"What could be better"
Room too small. American style motel breakfast at an additional 10 pounds is not good enough.Genuine Expedia guest review
The Caesar has several good qualities, location being at the top; Paddington Station, 4 tube stops, 2 restaurant/shopping areas, and Hyde/Kensington parks are all within walking distance. Additionally, the hotel is located in a quiet residential area. Friendly and helpful hotel staff, lifts in working order, and an on-site restaurant serves reasonably […] good food, including 24/7 room service. However, the bed in my room was very uncomfortable, which seems to be a common complaint of this hotel. Also, like many hotels, the Caesar advertises green policies, but in practice they don't exist. "Great staff! Good location."
The staff are incredible! Very nice and very helpful. Our room was a bit smaller then we are used to, but nothing we couldn't deal with. The wonderful staff made all the difference.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not what we thought it was going to be"
Hotel ac didnt work. The outside was all covered in blue tarps because of work so we had no view. It was atleast a 20 minute walk to the nearest tube station. House cleaning came into our room even though we had the Do Not Disturb sign up and they threw away stuff that was on the bed. The room was not what was pictured on their site. Way to expensive […] for what you get. STAY AWAY!!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The location of the hotel was superb. Public areas beautiful. I stayed in a superior room on the 4th floor and found the small windows and low ceiling to be a little claustrophobic.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Caesar Hotel - Worth looking at."
Great location, and Staff that would bend over backwards to help. A wonderful stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not worth it"
The breakfast room staff were completely rude. Asking to pay the bill the minute I arrived and refusing to serve our table because it was 9:50am and breakfast closed at 10am. Employees were just overall strange and acted as if they were doing us a favor by being there. Beds were hard and uncomfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel, easy to get to tube and bus stations."
Staff is extremely accommodating, rooms are TINY. My suitcase prevented the door from opening all the way. The bed is rather firm, but comfortable. I wouldn't and didn't eat breakfast there. There are plenty of small cafes around where you can get full English breakfast for 5.5 pounds. Overall very nice though.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Happy with our Stay"
The stay was great the staff were very helpful and nice to us only issue was the rooms were quite small but we managed and the outside of the hotel was under renovations so we didnt get to see the what the outside looked like .. we enjoyed our stay and hope to go back againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice boutique hotel in great location"
This updated, Euro style, boutique hotel is located in a great location a few blocks from Kensington Gardens and Notting Hill shopping. The hotel is very clean and the staff is excellent. The rooms were quiet - never heard our neighbors. Based on my research, the hotel is an excellent value for the money. From the hotel we were easily able to walk to […] Notting Hill and Kensington Gardens. Public Transportation is only blocks away and gives you access to all the sites in London. The only issue we experienced was a balky A/C unit (the A/C systems are controlled by a central computer and the system had issues). It would be very helpful for travelers to have breakfast included in the price of the room (a al carte breakfast in the hotel restaurant was pricey) as is the case in other European countries . An included breakfast and this hotel would have achieved a 5 rating. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Family Room Deception"
We have booked a three-person family room in order to stay there with our 5-year-old. What was advertised as 'the family room', in reality was nothing more than a double room with a rollaway (which was not even set up until we have requested it after checking-in). The staff was not helpful with settling the issue. Beware! While travelling with a child, […] you will get a much fairer rate by booking any of their double rooms and requesting a rollaway. "Small room with a huge bed!"
We had changed our reservation from a two night stay to a three night so when we arrived and explained that they up graded us to a nicer room so we wouldn't have to change rooms. Our room was fairly small but not unusual for Europe hotels but we had a wonderful king size bed with great pillows. They had left fruit and a bottle of water in our room free […] to enjoy while we rested and got ready for our first evening in London. The staff was helpful with directions and overall had a great stay. They arranged for a taxi to pick us up to take us to the train station on our last day. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"In residential area"
12-15 min. walking to either of 3 tube stations including Paddington. No chair in room, just a hassock. Nice bathroom - walls thin - could hair neighbors. Nice continental breakfast and a bonus - free internet usage.Genuine Expedia guest review
The staff of this hotel is very friendly, and everything in the room is very clean. The only thing I feel not convenient is the hotel is a little far from underground station, about 15 mins. Anyway, it is a good experience for choicing this hotel!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel in Paddington Neighborhood"
I liked the hotel and had no problems. Staff were helpful and nice and hotel was clean. Hallways are a bit long and narrow, but rooms were nice with wood floors and clean. The hotel is between Paddington and Bayswater metro stations, though there was a bit of a walk. Pubs and places to eat not too far from hotel. Elevator in hotel that was a good size. […] Surrounding area was quiet and away from traffic. Overall I thought this was a nice hotel and would stay here again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good bed! Quiet"
Good bed, which can be hard to come by in Europe. Quiet. Good location, excellent staff. Breakfast is expensive. Eat out if you can.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Pretty good place to stay"
The room was small, but comfortable. Everything in the room worked well. I think the hotel was made by combining several old town houses. So the hallway was strange with a couple turns and doors. And there were some slopes in the floor like the hall connected buildings that had not been built as one structure. All in all it was pretty good though.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Boutique Hotel in Bayswater near Paddington."
This hotel is located on a beautiful street and is a 10 minute walk to the tube station. The rooms are small but adequate and well decorated. Boutique . You have the choice of a 10 minute walk to Lancaster Gate for the Tube or Paddington Station for the Tube or Rail service.Genuine Expedia guest review
"accessible to underground station"
I really liked the hotel. It is nicely updated and the room was very clean, but tiny. I was travelling alone and meeting my family in London, therefore I was travelling with very few things. There was a decent amount of storage space, but the room was really small. I had a twin bed...it was comfortable, but not accustomed to twin beds. The TV didn't […] work, so the last night the staff changed me to a room with a more comfortable bed and a functioning TV. The bathroom was surprisingly bigger than I had expected...very nicely updated and clean. The staff was extremely kind and efficient at all times of the day and even the night manager was friendly and helpful with directions upon returning from a late dinner. The hotel is very cute, small and beautiful. It is very well located in between 2 subways stations and on a very pretty street. The staff is friendly and helpful. "Very disappointing experience"
We just returned from a European vacation and were quite disappointed by this hotel. The bed was very hard, the soundproofing was terrible (and we couldn't sleep!), the superior room that Expedia promised was tiny, and we were put on the bottom floor of the hotel in a back hallway corner with absolutely no view. The only thing that we liked about the […] hotel was the location (even though it was hard to initially find). It's located near Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park, which is good for runners/walkers. "Good home base if you will be out and about"
I have stayed at the Ceasar several times when on business and pleasure trips. It is a good choice if you are looking for a decent hotel without the extra comforts of higher priced hotels. The rooms are not spacious, but they are also not cramped. They are very clean. Bathrooms are small but updated, with tub and shower. Beds are comfortable but not […] luxurious. Staff is friendly. The location is safe and within a couple blocks of restaurants, stores and several tube stations. The Internet service worked well. Drawbacks are that there was no furniture in my room for sitting, and noisy neighbors could be a problem - though the walls are not as thin as in some hotels. I have never eaten the Caesar's breakfast, as there are numerous less expensive options within easy walking distance. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Hotel in a safe area, staff was friendly and helpful. I felt the king size bed was too big for the size of the room, but we didn't spend much time in the room so it wasn't a problem. Posh area, quiet at night. About a 5-10 minute walk to nearest underground stations. (Bayswater or Lancaster Gate). Friendly hotel staff. "OK hotel if travelling light"
Location is convenient, about 15 minute walking form Paddington station. if you are travelling light, it's an OK hotel compare with the rates being charged by other hotels in nearby location. "free & reliable wifi"
The location was a little tricky (I have a bad sense of direction) but I was very pleased when I eventually found it. The staff was very eager to assist me at every stage of my visit. I arrived 2 hours ahead of scheduled check-in time, and was allowed access to my room:-). The superior double room, with king bed, was small by American standards, but […] a great value at the price offered. The bathroom was really tiny, but had a tub (which I did enjoy). My room (531) was small & love able. The tiny flat screen TV had limited channels & the remote battery was dying :-( I could hear the morning deliveries from outside my window on the ground floor & was startled awake each of my 6 mornings there:-( The breakfast in the hotel restaurant was way too expensive (£17.50 for a cheese omelette and access to the cold breakfast items). At those prices, I only had one breakfast visit and never to dinner. I would stay again just for the free and reliable wifi. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great stay with a friend"
I stayed here with a friend recently and we had a wonderful time. We searched a long time for hotel rooms and we were really happy with our choice. The room was pretty spacious for a European hotel room (we had a twin room) and the decor was modern. The entire hotel is really nicely and tastefully decorated and it's situated on a quiet, pretty, residential […] street. The walk to the underground stop (Bayswater) was not bad at all and there are other tube stops nearby as well. "Small but great quality"
I think there is a big difference between Pleasing & superb, so it doesn't give a true reflection of what I would rate the Hotel, however, the hotel was very good. Our room was booked through Expedia, so I don't know if that made a difference, but our room was so tiny, we had to move our cases to get around the room. "Good and good value"
Nice, serviceable hotel in a good location -- near Hyde Park and 1 - 2 blocks from two tube stops. Located in a quiet neighborhood with a few other small hotels, a pub, a good Greek restaurant (Halepi), cafe, grocery all nearby. Pleasant public spaces & nice bar/restaurant (didn't eat there but the bar menu was ok). Helpful staff. Rooms are tiny -- […] my "double" didn't have room for a desk chair, just a stool -- and the bathroom even more so. Not a problem for my particular style; others might differ. Only issue is the thinness of the walls. Particularly if you've got an energetic couple next door, as was the case this last stay. Eeeep! Eeeep! EEEEEEEPE!!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Clean, Safe, and close to the metro station"
The overall look of the hotel is very nice and contemporary. It's an old building that they redid so the hallways are a little narrow and it snakes its way around the building but that's not the hotels fault, it's an old building. They start cleaning rooms a little early, around 8:30am, which was a little startling when I was asleep and the housekeeping […] staff was opening the door. Other than that, it was great. There is a nice window ledge outside if you want to keep drinks cool (since there is no fridge). I stayed in early December so I kept my bottles of water out there to stay cool. "Nice Spanish hotel in London"
I only stayed one night therefore my room (#419) being small and the lack of space in the bathroom did not bother me so much. No complaints with the cleanliness; my room was immaculate including the wooden floor. Front desk and dining room staff all friendly and very accommodating. It was apparent as a guest that your comfort was of utmost importance […] to the staff. The continental breakfast for 9.50 GBP was excellent. I especially liked the "hamon serrano" being that this was apparently a Spanish hotel. Some minor drawbacks: extremely small bathroom. I had to move sideways and on tiptoes to move around the bathroom. There was a strange "step" into the room, as well as into the bathroom. Not good for elderly guests. Thin walls and unfortunately, my bed was right against the wall to the hallway so I could hear people coming in and out of their rooms. Location and proximity to Paddington Train Station/Tube and Queensway Tube excellent. I would stay here again, but if so would ask for a larger room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We liked the location close to Hyde Park and the West End. The hotel was clean, comfortable and convenient. As long as you are not looking for a warm family atmosphere you could do a lot worse than the Caesar.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I loved the Caesar Hotel! First let me explain why the 4s on service and comfort of room: The one time I had need of room service, I found that I could only get cold food. I had been out all day and into the night and hadn't eaten. The ham sandwich, although very good, was not satisfying and I wish a full meal had been available. As for the room comfort, […] I found the bed to be a bit hard, but other than that, the stay was spectacular. The rooms are very small, but perfectly appointed. I was on my own in a room with a queen-sized bed. It was perfect and I couldn't have been more comfortable. I stayed for six nights and there was plenty of room for my clothes and toiletries. Had there been two people in the room, it would have been too small, though. The hotel is more or less equidistant from both the Paddington and Queensway stations. I kept getting lost coming back from Paddington at night, so preferred Queensway, as it really is much more a straight shot from the hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. I would be very happy to stay at The Caesar Hotel again on my next trip to London! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The Caesar is a fine hotel. The rooms are a bit small but that is normal for the UK. The beds and pillows are too firm for my taste. Yet the location is great, the ambience is lovely and I must say that the staff is absolutely superb. They are warm, welcoming and accommodate every request. "The pictures do not tell the story"
The hotel is in a good location, about 2 blocks from Hyde Park, near Paddington Station but in a quiet residential block. It offers reasonable rates, but do not take the lowest-level room unless you are by yourself. The smallest rooms are really not large enough for 2 people, especially with luggage. The room we were given had a very noisy bathroom […] fan and the hair dryer had no heating element. The AC was not operable. We had no view, but at least the room was quiet to the outside. The shower was tiny. There was barely enough room for us and our bags in the room. However, it was quite clean, and we were never disturbed by noise from other rooms. I do not understand why this hotel burns incense in the lobby 24/7 - it makes me think of pot smokers. If you are affected by scents, you will be bothered by this practice. We did not use the bar or restaurant so I can't say anything about the food offered. The room service prices seemed reasonable, compared to restaurant meals nearby. "Slamming doors every morning at 7:30AM"
Location was good but overpriced for the type of hotel it is. And if you ever plan on sleeping past 7:30 AM, forget it. "Elegant Euro hotel great location"
Liked this hotel - near Paddington Station, Hyde Park, 3 tube stops, very convenient. Staffed by Spaniards and other friendly Europeans. "classy, pretty, and well run"
This is a well run hotel in a great location, very close to Hyde Park, Metro and bus stops. I would recommend it to anyone. One point of clarity though: We had it in writing that we were getting a KING sized bed. Well folks, in Europe, thats the size of a queen sized bed.
