Very convenient location for concerts ,shopping etc., Pity for the price of hotel that wi fi is not included. Beds very comfortableGenuine Expedia guest review
We stayed for 3 nights and found the Hotel location was very good, the hotel was very clean and we had been allocated a room on the 16 Th floor with good views of the city. On arrival we were greeted by the concierge who told us where to park and then we left the keys with them, they were both very helpful and very friendly, however i couldn't say […] the same for one of the other concierge men on checkout, he was very rude and ignorant and quite frankly shouldn't be in that kind of job, little guy big attitude! Other than this small incident we had a great stay and would recommend to friends and family. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by Hyatt Regency Birmingham Dear Sarah, Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent visit to our hotel. It is always a pleasure to receive compliments from our guests. I am pleased to hear that the staff provided such excellent customer service. It will be my pleasure to share your kind words with the team. We have very dedicated members of staff here who will be pleased to know their efforts have been recognised. I am sorry to hear of your disappointment regarding the concierge experience upon checkout. This is certainly not what our guests have come to expect from Hyatt. I have shared your comments with the front office manager to ensure we continually evaluate and improve the service we provide our guests. I hope you will consider this as an isolated experience. Best regards, James
Great stay would definately stay at the hotel again and was worth the price. Staff were very helpful and friendly the view from the room was gorgeous and the room itself was spacious including the single beds which were a very generous size. The matrix was very comfy and the bed cover nice and thick. You can adjust the room temperature to your liking […] if at times it feels slightley cold ir too warm. Overall, very satisfied, wonderful views over the city and we was only on the 12th floor! One thing that was disappointing, was the fact that there is no hotel carpark (nearest one about 5 mins walk away £13.50 for 24 hrs), unless you owned a Ferrari and you could park right outside the hotel front door !!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice hotel overall."
Very nice hotel, just wish I could afford it every time I am in birmingham, exactly what you would want from a hotel. The rooms are lovely, great views! Only things I dislike are that the car parking is a 5 minute walk with heavy bags, and that breakfast is not included in the price.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent Overall Hotel"
A really nice hotel, superb location (within 5 minutes walk of Birmingham New St Station). Very modern clean rooms, excellent bed and good working space with a large desk space, I only had a standard room as well. Really nice big bathroom, in fact a very good size room. I ordered a club sandwich for lunch and it was huge, very good quality too.Genuine Expedia guest review
Not cheap but a very comfortable hotel in the centre of Birmingham. Ideal for a special occassion. Good spa & gym.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Best Hotel in Birmingham - I am a Brummy so I know"
I have stayed in every hotel in Birmingham up until this weekend (apart from the Hyatt) because at one point or another we have managed to get a good deal to stay with the missus. The Hyatt has always been a little too pricey, I mean why stay there when you can stay at the Crown Plaza on some nights for nearly 50 large cheaper and it is 2 seconds round […] the corner and is another 4* Lux Hotel??:-) Got a good deal this weekend on Friday night for a personal double special occasion. This place should be 5* hands down. Can someone explain what the reasons are for not giving this place five stars as I have stayed in worse 5* hotels in London. The place has recently been done out. I won't bore you with a long review but if you have the option of staying here just do it. Britain's got Talent was filing on the Saturday across the bridge in the NIA and Simon Cowells Roller was parked outside the Hyatt with another Range Rover with the Number plate 'CGT 1' obviously 'BGT 1 was already sold' !!!! "Great stay and good service"
Generally great service from car parking, reception and bar. The hotel has good facilities and the room was great. Only negative (minor) was that the daily paper I ordered was not delivered. Also my other gripe (about many big hotel brands), and a big negative for me, is that they charge for internet; even though I knew about it before my stay it is […] just annoying to pay for it. However I just go for breakfast elsewhere (many options near the hotel) and get the internet for nothing. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Smart hotel and extremely friendly staff."
We had a excellent stay at the Hyatt enjoying the pool and spa. Only problem was that our door swipe failed to work on three occasions the last time with us in our robes up and down to the twenty floor. Staff could not have been nicer but after 20 min I was decidedly chilly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Easy to get to from new street"
Great clean friendly hotel, defiantly recommend to a friendGenuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful inner city hotel with great views."
I booked into the Hyatt with my daughter for her birthday treat. It's a wonderful hotel. (Useful Tip!!! It's well worth asking for a room above floor 12 (we were on floor 15) facing the Central Library - the views are magnificent!) Otherwise we loved it! I'd certainly go back again ... and maybe eat breakfast out!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Would stay again"
Great service, lovely room, close to station and city centre. Only downside was being so close to all the pubs and clubs, which on the weekend were noisy and not attractive to walk past. Swimming pool was great and all staff very friendly. Top tip ask for a quiet room away from street noise. We would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A proper Treat"
It was everything that I needed. Great room, fab pool and steam room. THe spa was very impressive and my massage was excellent. proper deep and relaxing. Thoroughly recommend!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location -stunning hotel but the bed was rock hard and pillows awful, worst nights sleep ever then maid barged in at 8:30 without knocking!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Lovely location for Christmas break in Birmingham"
Great stay. Newly refurbished room. Great price and location.Genuine Expedia guest review
Good quality hotel, competitive price for standard room, cunning upgrade offer .Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is great and the staff are very welcoming. I even had an email after my stay to thank me. I liked that idea. The room service was great and not over priced. The room was like a small suite which I am sure is normal. Great view over the City of Birmingham. Nice and relaxing stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice, clean and comfortable hotel smack in the middle of Brum.Genuine Expedia guest review
"LOVELY RELAXING HOTEL"
ALWAYS APPRECIATE THE BEAUTIFUL VIEWS, AND RELAXING AMENITIES AT THR HYATT. STAFF VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. ROOM VEAY SPACIOUS AND CLEAN.LOOK FORWARD TO RETURNING NEXT YEAR FOR CHRISTMAS MARKET.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel - check in poor"
Title summarises quite well!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was a great stay, we were offered a choice of rooms and found all staff to be very helpful. Only downside was small work to off site parking.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I had a room on the 15th floor over looking the city. Next morning the sun was up and was spectacular. The room was just right and a big comfortable bed. The shower area was just right. Loved the very large towels and bath robe.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel in the Town Centre"
Comfortable modern hotel in the centre of Town and very convenient for the Christmas Market - which is what we were interested in. The hotel is an easy 15 minute walk from Birmingham, New Street station. Hotel staff were welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious and afforded a good view (from the 15th floor) of the town and adjacent Canal. The […] pool and spa centre were excellent. What I can't understand is why they seek to charge for internet connection at £9.95 for 24 hours. This is surely against the trend, as most places where we ate in Birmingham had free WiFi. We baulked at paying £17 + for breakfast and had breakfast instead at nearby cafes (Brewsmiths & Yorks), where the food was better value! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Nothing short of probably the best hotel in Birmingham.Nothing was a problem for the staff and everything just seems that little bit better then expected.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good position - well looked after"
Really comfortable beds, great position in the centre of town. The breakfast is lovely, but make sure you buy a voucher the night before - it's only £10.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
As the title says, the Hyatt is clean and comfortable, in a great location in the middle of Birmingham and quite quiet. But there are no frills or personal touches here, it's an expensive stay and for the money you may be better off finding a very nice B&B outside Birmingham only a short train ride away.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Business stay for ICC"
Hotel is a very pleasant hotel as it should be given its rating. However, it's a shame that the customer service on reception is not as friendly. The CrownePlaza is just as nice an friendlier. Rooms also quite cold even with heating on.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Bed, tired bathroom"
Bathroom needs updating as had a feeling I'd been transported to the 80's. Room fan rattled all night, but staff were very apologetic. Porters were great and overall a good stay. I'm not sure I'd be as positive had I paid the full rate for a deluxe room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel with great city views."
I have stayed at the Hyatt now for over 20 years and have always had a good experience. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice. On this last visit we found a few things not as good as usual but only minor problems for example there was only one English tea bag and nothing at all in the mini bar apart from milk. We were also woken […] up at 8.20am the first morning by housekeeping to clean our room. This may have been our fault as we should have used the do not disturb sign but we were then woken again at 9am the next morning again by housekeeping even though we didn't have to check out till 12. The spa facilities were lovely but again shampoo and toiletries not stocked up throughout the day. Overall we had an enjoyable stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A little noisy..."
We picked the day of Birmingham half marathon to stay here, the starting line was right outside our room and we didn't manage to get a room on higher floor so all the noise from the street from early morning woke us up. Not to mention drunk people on Broad street making noise till late night. When I checked in we were offered champagne in the room instead […] of an upgrade but I declined as we don't drink, but I thought it was a lovely gesture. The front desk had lovely smiles but it wasn't quite the romantic night I wanted I'm afraid. Parking was a bit of a nightmare, not great when it's raining and windy outside as well. I live in the city centre but wanted a lovely romantic night for a birthday so booked this for a special occasion, but now I wish we just stayed at my apartment and I wouldn't be left with lighter purse! Considering the rate, I'm surprised that it doesn't even include breakfast. The reason I booked this hotel above others is the fact that it has a bath tub. What's with the 'luxury' hotels charging so much money without a bath tub these days? If I'm paying a lot for just one night, I'd like to be given the option of such luxury. The other thing I'd like to mention is that the room style is quite out dated, there are lots of 'boutique' type hotels around and it would be nice to upgrade their decor. Maybe nicer bathroom products, modern colour schemes would make it a top quality hotel. It was kept clean though. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location and great service"
The room we had was ruined slightly by the view but nether the less the standards were as we expected. We were on fifth floor and had a normal standard room. Room service wasnt overly great especially the lambs neck dish ...... absolutely disgusting!!!! Apart from that great location, clean and comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Clean comfortable in good location"
Very friendly and efficient service. Well-appointed hotel with pool and gym and lounge serving snacks. We chose it to be near the repertory theatre and it is very convenient for that. Comfortable and clean rooms and I thought good value for moneyGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very good central position."
Excellent. The view from floor 22 to the West, saw a great sunset. Easy walk along canal path to the NIAGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I stayed in the hotel for 3 days, the hotel was lovely and very very clean and close to the ICC Birmingham there was even a direct bridge leading to the ICC which was very convenient. However when checking out I was presented with bills for room services that according to them were ordered by me but in fact I didn't use any room services as I was in […] Birmingham for a conference and my days were really busy I just used the hotel to sleep at night. It was obvious that there was a mixing up in the room numbers when taking room service orders. At the end I didn't pay anything but the time delay to get it sorted was very annoying and also in a way it was a bitt embarrassing to me because I had to justify myself instead of them having a solid billing system. "Not bad, not fantastic"
Hotel fab from outside and lobby, excellent concierge service. Room dated and in desperate need of modernising. Location good. 10 min walk to bullring. 5 min walk to mailbox and canals. I had a great rate of £20 but if I had paid full price I would have been disappointed. Not worth what they charge! Extras also extortionate! £18 for breakfast! £4.95 […] for a hot drink to the room with a £3 tray service charge on top! I don't think so! Lovely for a cheap rate but would not stay there again and pay full price! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

We stayed here with our toddler on our way back home to Dubai. Hotel itself is very nice and comfortable. Very conveniently located to nearby Malls and restaurants.
