Great location right on Las Ramblas. Room was very pleasant. Shower had a problem with temperature control but that was fixed immediately upon bringing it to their attention. WiFi in the room was free but the signal was weak- worked only in some parts of the room. Overall, a very satisfactory experience.

Overall, it's a very pleasant hotel in the middle of Ramblas - quite convenient really. Maid service is outstanding, however, the reception clerks are rather snooty. There's absolutely no reason to be!

Bathroom was very dirty, toilet was disgusting, hair was all around in the bathroom, covers were not thick enough to keep one warm, there was no kitchennette, we asked for a smoking room online they gave us a non smoking room, you need to pay for the safe and even the ice and glasses... the shower wasn't working when we arrived.

Excellent location at the centre of the city. Walking distance to all major attractions and to the stop to the City Tour bus. The room was somewhat small for two persons (small beds and narrow circulating spaces) but the bathroom was good. Very nice decor and good breakfast.

Great location, very expensive, bad maintenance. For a hotel this expensive, there should be more services and comfort. Although the hotel seems to have passed through some renovations recently, to give it a trendy style, some structural items like hot water and room heating were disappointing.

Great location. Right in the middle of all the fun on Ramblas. Our Sink was leaking water and they didn't come to fix it until a day later after I notified them of the problem. Tiny elevator. On busy days, you have to wait a long time or climb up the stairs.

Good location and good breakfast. Other than that, not happy. Our room was so small and noisy and dark. If you're claustrophobic. you could suffocate. Our room was also noisy -- not from the outdoors but from doors opening and closing, staff conversation, guests coming and going, etc. I asked for a quiet room because I read reviews complaining about […] noise coming from Las Ramblas and they gave us an interior room with no windows -- like a closet. I asked for a change of rooms but they said they were fully booked. Our friends who also had a reservation were taken to an apartelle next door because the hotel said there was something wrong with the electricity and the plumbing of the room assigned to them. The apartelle was okay except that you had to climb up 2 flights of spiral staircases after taking the elevator to the 4th floor. To make matters worse, the elevator broke down. One night, there was no lighting in the stairwell so our friends used the light from their cell phone to see the steps. I would not recommend this hotel. Read more

We decided to stay in a hotel on the Ramblas and boy did we ever pick a great one. This hotel is located directly on the Ramblas right where it begins. The hotel has A/C which is hard to find in this area. it came with a great breakfast as well.

We chose to stay in Barcelona an extra day before boarding a cruise ship. This hotel is well located. An easy cab ride to the port. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The breakfast is very good with a variety to serve both American and European tastes. Would I stay there again? Certainly!

This is the first time I've been led astray by the ratings. Expedia gave this hotel four stars. I was very disappointed in this hotel. Upon arrival, the front desk personnel seemed aloof and unwelcoming. The atmosphere at the front desk reminded me of a very cheap American roadside motel. They initially gave me a room on the first floor and promply […] informed me that since I booked through Expedia, I would not be entitled to the complementary breakfast. Ok, no biggie on the breakfast, but I did want a room in a better location. So,after asking, they gave me one on the sixth floor. No offer to help with luggage. Elevators were EXTREMELY small and slow. My room was not a queen bed as I'd requested, but rather two twin beds pushed together. The room was clean enough, but had a cold and unwelcoming vibe. There was a safe in the room as described by the website; however, it required an actual key (no code panel on this safe) which you had to "rent" a couple of euros a day. I needed the safe, so I walked back down to the front desk and requested the key. The key looked like something out of the 19th century. The only plus about this hotel is the location on Las Ramblas, but that is only worth so much. Don't waste your money here - poor facilities and service. Read more

The hotel was fine. The price that you are paying is for location alone. The hotel beds are not comfortable. The view of the back alley was not what I thought. We only slept at the hotel. For the price, it was not a deal. You could stay right off the main road and get better value for your money.

Rivoli Ramblas was a better hotel than our hotel in Paris for the same price. The breakfast at Rivoli Ramblas is amazing, variety of breads, eggs and breakfast meats. This hotel is in a very good location, but is noisy. Theroom we were given overlooked a wall . The beds were uncomfortable and the toilet did not work half the time. We complained about it, but it was never really fixed. For the money it was not a great deal.

Great location but when we arrived we were put in a very small room which was very warm and advised that there was no air conditioning. When we returned to reception and told them this was not acceptable that unless they had a cooler room we would have to stay elsewhere, they "found a nice large room which did have air conditioning".

Having just returned from a weeks stay in this hotel, I thought I would write my very first review. The Good Points: Location, fantastic for all your exploring and public transport needs, WIFI, free in the hotel , which is a bonus although it was a little slow sometimes, Rooms, reasonable size with all you need for a comfortable stay. If it is not from the Las Ramblas road, the internal courtyard seating area or the poor sound proofing and build quality of the hotel with doors slamming and corridor noise. This hotel could have so much going for it but the sound proofing is almost non existent. We had 2 peaceful nights to begin with with few people on our floor but as the rooms filled, the noise rose. The internal courtyard noise with revelers drinking and shouting reverberates throughout the whole hotel. The hotel management were unwilling or unable to handle these ''Guests'' As midnight approached, the noise was still overwhelming. Although this hotel is ideally located, I would not recommend it, there are many other hotels much quieter to choose from. Read more
