Hotel Lyon Métropole & Spa - Lyon 45.78892, 4.8195

Excellent quality, excellent food, excellent cleanliness and superb facilities... one disappointment; our flight was at 9pm and we were not allowed to stay and use the facilities (pool etc), this was the only hotel that we've ever seen this kind of thing. very disapointing, and spoilt an otherwise great stay.

With the spectacular views of the River Saone, this certainly made staying at the Metropole worthwhile. Although situated on the outskirts of the main shopping area, local buses were on time and only a 10 minute journey or 20 mins by foot if you wanted to take in the breathtaking scenery. We found the whole stay at Lyon an extremely pleasant and relaxing event and would certainly return as there is so much to explore and the locals are very helpful and engaging.

This hotel was lovely, the room was really spacious, we were lucky and got a room with a poolside terrace which was beautiful. The swimming pool, whirlpool and spa facilities were fantastic. The parking is free, a real plus in France. The downside is the location as the public bus to Lyon is not frequent especially in the evening and there are no restaurants around the hotel. The food in the hotel is expensive and not worth it, better to eat in Lyon.

Some girlfriends and I chose this hotel for a Spa, shopping and 'going out' weekend. The hotel staff were excellent and the hotel is quite comfortable but outdated. We had quite a number of Spa treatments booked that we all soon cancelled due our consistent dissapointment after our initial appointments. The treatments were all just OK and much quicker than they were listed, and it was without the extras that you come to expect, such as a hand massage when your face mask sets, relaxing music when you are having a scrub or even the staff remembering to come back into the room when your face is being steamed for over 15 minutes! one scrub left one of us with bleeding knees and other areas neglected. If you are a sun and water lover, the pool facilities are excellent.

Hotel lobby was really nice, I was intially booked in on the 4th floor and I was not impressed with the room, very old fashioned. My films did not work on the TV, they said they would get someone to fix it, in the end they moved me to the 2nd floor, this room was lovely, it was like I was at a different hotel. As this hotel is a Spa I think they reserve the best rooms for Spa breaks. Make sure when you book this hotel, that you request one of the new rooms.

la piscine extérieure, le spa, tennis, salle de fitness... vraiment bien. par contre, les chambres mériteraient d'être refaites et ne sont pas dignes d'un 4 étoiles. elles sont propres mais la déco est out. le restaurant en terrasse est très bien et propose des plats sympas à un prix très abordable

l'hotel est tres sympa, calme et un personnel tres agreable. la piscine est tres belle. beaucoup d'espace et de nombreux transats.

la chambre est spacieuse et très agréable au décor moderne. L'hotel est plus ancien mais rénové. les piscines, hamman, sauna et spa sont très agréables et de très bonne facture...

Hôtel remarquable par le niveau des services proposés et la qualité de l'accueil, par ailleurs très bien situé car les dépalcements vers le centre ville s'effectuent sans aucune difficulté.

C'est un trés bon hôtel dans lequel il fait bon vivre. Le confort est excellent, les services sont discrets mais présents. C'est un moment de plaisir et de détente.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécier cet hôtel. Autant par l'accueil du personnel que par sa propreté, ainsi que ses offres au niveau SPA.

Savnet barskap på hotellrommet, men ellers veldig tilfreds med at vinduet kunne åpnes, uten sjenerende trafikkstøy. Hyggelig personale og en "god følelse". Ikke direkte billig og mange taxiregninger i tillegg, grunnet usentral beliggenhet.

I was there with my girlfriend and we really loved it. The hotel was comfortable, one of the best beds I have slept inn. Very friendly and helpful staff. Price was a little over my budget for a long stay but I must say if I could I would have liked to stay there for a week or two just relaxing. The hotel have my warmest recommendations.

Nous avons profité des promotions de cet été et ne l'avons vraiment pas regretté. La partie piscine - salle de musculation - Spa est vraiment magnifique et mérite le voyage. La chambre, bien que très confortable, ne mérite peut-être pas 4 étoiles.

Hotellet ligger kun 10 minutter med buss (like utenfor hotellet) fra sentrum. Service i resepsjoner er ofte litt personavhengig. I vårt tilfelle fikk vi svært god hjelp til å ordne leiebil av en respsjonist med fantastisk service innstilling. Rommene var passe store og praktiske. Vårt vendte ut mot bassenget og var derfor ikke plaget med trafikkstøy, selv med vinduet åpent. Restauranten var bra, like ved bassengkanten. her kommer vi gjerne tilbake.

Très bon accueil, j'ai été séduit par la SPA surtout hydrojets. L'hôtel est très bien entretenu. Rien a dire à part très bien.

petit déjeuner un peu cher. Séjour agréable, personnel à notre écoute. L'hôtel est un peu vieillot, mais le SPA et le parcours hydrojet sont très agréables. Nous y retournerons pour nous détendre

Sehr zu empfehlendes Hotel, schöner Pool und Fitnessbereich. Je nachdem wo man sichin der Stadt aufhält, sollte man einen Mietwagen nehmen.

Hôtel un peu vieillo mais très agréable par ses équipements. Le service restauration n'est pas à la hauteur d'un 4 étoiles. La restauration est très correcte.
