We stayed for the weekend to visit different museums and just have a girls weekend. I honestly expected mediocre due to the price but I was wrong. This was actually really great. "Nice hotel but too noisy"
Hotel was very clean and nice. Room was beautiful and bed was super comfortable! The staff was very friendly. Our only complaint was that we had a room near the elevator and it was very noisy. This hotel was in a great location. The only problem was waking up Saturday morning and the hot breakfast was not prepared. We were told it would be ready at 6:30 but wasn't ready until 8. The hotel itself was clean and fine. The cleaning products they use to clean and freshen the hotel smell very odd and strong, and I didn't like walking around because of it. The smell seemed mostly confined to the lobby, which wouldn't be an issue except that is where they serve the complimentary breakfast. As for the breakfast, it ran the gamut between […] OK and awful. The OK things were ready-made things like cereal, toast, etc. Their "cooked" items we pretty awful--the "omelette" and "bacon" looked and tasted very unappetizing. I would avoid everything that most likely was heated up in a bag, which was everything savory. The complimentary coffee they offer varied in temperature throughout the day. Of the 5 days I was there, only once was the coffee actually hot--every other day it was lukewarm at best. The room was clean and comfortable. The King bed was good, but for some reason we got 4 throw size pillows, instead of regular ones, which is odd. They were comfortable nonetheless but not really enough. Our room was cleaned and towels replaced regularly. All in all the hotel was fine. It's nice enough, nothing special--clearly budget. The location alone was worth the stay, but avoid the breakfast like the plague. Drive 5 minutes up the road to Barnaby's cafe instead. LASTLY, parking costs $9 per day.
