Nice little gem on the end of the strip. Not a bad place for the price, nice pool, decent room, right on the strip, what more could you ask for. Comp'd our resort fee's so trip was greatGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best kept secret in vegas"
We stayed here for my sisters 40th birthday and it was amazing!! At first I was skeptical because the price was decent but the experience from the bell hop who let us check our luggage prior to check in so we could sight see, the wonderful aroma of coconut that hits you as you enter the hotel, the quaint casino with the fabulous waitress Jhonetta you […] rock!, to Lynn at the front desk upgrading us to the paradise tower free of charge it was my best vacation yet ! The pool wasn't overly packed noticed no one in the cabanas maybe they should offer some deal at check in. Only con was the jerky bartender at the pool no customer service skills. Thank you to the hotel maids on the 18th floor I can only remember ones name towanda you guys had us cracking up . Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Spacious and comfortable rooms"
New rooms, super comfortable beds, also quiet so you can get a good night sleep and recover from Vegas. The only big, big downside was the check-in and checkout...we waited probably 30min to check-in. Otherwise everything was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Worth the money"
For the price of a room at a new hotel I got a suite at the Trop. Worth it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It is a beautiful hotel, nicely updated. We were located in to Club Tower, quite a hoof to the main casino.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Slow Responses from staff"
Even though free wi-fi was advertised for our room, we were put on the 3rd. floor and did not have it. It took 20 minutes for a technician to finally admit that the 3rd. floor of the Club Tower does not have wi-fi. Then it took another 40 minutes for the desk to send up keys to a new room on the 5th. floor. Later, it took security 35 minutes to open […] up our room. Even though we had an extension for check-out, all room keys are cancelled at 11:00 AM and we could not enter the room. Almost missed our plane by waiting! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good business trip"
It truly is the NEW Tropicana. Stayed here for a week long trade show and mixed in a lot of fun. Pool area is great, palm trees and swim up bar. Comedy club was so good we went a 2nd night. Also had live boxing onsite during my stay. The Club Suite is a great room. The business center was friendly and convenient. Overall good stay and I will go back […] soon. "June Visit to Tropicana"
I travel to Las Vegas for work several times a month, I pick a different hotel for each visit. My team picked the Tropicana in June there were 9 of us. Each evening upon my return from work/ dinner : I found empty water bottles right where I left them on the counters, no fresh water was left over the 4 night visit, ash trays un emptied, trash bins filled […] and towels that reeked, will not ever recommend this facility nor will I stay here. "Great location for us"
The Trop was right for us, because we flew in to Vegas and then drove on for a family wedding. We had stayed at this property years ago and it was pretty tired. It has been redone and is now quite nice. We stayed in the Paradise Tower.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to downtown and quality of the pool"
It started off with check in being told there were no double bed rooms available in non smoking. we were a group of 4 friends who were not going to sleep in a king bed. she talked to her manager and fixed it. We had no hot water our second day there and no notice. Called the front desk whom said it would be back on in 5 minute ( it was not), the WI […] FI did not work, in fact we got to know other guests at the pool whom were very disappointed also, what exactly do we pay resort fees for??? Only one pool was open, the others were roped off. You should get what you think your paying for based on the website. Very disappointing! I would think twice about staying at the tropicana a second time. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Really Nice Experience"
The Tropicana was really nice for a "mid-level" hotel and casino. My friends and I stayed there thursday night to save a little money and moved to the Bellagio for the rest of the weekend. While the Bellagio was a much fancier hotel, I would be fine staying at the Tropicana the entire time on my next visit. It was clean, bright, recently renovated, […] and in a good location near NY-NY, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, etc. The pool area was really nice with a couple swim-up black jack tables, which was cool. The rooms were clean and comfy and we got a great deal on the room for a thursday night. I would reccommend this hotel to anyone looking for a little more affordable vegas vacation. Internet should be free like any other normal hotel. A refrigerator must be present in rooms. Both of the above were not provided and thus it is a discomfort or hassle.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was very clean and very comfortable. Hotel is located on far end of "The Strip" so there was lots of walking! Beautiful pool, large selection of gaming tables and slots. There were not many food choices inside the hotel, but there were many choices close by.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice being able to get in and out easily, but the hotel is just average. We got a $50 rate and if I had p;aid more I'd have been disappointed.. I think we would have enjoyed our trip more if we'd have paid a bit more and stayed in a nicer hotel. It's not the old Trop you might remember. But it's adequate. Rooms clean, beds just okay, fan in bathroom […] made a zinging noise. It was just okay. Better Hotel for a an extra $45 a night would have been more to my liking.. The first night I was there the guests next to us came into their room parting at 330am and never quit! The first night of our stay was terrible! I understand its Vegas but come on people still need to sleep! The 2nd night was wonderful the beds were fantastic! Or maybe I was just exhausted first first night lolGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The new renovations to the hotel are spot on. Check in was easy and quick with all the information I needed. Great room, on site restaurants were tasty. Overall I'll be back!!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"the price of the room is much higher than listed"
I booked this hotel because of the price. I thought the price was good on budget, but there were some extra money I needed to pay when I arrived to the hotel. The front desk staff were too busy to answer my questions, but they did when they met others.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Rooms are nice...But"
The rooms were in good shape, but had lots of trouble with keys at what was discribed as a newly remodeled facility. No coffee makers in room. As in many casinos in Vegas, the rooms were a long way from the front. Nice room, but question the fourth star.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
With all of the changes I was hoping for more. The rooms are awful. The hotel is still old and not enough improvements have been made. Stay somewhere else.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Vegas Hotel"
We had never been to Las Vegas so had nothing to go on when I booked the Tropicana. We couldn't have been more pleased! The service was amazing, food was fantastic, pool was gorgeous, and the rooms were super clean and spacious. The casino was great and they have theater entertainment. If I called down for something, they were at the door almost before […] I hung up the phone! It is near the end of the strip, but we used the city bus that runs up and down 24/7 and a few taxi trips to get around, so the location turned out to not be a problem at all. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location, plenty to do in the area, very reasonably priced. Only downside was that the rooms didn't have a refrigerator.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The stay was very pleasant. However the in room cable tv service was of poor quality. The pool service was only average. The fitness center was very small. Overall the hotel was very nice. I will probably choose The Tropicana on my next visit to Las Vegas.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"First time in a hotel on the strip in Las Vegas."
We previously had stayed at the Summer Bay Resort a block off the strip. Loved it there, but it has since changed hands to a Holiday Inn timeshare. Was disappointed that they put us, what seemed like, a mile away from the entrance in the convention hall area. Took forever for us to walk in an out of the building (and we are retired in our 60's.) Luggage […] transfer to our room took forever, so on check-out, we all dragged our own luggage (we had two rooms with friends.) No amenities in rooms (coffee maker, internet, etc.) You had to pay an additional charge per night if you wanted internet, so we went without. Were also charged a ridiculous fee per room as a "resort" charge. Hotel.com contacted them and was explained this, but we never saw anything other than the free guest parking. So, will not be visiting Las Vegas again to stay in any hotels if they're all like this. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Found better hotel's at equal cost. Casino was small, in need of a renovation. Room was recently renovated and clean. Staff was attentive, but our room wasn't cleaned until late afternoon, got the impression the attendant had too many rooms to clean. We will try another hotel next visit.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Never again using Hotels.com to book Las Vegas"
Our stay was very pleasant. We enjoyed the relaxed vibe at Tropicana Las Vegas. All the staff we encountered were very polite, friendly, and helpful. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well kept up. However, I am only able to give an overall rating of 3 because the views from the room were not what we had hoped for. I don't fault the Tropicana […] Las Vegas for that. I fault Hotels.com and the types of rooms available in its inventory. We had hoped for a room on a higher floor with city or pool views. We started in a fourth-floor room with a "Mountain View" (actually, a really good view of a rear parking lot). We ended up in a third-floor room with enough of a city view to keep me happy. Tropicana Las Vegas staff was very helpful and as responsive as they could be, given the limited options available. I say I fault Hotels.com because this experience appears to be part of a pattern with Las Vegas rooms we've booked. The last couple of years, we've stayed across the street at the Excalibur, booking the rooms through Hotels.com. A couple of years ago, we had a really great view of an employees' smoking area at the rear of the property. Last year, I believe we were looking at several HVAC units. This year at the Tropicana Las Vegas, the initial parking lot view. While I plan to stay at Tropicana Las Vegas in the future, and will continue to use Hotels.com for reservations in other places, I do not plan to book rooms in Las Vegas through Hotels.com again. "Two short stays at the Tropicana"
Very poor registration on arrival - both times had waits of 20+ minutes due to lack of clerical help. The lines were at least 10 registrants both times constantly. The music was overwhelmingly loud, there was nowhere to escape it even in the small dining area. No lobby where one could hang out without noise. Food options were extremely limited. "DragRace Season 6 Coronation & First Time to Vegas"
The hotel was awesome, all of the front desk staff was very, very nice, helpful & accommodating. However, a guy at the pool bar with a faux-hawk had a rude attitude. Also when we asked for help from the cash-out cage with our Trop Plus player's cards he was not helpful at all, acted like we were bothering him ... there were at least 3 people standing […] back there leaning on the counter chatting away with each other and he said he would have to call someone to come help us rather than just come out himself or send one of the employees right there? Made no sense. Also, I thought it odd that there was no mini-fridge or mini-bar in the room, very rare these days. The hotel location is fabulous! The cleanliness is impeccable (except by the pool) The front desk staff was very warm & welcoming, over all very nice place for the price. I would definitely go back! .. Just maybe add mini-fridges, step-up your room service food quality & take a second look at some of your staff ;) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Had hoped for better"
I was really surprised this hotel was a Hilton. There was even a resort fee on top of the price I had already paid on hotels.com which was disappointing. In addition, the resort fee only paid for the slowest internet speed and they considered discount comedy show tickets to be part of the fee as well. In addition, the line and service at the Beach Club […] where Hilton members were getting their breakfast was insanely slow all three mornings we were there. The staffing was not adequate for the amount of guests who were visiting. We had to wait almost 35 minutes after ordering a not so fresh breakfast sandwich. The conference rooms were nice and equipped and the lunch service for meetings was very well done. The coffee kiosk near the elevators was also very expensive and overpriced for a machine style coffee. There was little to zero coffee flavor and did not compare to the starbucks downstairs. Be aware there is no refrigerator in the rooms unless you wanted to pay an additional fee. Also, no coffee maker or tea in the rooms provided. Limited television channels was also surprising in this type of hotel. The products in the hotel rooms were not very high quality which I am normally used to at many other hilton locations. I appreciated the diamond member lounge and the service there. I think the price for weekdays would steer me towards another hotel in the future. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great hotel at beginning of strip"
I have stayed at this hotel on three different occasions and have never been disappointed. Rooms are very spacious plenty of elevators and a safe location. If you are HiltonHonor members make sure you take advantage of the free breakfast. (They don't tell you about this.) As a Casino, there are not that many tables open but I'm guessing this is based […] on the amount of people staying there. Weeknights are the best for finding space at the tables. Also make sure you sign up for your rewards card. Pool is awesome and the staff is even better. They have a swim up blackjack table. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"not a bad place to stay but for the price ..."
the tropicana is not a bad place to stay. good location, nice south beach feel but just not up to par for a las vegas strip property. "Retro, but pleasant."
If you like the 60s era and the days hearlding the rat pack, you will like this hotel. It is comfortable and on the strip, But it is on the southern end and you will get some excellent exercise walking the strip. The road noise permeated our room, however and was disconcerting at times. The casino area appeard a little crowded and cluttered, but that […] is my observation. This IS NOT a reflection on the hotel, but this experience needs to be told. Bell Shuttle service is crap. They were supposed to pick us up at the hotel (we were 15 minutes early out front) and never showed up, even though we waited 45 minutes before taking a taxi to the airport. So dont prepay. The Tropicana was a nice place to stay but they need more places to get food. The food court is not a food court at all. Pool was great. Our last day our hallway by our room had a awful smell. Not sure what it was but real sour. Enjoyed my stay but would not stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
From the moment our son arrived, I realized I had made the wrong choice for lodging. Checked in with the hotel at noon - and told room would be ready after 3pm, no problem. When he came back at 5:30pm, he was informed that he had been moved to the back tower with a lovely view of a parking lot. Maid service never once darkened his door, even when he […] called to ask if there was an issue. He was treated with disregard throughout his stay, and that is being kind. Please note, this was not only a graduation gift, it was also a very important meeting for him with his new professors at UNLV. No partying, no guests, just a good kid who was traveling alone to get ready for moving on to graduate school. This was supposed to be kind of a big deal for all of his hard work, and he was treated so poorly. Again, how disappointing across the board. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
