"walking required to center"
We were upgraded to a king bed but the faucets in the shower and the bathroom sink were loose and the hot/cold water could not be regulated - at one point the water got very hot and it couldn't be adjusted for a few secondsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Javits"
Convenient to get to Javits without cab. Decent restaraunts walkable distance. But my room did not come with the mini fridge or microwave that was promised on the confirmation. I was on the third floor facing the pool which is on the same floor. I couldn't open the curtains on my window because of the walkway just outside..Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were happy to find this hotel in NYC at a reasonable rate. Free parking was a big draw. My only complaint was the room was overheated. Staff came to correct it after I called the front desk but they left without changing a thing. I could have put up a fuss but it's not my way. We opened our window but it was next to an outside hall so there was the […] issue of privacy and possibly safety. I would stay here again but would pursue recourse to any complaints I may have. "Good location, hit-or-miss with the staff"
The location of the hotel is great as it is only a short walk away from the times square. The room and bath was small but reasonable considering the location. The bed may have been the smallest full-sized bed I've ever seen in my travels across the US. The main complaint I have with this hotels are some of its staff, mainly regarding the free parking. […] The lot is small so when its busy, many cars get blocked in by double parked cars. With some staff members, they were very accommodating in moving cars so that you can get in/out but some others were very nasty about it. Couple of the staff members immediately started yelling and screaming at me the moment I asked if I can get out (this was the first and the only time I needed my care during my 2 night stay) and told me not to come back with the car if they let me out. I can see how bothersome this could be if people go in and out multiple times a day but there's no reason to verbally attack a customer who was not informed of this at any point during check in. The friendly parking staff get a nice tip. The angry ones need to realize what they are missing out on. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hard to beat the value"
If you're bringing a car into New York City, it's hard to argue with the free parking that this hotel offers at this price point. My wife and I came to NYC just for a day to see a Broadway show and do some shopping, and for that this hotel is perfect. Easy walk to Times Square, a very fairly priced deli just next door for breakfast or lunch, and though […] the room was small and old-school, the strong water pressure shower was one of the best I've had in a hotel in a long time. "Great for the price!!!!"
We were so happy with our stay. It was right off the Henry Hudson. So convenient and easy! The free parking was what really made it!!! We brought our car right in and had it parked for us in minutes. They let us leave our car there the next day as well even after we checked out! We will definitely go there again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Outstanding for Trade Shows"
Always appreciate Travel Inn, have stayed there for years. Comfortable room and walking distance to the Javits center. The heating controls in the rooms are my only complaint. You have to open a window to cool the room down as there is no thermostat. Otherwise, quiet comfortable and easy to get in and out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"In need of updating"
Free parking on site was a major plus. We stayed here 2 nights and these rooms need major updating the bed linens were ancient and the beds were really UN-comfortable(my bed even had plywood between the box spring and mattress) carpets were in bad shape as well. Maintenance wise it was falling apart as well. Bath towels didn't smell clean either day. "Best buy for the money"
We came into The City before a cruise as there was a big snow storm coming in. The room was not much but there was free parking, I decent bite to eat in the morning downstairs, and a bed in NYC for less than an arm and leg. My room for the night was $124 with taxes. Served it's purpose and was very close to port. Great price for a room.Genuine Expedia guest review

Me and hubby plan a get away weekend to NYC. We found this hotel and it was an excellent choice. Clean, convenient and great customer service. Aileen and Salim were excellent. "Live condition is terrible"
My family chose this hotel for free parking. The room is very hot, the plug fou electricity is very short, the staff is unfriendly. The living is very uncomfortable. The wifi must pay 6 a night, but very very slowly. I think I will not come back again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very reasonable, especially for new York City ."
Great location. Recommended by friends from our church. Free parking . One female receptionist said we could not check in until 3p.m. The website said 2p.m. check in. We arrived at 1:45 from New Jersey. Another male receptionist gave us our room. He was friendly, she was not-hence, the 4 instead of 5 rating for staff. Large room, 2 double beds, refrigerator, […] microwave, all was great as we thought we would have a tiny room for that price. If you want a good nights sleep, spend a few more dollars and find another hotel. It will be worth it. We stayed two nights, the first night there were people awake and making noise at all hours of the night. A little annoying, but expected for New York. The second night the FIRE ALARM went off every hour between midnight and 6 am. We called the front […] desk and asked why it was going off, and they claimed it was a malfunction that they are working on fixing. When checking out, I asked for some sort of compensation to make up for keeping me up all night, and they were downright rude. No compensation, no apology, hardly any acknowledgement that it was actually an issue. If you are driving into NYC, it IS nice that they have free parking, but i guarantee you will be terribly sleepy on your commute back. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A Quick Trip in NYC"
The Travel Inn Hotel is not a bad place to stay in NYC. The free parking is a plus, though the garage that's available is very tight. The hotel is close to the theatre district and within walking distance of pretty much everything a tourist wants to see. The hotel itself is alright. The room was a bit snug, but it was clean. The one issue I had was […] at night the hotel was very noisy. Not sure if there were rowdy guest in the hotel itself or the location is just close by extremely obnoxious people and/or construction. I heard a lot of banging and what sounded like children running loose in the halls. Oh well. Came home safe and who could ask for more than that. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Would definately recommend! Great for the price!!!"
My daughter and I stayed on a Saturday night during a quick overnight trip to NYC. The staff was very attentive and helpful!! Room was basic but VERY, VERY clean (which is most important to me) even the view from our 7th floor room was nice!! Have I mentioned parking was INCLUDED??? That was a great surprise and budget saver considering it was an improptu […] quick visit. Great location right in midtown, literally a 5 minute walk to Times Square and theaters. "Great location w free parking but noisy morning"
The location of this place is three blocks walk to time square which was excellent. They have free parking which is not common. What can be improved is the loud noise in the morning which are made by the cleaners. They talk loud, they slam doors and cupboard which made the waking in the morning unpleasant. "One of the Best hotels I've stayed at"
I have been to New York City several times. I've stayed at hotels ranging from $100-400 per night. This hotel was amazing and far beyond what it was worth. The staff was helpful and very pleasant. The location is great and because it's half a mile from Times Square there isn't too much foot traffic. The parking lot is attached to the hotel, so my family […] and I didn't have to walk out in the cold to go to the vehicle. The rooms were nicely updated, and since I have a five year old it was very convenient to have mini-fridge and microwave. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely stay there again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was easy to get to, and the parking was a great feature of the stay. The rooms were extremely clean, and it smelled nice. The beds were neat but not very comfortable. Also, the heating was very extreme and we found it difficult to find a consistent temperature. Otherwise, I think this was a great value for the parking and ease of use, however, […] I might prefer a more comfortable stay next time. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I thought it was very good. The only problem to me was the water in the shower wasn't very hot at all. Maybe that wouldn't have bothered me as much if it was the summer, but I was there during one of the cold stretches during the winter, so a nice hot shower would have been nice. Other than that, no real complaints. The only thing I would suggest is […] having coffee makers in the rooms since there isn't any coffee in the hotel itself. I realize there is a deli right next door which is where I went, but than you had to pay for coffee which most hotels/motels provide - whether it be coffee makers in the rooms or at the very least, coffee in the lobby - but it didn't have neither. It was great to have free parking and refrigerators and microwaves in the rooms and the location was great. So overall I had a good experience. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"The Only thing that worked was the parking lot"
The night we checked in, something broke somewhere and the hotel was flooded. The wet vacuum ran all night at extremely loud volumes and the elevators stopped running. Guess how my meeting went the next day? The hotel is shabby and the decor is dated to say the least, furniture has a lot of dings and the view is basically of a construction site at the […] back and a police station in the front. The staff unwelcoming and unapologetic. We basically had to carry our luggage down 5 flights of stairs to the parking. the only thing the front desk could say is "You should have asked us to do it for you", not apologizing for the non working elevators or otherwise. The location is pretty close to time square and if you have a car, going in an out this would work. But this is not the only hotel with parking so pick wisely. I honestly would never go back and will not recommend this shabby broken down hotel , with poor staff to anyone. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed at Travel Inn as we were seeing a couple of plays. The location was convenient for getting out of the city and who can beat free parking. The room was very clean and the staff very helpful. "Great parking and location, just OK rooms."
This was the second time I stayed in The Travel Inn. Definite pros: FREE PARKING and nice location + good price. The hotel is located 2 min away from the Lincoln tunnel, so it is easy to get in & out of Manhattan (if you choose to pay the outrageous toll). There are bus stops and metro stations near by. And I don't think there's anywhere else in Manhattan […] where you get free parking! And the price is quite nice considering the hotel is in Manhattan + the parking. Cons: Rooms are just above highway-side motel grade. I admit that it is adequately clean, but the beds are small and squeaky, with not-so-great pillows. (But the towels were clean, though) The fridge was quite loud so I had to turn it down to a very minimum at night. All in all, if you are looking for a no-frills, non-expensive hotel with parking space, this is a good place to stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Better than what I was expecting"
For the price paid, this hotel is excellent. It's in a perfect location - within walking distance to all the hot spots in Times Square, and being that parking is included, is definitely a plus. "An O.K. Hotel"
I stayed at the Travel Inn for a few days around New Years. The location is great - close to Times Square with a huge assortment of restaurants and stores in the immediate area. My main complaint was with the room. When I looked at their Hotels.com listing, it stated clearly that the rooms have safes. This is important because, like a lot of people, […] I travel with a laptop. The rooms do not have safes. The info in the room said that the hotel is not responsible for valuables left in the room...put them in the safe deposit boxes at the front desk. But I was told my laptop was too big for the boxes and that my room was safe because they use electronic keys. Perhaps so, but my room was "motel-style" - there was a window facing the hallway, making it less secure. The room was not particularly clean and the knobs in the shower were broken, practically hanging off the wall, making it difficult to use. The bed was fairly hard and had 2 small, flat pillows. No extra pillows in the room. The radiator (which looked really old) was off but the room was still uncomfortably warm all the time, despite the frigid temps outside. On the positive side, they do offer free parking, a microwave, small refrigerator and a computer where you can print boarding passes for free. Overall it's an O.K. budget hotel but not particularly pleasant. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stay near by the time square"
I stayed two nights in the Christmas time Dec, 24-26 with my family. The location was really good. It was walking distance to Time Square. The free parking was also good with the hotel rate considering Manhattan's parking situation. We enjoyed our driving during the Christmas season because it was so cold that week. The breakfast is not included but […] just next to the hotel, there is a deli opening early in the morning, so you can have breakfast of your own choice without wasting time to find good breakfast place outside. The only thing we didn't like was that we couldn't see the street view, we had to look at the next building wall only. There are some higher floor rooms that you might find street view. So when you book this hotel, make sure what floor or direction of the room toward if the view is important to you. Overall I enjoyed staying the hotel and recommend it to you. This hotel was perfect for an overnighter. We went for a quick visit to NYC so this was a good location to walk around. We felt safe here. The room was basic but clean.
