Crowne Plaza Kansas City Downtown - Kansas City

Clean room, friendly staff. Pool outside so useless this time of year. No breakfast and had to pay $15 a night for parking! Although nice, will probably stay someplace that actually gives you basic ammenities for your money next time.

This was a 24 hour stay to see if Kansas City would be a good fit for next year's reunion of a WWII veteran's group. The Crowne Plaza staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. First room had a very wet floor by fridge. Moved to handicap accessible room that didn't fit our needs but didn't want to complain again. Shower very dark and dirty. Elevators not working for all floors.

The one of rwo elevators for the garage was down. It did take awhile to get into the hotel. There is a $15 to park. I feel that if you are spending the amount on your hotel you should not have to pay for parking. Its hard to carry your luggage when its quicker to go the stairs then wait for the elevator.

Great Hotel - great location. Minutes from Power & Light District, Country Club Plaza and steps away from the convention center. There was an event at the hotel and no parking available in the garage. I was refunded the parking fee on the spot. Excellent service all around.

Beds were hard. Arrived late and no free parking available. Ended up paying 12 dollars for valet parking. Noisy area of downtown. A/C partially worked. Not worth the price or hassle to access this hotel. Next stay will be outside of downtown.

had to drop overall rating considerably due to the fact that it appeared to be party central this weekend. almost all saturday night we heard laughter, yelling, swearing, footsteps and constant ice machine noise from what appeared to be numerous college age type parties ongoing on our floor and throughout the rest of the hotel as well. one guest was […] even challenged to a fight when he asked the rowdy partiers to hold the noise level down. security was trying to quiet some of the noise makers but to little avail. finally at about 4:30 AM the noise subsided, probably due to the partiers drunkenness. what should have been a most pleasant experience was marred by the noisy youngsters. of course, i remember being young once so i figure it may have been a touch of "payback" that they kept us up most of the night (lol) Read more

I would definitly stay again. Overall a very nice stay. The only problem was i booked a room with one bed i get to check in and they say all they have is double but i can pay the upcharge thats forty buck and have a single bed. Kinda seems like they do that to get you to pay the extra.

Crowne Plazas tend to be outdated--what was once touted as luxury hotels are now hotels behind the times. The lowest available floor was 7, which is terrible when you have vertigo--but at least the front desk clerks were helpful to get me the lowest possible floor. The hotel was very busy at this time and hosted a variety of obnoxious adult groups. […] The room itself was OK--some of the toiletries look like they had already been used and the closet door/mirror looked like it was coming off the frame. There was also no fan/vent to circulate air in the bathroom. They also got our address really wrong on our bill, but it didn't seem to matter. LOVED that there was a Starbucks on premises. Parking garage entry and exit was hard to operate--the valet guys often came out to help us. Not a horrible hotel--the price and location were right! Read more

This hotel was clean, staff was friendly, nice extras like Starbucks in the lobby. Walking distance to many main downtown places. Rooms are a bit small for the price but it really didn't matter on a trip. Cost of parking in hotel garage is extra charge.

I felt the rooms were overpriced for the room. On saturday, the housekeeping was poorly done. Maybe they were busy, but for the price we paid, I thought at least the tops of the cups and things would have been straightened.

I can say nothing bad about this hotel. The staff was very helpful and the restaurant within the hotel had very delicious food. All in all it was a perfect stay! If I make another trip to KC I will definitely consider Crown Plaza again.

The location of this hotel couldn't be much better. The lobby of the hotel is upscale and the staff was very courteous and helpful.
