Train tracks right outsid ethe hotel with the whistle blowing about every half hour. Heavy traffic on the road right outside made it noisy as well. Manager had to come unlock the door to let me in which tells me he doesn't feel safe in the neighborhood. Saty at your own risk!

This is an economy hotel with clean rooms, decent beds and wonderful front desk people and an owner who are friendly and professional. I keep going back because of the great rate and because I like the people who run and work at the hotel. You are truly treated like a "guest". The only negative is there is a train across the street. It wasn't the worst hotel I've ever stayed at but I would not stay here again. The bed was very uncomfortable, the sheets were threadbare, it was not convenient to the highway, and to top it all off there was a roach in the room. I don't recommend this hotel, sorry Econo Lodge.

The location is right on a main road and across the street from a VERY active railroad. Even with that, I don't remember hearing vehicles, but I do remember hearing the train horns. In the Charleston area you're within 5mi of anything so location was pretty good. Staff was very friendly and talkative. Staff is very helpful and want to make sure you're stay is enjoyable. Rooms are clean, have microwave, fridge, and are comfortable for however long you plan to stay. Location is near dining and stores within the Goose Creek area. Would recommend this facility to others visiting the area.

My stay at Econo Lodge in Goose Creek was a good one thanks to the very personable staff and management at the hotel who made it a very comfortable stay. They were very attentive to me as a customer and wanted to make sure everything I needed for my two night stay was taken care of. The room was clean and comfortable with a fridge and microwave. The […] tv offers all the local cable stations so I couldn't have asked for more. I have bad allergies so I always need a clean bed and pillows with a relatively new mattress. This room had all of that and was very clean. The location is close to many restaurants and businesses off of Goose Greek Blvd, but there is a noise factor as a result. Replacing all carpet and upgrading rooms. Front desk helped nicely with several requests I had. 10/2011. Train track across the street that was used often during the day and night. Not obnoxiously loud, but you could tell a train was coming through.

Econolodge had all the conveniences I was looking for - coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, comfortable bed, toiletry items, iron and ironing board upon request, internet, and TV with lots of channels.

This motel was easy to find and the staff was friendly, but the room smelled musty, the sheets were dirty, I had to ask for an iron and it was noisy! If the train wasn't blowing it's horn; an 18-wheeler was using its jake brake. I asked for new sheets because the ones were stained. They brought them up and changed the bed, but not the pillow cases. […] They also brought the iron and ironing board to my room, which I thought was nice. The remote control didn't change channels so I was stuck watching the same channel which happened to be one that ran the same movie over and over again, like a marathon. Breakfast was adequate and the wireless internet was invalueable, but I have learned better to pay more to get cleanliness and a good night's sleep than to save $30. Read more

Stayed just one night, so there's not much to say: the bed is too soft (for me), ok for my husband. We didn't go to the pool. The a/c works VERY well (this was a worry of us, northerners, during the Memorial day weekend.) The breakfast is very simple and far from great -- the water for my tea was heated in the microwave, at which point I went with OJ. It […] was perfect for us -- staying near friends who live in Goose Creek without hassles. The service desk people are wonderful -- looked up weather for the day when we mentioned we might go to the beach, etc: little things that went a long way. The price was right and overall the hotel was fine. The only problem was that the hotel was close to a railroad track and every few hours a train went by blaring it's horn. Steady sleep was difficult as a result.

It was ok for the price. The location was good from where my son was moving. If the bed was a queen size it seemed rather small. The tile was coming from the shower wall, seemed a little tacky. When I visit Goose Creek I don't think I would stay here.
