Only had one night after horrendous car journey. Room clean and comfortable. Managed to get wi-fi in room despite not understanding how to log in. Breakfast so-so. Got a good rate on the room.

With the exception of splatter on the wall of the room and a not so great looking neighbourhood, our stay was great, we would happily stay again. Drinks were reasonably priced, the menu in the restaurant could do with a revamp as it was too posh for our liking, but there's plenty of places to eat within a 10 minute walk.

Ok average hotel stay. Watch out for pricey car parking charge. I was charged nine pounds at check out for one nights stay after being under the opinion that parking was free as stated on hotel's . Com web site.

The hotel was just what I wad looking for, clean, friendly and comfortable. Only problem we experienced was a rather odd but loud noise for a continuous period around 1:40am - no ideas what it was but kept us awake.

I would regretfully have to say the service at reception was very poor. It had taken an hour to book me in, even though I had already made a reservation and payment 6 hours before arrival with confirmation Ref no. Manager had also spoken to hotels.com several times on my mobile but still prolonged to book me in. The manager decided to serve another […] customer while I was standing there, still with no progress. When entering the room after an hour of sorting the booking, I realised the window could not be opened at all. I asked the manager if I can change room upon point of arrival, however the manager failed to fulfil this request. At this point I had given up and spent most of the night away from the hotel. I have given negative feedback to the general public and businesses nearby. I use hotels on a frequent basis, however will not be considering Ramada hotels ever in the future. Very disapointed and would rate Ramada as an 2* hotel. Compensation would be desired. Read more

We were on the 4th floor. It was smallish but adequate. Very clean and tidy. The TV provided tv channels, radio access, and a bank of music to choose from so not having an ipod with us wasn't a problem at all. The mattress was not well sprung and we rolled together all night. There was no getting away from it! The bar was open 24 hours and the staff very polite. The only disappointment here was that they stopped serving draught at midnight and we then had to buy bottles or spirits which made the rounds very expensive. Also, the toilets were on the first floor which becomes a bit of a pain given that the bar is on the ground floor. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on that, but the menu looked lovely and varied. The car park was huge and right next door, leading directly on to the hotel reception. It cost us £4.60 to park overnight which I thought was very reasonable. Hotel itself was on the edge of a main roundabout but very easy to access and the road could not be heard from the hotel room. Very close to Ikea, the ice rink and the shopping centre. So to summarise, the hotel staff in general were very helpful, rooms clean, bed was the only issue and I would stay there again. Read more

Stayed in one of the suites on the 16th floor (featuring a microwave, and fridge so you can pretend like you will cook. And a lounge with a second TV and some sofas in there). The hotel was a short walk from Coventry train station. The outside of the building is a little depressing but it is clean and as you would hope for on the inside. Not a good stay - I travel quite a lot with my sons - they were going for their first ever session in a recording studio the next day so we travelled down on the Friday so could have a refreshing nights sleep. Arrived about 9.15 p.m. The hotel lobby is very shabby - reception luke warm. the lifts to the 12 floor were scary - really old and noisy. Rooms […] not good - the walls were all scraped and needed a repaint. Beds comfy but were on wheels and every time you moved so did your bed???? went to lobby there were some restaurants across the street but not suitable but me and two young teenagers - Friday night curry houses. so went back in and ordered room service - told had to pay cash so scrabbling around for the £20 for 1 pizza and chips. the food when it arrived was swimming in oil the chips quite cold. couldnt get through to complain so went back to lobby in creaky lift - over 20 tourists were booking in so gave up. got propositioned in lift back to my room (What!!!) we went to bed with a large bar of chocolate and haribos. when leaving reception still busy - it is £4 from train station in taxi so reasonably close to amenities however the Premier Inn next door looked very inviting from our poorly decorated ivory tower. A good hotel for an overnight stay. In the area between the ring road and studentland.Clean and comfortable for the money. Staff were pleasant but not exceptional. Breakfast was good. The car park next door (cost £4.50 for the night) looks dreadful and I was concerned about leaving my car there, though it was fine.

The hotel comfortable, but soulless - it is a standard chain hotel. My room was devoid of character. but clean, bright and spacious. There were a few issues though. I ordered room service; the half way through my sorbet, I discovered a large lump of sharp, hard plastic in it. The restaurant took it away quickly, were apologetic and offered me a replacement, […] which I accepted. The next morning, when I went to pay for breakfast, the woman couldn't get the till to work, so I had to wait about 15 minutes. The twin beds were both roomy and comfortable. Room size was ok, a lick of paint required on a wall and window sill. Very pleased with the bath room. Found the breakfast was expensive but you can eat al you wish. Would definitely stay here again.

I liked that it was not right in the city centre so had a lovely nights sleep with no drunken/pub/club noises. The hotel is very decent. The hotel is in a poor location which is historic. The staff endeavoured to make my stay as agreeable as possible. This they did. Coventry needs to be "re-vamped". The poor location was soon forgotten and the room and service made up for any shortcomings in location. I enjoyed my stay and would return without hesitation.

You know I read reports in the press about people bad mouthing hotels just to get something out of them, put pressure on them for a deal or discount and so on. I have been staying in this hotel, on and off, for several years and I like the rooms, a bit like mini apartments. The location is OK, it's near most main access to to the city and main roads […] to the NEC and, lately, there are new restaurants nearby. Had a brill experience the other night. Went to the Thai next door and realised that it was really the Bangladeshi, selling Thai, BUT they had a buffet at £9.95 - mega! AND it was actually quite good. A bit weird though being served by non orientals - but I still like the meal. Pleasant staff in the hotel, no agro's and the TV, which did not work, was sorted quickly. Slight issue with coldness in the room and the house maid turning the Aircon down each morning, but it was a bitter day outside and turning it on soon warmed the room up. I'm going to stay again as, for me, the consistent standard suits me well and I am not paying the rates you have to if you are near the NEC, during a trade fair - which is why I normally am there. One gripe. Lifts are toooooo slow and I ended up walking upstairs each night, but only 2 flights. Thank goodness I was not on the 11th floor! Read more

Very nice ,clean room , with excellent shower room and well equipped.Great value for the price we paid but no real wow factor. I would possibly stay here again if visiting Coventry but wouldnt recommend it to anyone else as it was nothing special. Reception staff were not particularly helpful and verged on being rude.

Last time we booked a Ramada (Glasgow) they double booked us; dropping us for a rugby team. This time Ramada (Coventry) had another trick up their sleeve - despite me booking a non-smoking double room; we were told upon check-in that a smoking double or non-smoking twin was all that was available... although... if we paid a further £12 we would get […] upgraded to a studio. On my questioning into why they didn't have the room I had booked ... surprise surprise ... after fiddling with the computer for a couple of minutes - oh, they had the room i booked! Sneaky!! I stayed 1 night 19th March and enjoyed my stay. Check in and out was trouble free with friendly, helpful reception staff. Room was comfortable, good bathroom particularly the excellent shower and very clean. Breakfast was the usual buffet style breakfast typical of most hotels of this type but of a reasonable standard. I only have one negative the […] bar service was very slow on a very quiet night. Decorating ongoing during my stay caused a little disruption and I did object to the smell of paint whilst eating breakfast!
