"Pleasant one-night stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 26, 2013
The hotel is conveniently located close to the downtown Toronto airport. I think if the weather had been nicer and we didn't have as much luggage, it would have been possible to walk from the airport to the hotel (how often can one say that!) There is alot of construction outside the hotel, so it was tough to find it by car and it was also hard getting a cab later that day. Patience is necessary. The hotel staff was cold and brusque, not accommodating at all. They refused a one-hour late checkout. Also, we asked for a double room, but was given a king because there were no more doubles available. Though the room was an upgrade to a corner "suite," it was still inconvenient. The room itself was lovely. Huge bathroom, clean, comfortable, spacious. We would go back there again, particularly when the weather is nicer and we can explore the harborfront area (there is a shopping mall down the street that looked really nice with restaurants and a supermarket).
"Hampton Inn - should have more than 21/2 stars"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 26, 2013
Very clean, comfortable hotel. Discreet service. Premises seem well maintained. Parking lot felt a little crowded, though - perhaps it should be a bit bigger given the size of the hotel.

"Great location and value!"
Awesome location in Downtown Toronto; walking distance to shopping, restaurants and more. Staff is super friendly, and the hotel is updated and very clean. Our room also had a refrigerator, desk area, and flat screen. Great room rate compared to other hotels- I would definitely stay here again!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Spot in the Middle of Downtown"
Overall this is a nice little spot that's very close to the major attractions in downtown Toronto. Our goal was to experience the city so we didn't spend much time in the room, but it was a nice little spot to come back to at night. As mentioned in some other reviews, the bathrooms are not soundproofed at all from the rest of the room so if you are […] squeamish about the person you intend to share the room with being able to hear what they already knew you were doing in there you may want to look elsewhere. Outside of that the only other complaint was that the concierge service was hit or miss. One night the concierge suggested taking in a show at the renowned Second City to avoid the rain from Hurricane Sandy which was a wonderful idea, especially considering we had somehow missed that the city had a Second City troupe. A different concierge the next morning was somehow unable to even recommend a place for breakfast, even though we had found a very good diner called The Senator literally around the corner that had been there since the late 1800s the day before. All in all it was a great little spot that was very close to everything we wanted to see during our visit. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Wouldn't stay here again"
The location is prime. The rooms are clean and the staff friendly but it is NOT pictured as at the website. It looks like a nice boutique hotel. It's a bit run down, the pics are the pics of the hotel but are very deceiving as the rooms are TINY. Thought we were staying at a 3-4 star hotel. Got a great rate. Guess you get what you pay for. "convenient to university and downtown sights"
I recently stayed at the bond place hotel for a week-long business trip. The rooms were clean and modern. I liked the hardwood floors, the updated bathroom, and the fact that the windows open. The decor was simple and soothing. There are plenty of restaurants, shops, and markets within easy walking distance. There is easy access to public transportation. […] I thought the front desk staff was somewhat unfriendly, but they were responsive to any requests I had. The housekeeping staff was very friendly! I'd stay here again. "Very satisfied customer"
Top marks for location. Room smaller than the big name hotels, but at more than half the price well worth the stay. Bed very comfy, room clean and modern, no complaints at all.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Hotel room itself was decent. The beds were comfortable. The employees at the hotel weren't at all friendly, however. I was also told that if I purchased internet it would work on multiple devices. This proved to be untrue as the internet barely worked at all, and when it did it would only allow me to use the passcode provided on one device at a time. […] Being from out of the country and not having internet access I was pretty disconnected from my family during my entire stay. $70 spent on internet for nothing. "Good location"
Great hotel overall in a good location. Decent cardio equipment in the gym. But still charging for the WIFI in 2012 is petty in my opinion.Genuine Expedia guest review
Cons: they change their wifi password every 24hrs., had to log on every time you opened and closed iPad and mobile. Then call down to front desk for password, sometimes the phone rang and rang, I guess other guests we're calling. Another con: could not print boarding pass from computer terminal, had to email to front desk. Caveat: if your booking on […] a third party website, you will most likely get the lower floors where it it very noisy. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Location and Service"
Very centrally located with easy access to public transit, cabs, and within walking distance of many spots downtown. The staff was courteous and very helpful. The original plan was to switch rooms after the first night because a friend and I booked a night each separately, but the staff was able to keep us in the same room both nights. "Looks clean from a far."
Wasn't a terrible stay. The hotel is fairly maintained. The lobby smelled of a dirty mop every time we walked in and The bed skirts on all 3 beds had stains on them like dried snot (no kidding). I woke up to find a brown bug crawling on my arm. I don't know if it was a bed bug but it was a bug in bed with me. I found strands of hair on the sheet and […] towels. "Things to do"
The place where you park your car before checking in was very poorly marked! Had to park in an alley go in to the lobby to find out that the garage was across the street. So we went to the garage to park went back to the hotel to register then went back to the garage to get luggage. Not very functional. "I'm NOT "Bond"ing with these guys!"
Weird shaped room next to elevator. TV would not turn on. Extremely dusty room, especially under beds. NO DRAWERS for clothes. Room smelled like smoke in a non-smoking facility? Concierge service was inconsistent. Parking was not on site, with no drop off area. Had to cross 2 busy city streets with luggage. Air conditioner blows directly at you while […] you try to sleep, had to turn it off and "sweat it out". Unreasonable fee for WIFI access. Never will use this facility again. "Poor bathroom design cancels out everything else"
Our family stayed in a lovely modern room with two twins and a double bed. The front desk staff was good= except for our confusion about a woman who seemed to be a concierge but was really a representative for an outside tour bus company. The biggest flaw was the bathroom- there is no real door!!! Think of a sliding door on a track- imagine that they […] didn't bother removing trim around the doorway so the hollow core sliding door could lay flush. Everything was audible - even with the fan on. I've never seen this anywhere else, even at the cheapest American motels I've had the misfortunate to stay at. So, while the hotel was pretty, the front desk helpful, the location super convenient, that crazy, crazy silly bathroom design makes it impossible to recommend. If the bathroom had a real door, I'd be recommending highly. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

A nice city hotel- right in the middle of things. Parking was a bust. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Unusually quiet for a city location. Hotels.com bosted free internet- but could not log on for free. It cost $5 per hour.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A decent hotel to explore Toronto"
The wife and I visited Toronto for the first time in August 2012. We were not looking to spend our trip staying inside the hotel so what we were looking for in a hotel was just the basics: moderate price, clean, and great location. The Bond Place Hotel met these needs. The location of the hotel was excellent. We were within walking distance from Yonge-Dundas […] Square which is the Toronto's equivalent of Times Square (in NYC). It is also one of the pick-up places of the "Hop on- Hop off" bus tours which I highly recommend for those who truly want to explore the city. The hotel is also near a lot of restaurants. And close to Eaton Square Mall which has one of the best Food Courts I have ever dined in. As for the Bond Place Hotel itself, the hotel lobby is small but clean. The floor hallways are quite narrow, dark and kind a bit shady and scary looking. The room is also small but clean. The bathroom did not have your typical door with a lock but rather a sliding door kind of deal (like a closet) so take that into consideration when booking with someone other than family. The hotel neighborhood can be a bit shady at night but then again it is a city afterall. The hotel service and staff is good ... no issues there. Finally, I like the convenience of the Bond Place Hotel having a parking garage of their own right across from their building ... for a fee of course ( $15 CAN per night). As we all know, parking in the city can be a nightmare and so this was definitely a plus. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location"
Had a decent stay at the Bond Place Hotel. It was an older hotel that was renovated and you can see the age. Room was small but was fine for a solo traveler like me. Room was clean . The location was perfect as it was right next to Eaton Centre and walking distance from everything which was a huge perk.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Trendy decor, central locale"
The modern decor of our Bond Place Hotel room gave it a cosmopolitan ambiance. Located just one block from Eaton Centre mall, it is convenient to shopping (and Starbucks). A minor snag: there was nowhere to hang wet towels. A big plus for families: we were thrilled to find a hotel has rooms with three beds (one queen and two singles); that is what sold […] us on it. Price was good considering all of these factors. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, nice clean hotel, good value"
Came with the family. Very friendly reception all ok. Breakfast special good value. Excellent location next to Dundas Square. Rooms clean. The only thing I would mention, is that if you have ordered a big room with 2 twins and a queens, the airconditioning unit blows over the heads of the twin beds, which annoyed the kids. But that is only one room […] type and generally I would recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice modern hotel with one flaw"
Everything was clean and meticulous. The rooms have a major flaw though. The A/C units are all (except for expensive suites) right by the side of the bed and blow right on you. Other than shutting them off, there was no way to control them and I woke up quite stiff. The other challenge is the European half glass in the shower. We Americans are not […] accustomed to that style and tend to get water on the bathroom floor unless one is VERY careful. Other than that, everything was great. Note that the hotel does not have its own parking but discounted parking in a public lot across the street. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

It was a great surprise! A compact but very comfortable room in a very convenient location. The neighborhood felt pretty safe at all times. Couldn't beat the room price (but it did make the continental breakfast seem pricey).. Would gladly recommend to others.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel for holiday trip and for singles"
This hotel is clean and modern with an ideal location. It is not an ideal for business travelers if you need to work in your hotel room. There were many travel groups in the hotel so the lobby and elevators can become quite busy with long waits. The coffee shop/juice bar in the hotel was not open but there are several places within easy walking distance. […] Parts of the neighborhood around at first looked a bit dodgy but after walking around, I was not as worried. The rooms are small but comfortable. I had a Business Queen so I am not sure how small the regular rooms are. There is a closet and small fridge but no place to put folded clothes. For a Holiday trip this hotel is perfect. "Great location, but they should include internet"
Internet is $10 a day (excessive in my opinion), there are 2 computers in the lobby that you can use for free but they see a lot of visitors during the day so you may to wait in line. There is no printer available either. It is a nice and clean property and a great location if you like crowds and shopping, there were a few concerts (free) in the square […] just 1 block away. "Looks better in the pictures"
This hotel is OK, nothing more. Fine if you're staying one night, but rooms are small and much like a budget hotel in Europe. No frills, no carpet, no real desk, small bathroom, thin towels, thins sheets... you get the idea. It's very close to Yonge St. entertainment, but there are homeless / drug addicts / panhandlers that hang out in front of the […] hotel and hassle you. One guy was asleep / passed out at night when I came in and then still there in the morning when I left. Somehow I don't think the major hotel chains would allow vomit covered vagrants to sleep on their doorstep overnight. Bond Place doesn't seem to care and/or that's what this neighborhood is all about... Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
