Days Inn Cincinnati East - Cincinnati

My room was reserved for a stay of 4 days with our dog. When we checked in on Tuesday afternoon there seemed to be no problem. My husband left the room that next morning ans left me in the room sick. I ran to the pharmacy for meds and when I returned the room key would not work. Upon going to the office I was told that we have a pet that was not paid […] for so the rooom was locked. I paid the extra and got the key unlocked. I brought my paperwork back to the desk and showed the woman my conformation letter stating we reserved 1 room w/dog, She said she was sorry and blamed it on the girl from the night before not checking the reservation. I had to run back to the office for tissue and toilet paper because the maid never knocked on the door one time during our stay to see if we needed anything.(Thank god we bring our own towels).The water was a nasty brown when it came out of any water faucet. If you wanted to use the microwave in the room you had to pull the dresser from the wall and unplug the tv or the fridge.the bed spread had a tear in it. The door to our doom never shut properly. You could see the parking lot from inside the room laying in bed,there was that much of an opening when closed. This hotel needs to close untill they can make it more comfortable to stay in . I won't stay at this Days Inn again, The Red Roof Inn is just across the road ,we may try our luck there. Days Inn let us down big time this trip. Read more

Great stay, but it's next to a bar and can get very loud. The heater was also broke, there was dirty hand prints in the bathroom on the wall. The light in the bathroom went out and started flickering terribly. The lights aren't in very good condition. The beds were very comfortable though and still was pleasant, even with all the bad things.

The staff were dreary and sad looking, the room was dreadful the carpet was moldy and smelt awful the lounge cushions did not fit the lounge and erupted in clouds of dust whenever touched even slightly the lighting outside the rooms was terrible with only one in every eight lights working. The fridge was on the floor in the corner and covered in a sticky […] substance and was completely unusable (there was a gaping hole in the sink cabinet which i presume is where the fridge should have been located) and the tap dripped all night. There were electrical extension cords draped around the benches for the tv and lamps to plug into and the shower/bathroom was in much the same condition and I was unable to even adjust the temperature of the water. The "breakfast" area consisted of a tiny area with 4 small tables pushed together and 4 chairs and the drink dispensers were broken. The floor of the lift (which surprisingly worked) was wet most of the time (I hope from people who had been swimming and not something more sinister). We have never stayed in such an awful place that we felt the need to drive to the gas station and buy bottled water because we didn't feel it would be safe to drink from the taps at the hotel and considered burning the clothes we slept in just to be safe. I just needed a place to stay for one night after a concert, and this was the cheapest and closest place we could find. The room was dirty, some sticky spots on the carpet. Beadspreads had large burn holes in them. The bathroom was disgusting. I didn't even shower the following morning because I didn't want to get in the tub. There is a bar connected to the hotel, and even though our room was on the opposite end of it, we could still hear the noise from the bar very clearly late into the night. This was hands down the worst hotel stay of our lives! We walked into the room to find nothing but filth. The dresser had water damaged wood and the drawers were falling off the tracks. Dirt and filth on the inside of the drawer. The bathroom door would not shut of lock so we had to hold the door shut to use the restroom. We asked for maintainence to […] fix the door and came back to our room with the handle out of the door, screws on the floor, and a hole where the handle used to be!!!! The wallpaper had spackle on it in three different places. The bathroom had nicotine stains that drip dried above the toilet and the bathtub had black "something" in all four corners. Oh, and the pool?? Dont believe the pic on their website that has crystal clear blue water!!! It was green with a sign that read "DANGER: POOL CLOSED!" Room in very poor shape. Chairs were filthy. Veneer torn off the table, bad spots in the wall. Carpet dirty. Shower needed work, Refrigerator was stained and banged up on the outside (didn't look inside.) Sheets on one of the double beds were either dirty or stained.

The place was awful. Dirty comforter, smoke detector was off the wall and battery was out. Curtain was broken, doorknobs were coming off. Electrical outlets were loose and very unsafe. My husband waited 20 minutes for someone to show up so we could check in. Pool was empty, should have been open!!

We chose this hotel because it is close to our family, and we got a wonderful rate from hotels.com. Our room was supposed to be non-smoking, but when we checked in we found cigarette wrappers in the drawers (which were dirty and needed wiped out) and cigarette burns on the bedspread. Price was right. The outside door did not shut all the way. We made due with the dead bolt lock. The headboard fell off one bed..luckily for two of us there were two double beds. There seemed to be a trick to get hot water as it took two of us some fiddling to find the exact number of rotations to get hot water. This hotel looks very nice and clean in the pictures. THese same pictures showed both a microwave and a small refridgerator in the room. When we arrived the front desk person didn't verify my name, that should've been a clue that we were the only ones checking in from Hotels.com. THe room was up a very decrepid elevator and contained none of the amenities […] shown in the photos and in fact was flat out filthy. The beds were clean although the sheets/coverlets had cigarette holes. there was black mold in the bath tub, tile and celing. spider webs on the mirror, and curtains that did not close fully. when i went to the front desk to ask about the microwave, fridge and ironing board i was told that i had to go to the Official web site for Days Inn to see what they really offered and that they didn't have those items. When i challenged this because the open door to the room next door clearly showed them in there, the clerk/manager said oh, yeah. i told him the room was not acceptable, he said he would recommend that we be moved in the morning. the sound coming from the attached bar was loud enough to follow me to my room. the next day we were moved unhappily to a room with at least a refridgerator and slightly cleaner bathroom. every day our card had to be rekeyed, i wish I could post the pictures on this site. I had driven by this hotely before and fromt he outside it looks older but i thought because it was a Days Inn it wuld be a higher standard than it was. Avoid this hotel. Read more

My nieces and nephews were traumatized by the bar that is connected to this hotel! There is loud hollering and music coming out of that bar until 4 in the morning. The rooms aren't that great and need a lot of repairs. I suggest paying the little extra money to stay somewhere else.

We had booked 5 rooms and in everyroom there were items broken, leaking, mold on the bathroom walls, smoke alarms going off during showers, TVs not working, gaps around doors to let in cold air (not a problem at the time but outside doors not tight), bathroom doors sticking not easy to open and air conditioners leaking and soaking carpets (potential […] situation for mold).
