My family has stayed at this hotels numerous of times. This was a disappointing trip. We check in everything was great get to the 5th floor the air does not work in the hallway. Get into the room turn on the TV the volume was loud and could not be turn it down by remote or on the TV. There were not enough towels. I went down stairs to get an extra towel […] but there were no more towels. I also requested someone to look at the TV. They sent someone but all they did was push the volume down hard and it went down some for them but not for us. Later we found out the buttons on the TV was off. I went into the bathroom later to wash up at the sink never got the hot water to come through. By this time, I was tired and just ready to go to bed so I did not complain about it. The next morning was no better as went to breakfast, there was not as nearly enough food, and breakfast did not stop until 9:30. I would not book another Baymont if the experience is the same. Arrived at the hotel and could not get in a room because the manager was not available to overwrite the the handicap room that they had booked me in. I prepaid my reservations online which was non-refundable. The price was reasonable and we had a group block of about 10 rooms. I understand it was Master's weekend and perhaps the staff was overwhelmed but they should have been prepared for the high volume. "Nice enough hotel but not for business travelers"
The hotels fixtures and soft goods are above average and when I arrived was pleased. The location is not good, with no restaurants in the imitate area. It gave me the impress of being in a non-retail business area. However access to the interstate and only one exit from restaurants made this a non-issue for me. The plus side is it is quite. The breakfast […] was the average affair with very unenthusiastic help servicing it so expect it to be missing spoons, out of your favorite cereal, not very clean and with no one around in attendance or when they are they are looking bored and wanting to be somewhere else. From a business standpoint if you use VPN to secure your communication DO NOT stay at this hotel. They have a fire wall that will attach VPN communications and will slow you down to crawl with VPN. I called their tech line and they advised they knew of the issue and would look into it. The next day I called back and asked what they had decided and they advised they decided that because it only affects business customers with VPN it was my issue, the real rub was they did not even bother to call me back with this news. Fairly new hotel near the highway but had to figure out how to get to the hotel from the highway. Lobby was clean and basic. The carpet in the hallways has some stains, which did concern me as I walked to my room. My key didn't work on my first assigned room, after 2nd attempt I was assigned a different room. I booked this hotel sight unseen. The price was very reasonable. The location of the hotel was directly off of the highway and easy to locate, this made it convenient. The staff at checkin were attentive and quick to assist. Though, once we got to our first room, we immediately were overwhelmed by the smell of cigarette smoke. It was so bad that I called […] downstairs and asked for a non-smoking room, to which they told me that they didn't have any. They did immediately offer to change us to another room, which we did. We did not experience the same odor in the second room; though, you could tell that there was something wrong with the door, as it seemed very loose. I think this just spoke to the condition of the hotel. There were small wear and tear issues, but nothing that caused me concern. We stayed the two nights and the room was quite comfortable. The rooms were cleaned the next day before our return, which is always nice. They offered a morning breakfast complete with eggs, sausage, cereals, juices, milk, and waffles. This was nice. "First and last stay there ever."
When we first arrived to the hotel everything was fine. The problems didn't start until the morning after our check-in. When room service arrived we were still in the bed so at the time we told her nevermind. About 20 mins later while she was still on the floor we asked her could she come back just to change our sheets (since she didn't have to clean […] our room initially she should've been ahead of schedule). Her response was "If I have time I will" we even told her it was ok to just leave the sheets and we would change them. So upon arriving back to the room later the night we saw the sheets weren't changed nor were there any clean sheets left. I figure since we are PAYING guest she could have atleast left some clean sheets (We had no problem changing them ourselves). The next morning before check-out there was a roach crawling on the ceiling of our room and when I brought it to the manager's attention his response was "Oh".
