We've stayed at the Maile for years and they did a great job, as always. This is the best value in Waikiki and the staff work hard to make your stay pleasant. It's a little old and worn but they're trying VERY hard. And the $200/day you save on the room buys a lot of Hawaiian fun!

Is a 2 star hotel at the most. Old, in need of a remodeling. Room smells, carpet needs to be replaced, bathroom sink is in very poor condition: old, cracked and looks dirty. Floor lobby and corridor dark and cheap. Very dissatisfied that Hotels.com rated it at 3+ it is not.

My reservation shows that the rooms are for 3 but to do that you have to ask for a rollover for $25/nt which makes the room fully occupied space-wise. Everything else was good.

Good no frills hotel with casual atmosphere. Excellent moderate priced on site restaurant with very good breakfasts for under $7. Easy level walk to Waikiki beaches. Pleasant staff.

The hotel is an older one, but maintained and clean. It is within walking distance of a wide variety of restaurants, shops, bus stops, and most important, Wikiki beach. We had a room with a view of the ocean. Considering the location and view, the price was very good.

This hotel is a 44 story building and one of the tallest in the neighborhood. The supply of complementary coffee is only for the first day, no replenishment. The cleaning of room is dreadful; the maid did not clean the coffee maker, berried the TV remote controller under the bed sheets and I coulden't find it when needed. The room I stayed was ocean front but view of the ocean was blurred by uncleaned windows.

Picked this hotel at random on Hotels.com because we needed a one-night stand on our way back home to Ohio from Hilo and I got a good rate. (I actually saved $35 by canceling my original reservation and rebooking because the price dropped, which was odd, but I'm not complaining.) We arrived well before check-in time and Chris was incredibly cheerful […] and welcoming. We were able to store our bags and walk around town while we waited, and they were happy to store our bags again on the other end when we needed to check out 6 hours before our departure. Our deluxe ocean view room was on the 43rd floor and had a great view of both the ocean and the city, but the windows were very scratched, inside and outside, so it was not quite perfect. There was construction on our floor so we had to step over boxes and bubble wrap on our way to the room, and initially it smelled strongly of construction adhesive, but the windows opened and it didn't take long to air out. I'd definitely recommend the Maile Sky Court. It's not right on the beach, but it's a very short walk, and only a block from the canal, which is a pleasant place to walk as well. Chris and the bellhops made our stay by being so helpful and friendly. Read more
