The only good thing I can say about this stay was the hotel was easy to find and had a good pillow on the bed. The TV didn't work. No one answered the phone at the front desk. There were no directions on how to use the remote so I could not trouble shoot myself. The curtains did not close tightly so light came into the room all night from a nearby apartment […] complex. Great stay, we have no complaints. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the check-in process was fast and easy. Location was just what we needed, as it is very close to GSU campus.

We enjoyed the indoor pool, but would have liked the outdoor jacuzzi if it had been open. The beds were really nice and comfortable, so that is the biggest factor for us. The vending machines needed some attention as there was not much variety.

Better than expected for the money and with pets. Where some inexpensive pet friendly places "smell" pet friendly, La Quinta in Statesboro did not. A pleasant surprise. We would consider staying there again when in the area.

Most La Quinta's I have stayed at are much newer than this one. In all fairness I think most of the hotels in Statesboro are renovated older hotels.

I was in Statesboro for the Georgia Southern University SOAR orientation program, and drove in from metro Atlanta.The bed was very comfortable, the room clean and bright and cooled down efficiently for a nice welcome in 93 degree heat. The breakfast was filling and plentiful (if a little carb heavy) and the staff very friendly and eager to please in […] any way they could. I have asthma and have to be very careful about any rooms that have any cigarette smoke residue and they made sure to place me in one of the rooms that has never been a smoking room. The room and beds were nice. The tv is old, but not an issue really. The tv stations are very limited, sadly. We booked this hotel because I scored a nice deal on a website and it had a pool, jacuzzi, and free breakfast. Sadly, when we got there and were taking the elevator up to our room, we read the sign on the room to the pool that it was closed. […] The desk clerk checking us in- had not mentioned this. We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and have stayed here before while traveling through town. We left for church service at 9 am Sunday morning and returned to our room at 6 pm that evening to find our room was not clean. The housekeeper did not leave any towels and one of the beds was not fully made, neither was the garbage taken out. Convenient to Georgia Southern & particularly the football stadium; on the bypass couple of miles from new development; near many of the student apartments. Friendly staff; good breakfast. Our 13 year old son enjoyed the indoor pool in February. He wants to stay again!

This is the worst hotel experience I've had. We requested and paid for a non-smoking room, but the room we were put in was previously a smoking room and smelled disgusting. We requested a different room, but since the hotel was full, they wouldn't move us. There were also stains on the furniture, so we just sat on the bed sheets (they were the only […] thing that looked clean in the whole room). The window wasn't sealed well, so it whistled constantly when the wind blew. We were able to put a towel around the based of the window and it became more of a howl than a whistle. After numerous complaints about the room stinking of stale smoke, the only thing the hotel offered was to 'possibly' offer us a complimentary night for our next stay. The bedspread was thinner than the top sheet. On one of the beds a propolactic piece was under the very thin bedspread....so I slept on the other bed. Breakfast was not as good as front counter made it sound. Ask to check out a little late - going to charge 10.00 per hour....nevertheless I left by 11am. What a dump! My room was dirty, smelly and old. The health department gave them a rating of B , however it should have been an F. There were dogs in the room down the hall ,and they barked all night! Management did nothing. Don't waste your money on this dump!
