cell phone to use my laptop. I'm not happy and I would recommend this place to anyone.

Tiny, tiny room. Could barely turn around. VERY hard bed...woke up in pain. Flat pillows...almost like there weren't any. Pretty underwhelming. But for one night, it was ok. Would not return though...it was pretty bare bones.
