The night staff was very unfriendly. No matter how hard I tried to be pleasant I felt like I was a bother. There were guests hanging out in front of our room the night we arrived, just sitting on the curb "hanging out". The room smelled. We did not have any towels, we called the front desk 3 times and they never brought any towels to the room. The customer service was very poor. Its unacceptable not to have any towels in the room, we had to dry ourselves with paper. There was people in the parking lot drinking and I did not feel save to walk to the office to get towels. […] I would had expected to bring the towels to me. I was not happy with this stay at all!!! This was the cheapest hotel I could find which was fine with me, I went to a concert in Portsmouth and needed a place to crash for just 1 night afterward. I wasn't expecting it to be nice but I was disappointed in a few things. None of the outlets worked, which meant the lamps didn't work either. The bathroom was tiny and gross, meaning there was mold […] and rust on the toilet. When you turned on the shower only a trickle of water came out (terrible water pressure), along with a loud, annoying, high-pitched "hum." The staff was very friendly, which was refreshing. we knew we were booking a "cheap-hotel" just to crash two night wile visiting friends but ...cheap was an understatement! bed linens had huge stains and cigarette burns (gross!) towels had holes in them, big ones, shower made a very loud constant scream when water was on, we were laughing at this point because it was just too much!! carpet has big black […] stains, all bathroom grout was moldy.. the smell was awful... i mean this place was really bad... the kind of hotel you keep your shoes on the entire time your in the room. My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel during his Military training for a weekend. Being that he is a Police Officer as well, he tends to be a little more aware of his surroundings. As we approached the Hotel, he pointed out a group of thugs hanging out behind a building. That building just happened to be the hotel! We decided to give it the benefit […] of the doubt, since Portsmouth is 100% ghetto anyway. We never felt unsafe, nor were we disturbed. I was alone most of the day and never felt uncomfortable. The only thing I must complain about is the fact that we had no hot water after 9pm on our first night. When he showered the next morning, it was hot. The next night, the hot water took a while to reach our room and on our last morning there the water was ice cold for his shower and only hot long enough for me to shampoo my hair and rinse. We were in a bit of a hurry to check out so that we could arrive home on time, so I didn't complain to the staff. For the most part, this wasn't a bad hotel. We may stay there again for fear of ending up somewhere MUCH worse! Read more

The front desk office help were VERY nice and helpful, however, the room was a different story. Carpet was filthy, spilled coffee on walls, trash behind the lamps, towels had holes and stains, no hot water (yes, I took a shower in cold water), blankets on bed were stained and dirty, a hair was found on my sheet, there were people hanging out at midnight […] singing and laughing...the hotel is a dump. Good hotel, got one of the biggest rooms, my 13 month old was running around crazy and the most happiest person. The breakfast area was small, but the breakfast was really good with lots of options.
