With a 7 am flight out, we decided to try the website since the title was "park and stay" hotels. The cost for Days Inn was the best with parking for up to a week. So we booked it. However once we checked in, the Days Inn informed us we did not book for parking and were charged extra for that. I felt the website was misleading and since I couldnt produce […] a receipt that included parking, we had to pay. We would never have stayed at this hotel if it wasnt for the parking and shuttle, and the shuttle was very timely and we have nothing bad to say about the hotel desk clerk, who was helpful. We wanted an inexpensive hotel right next to the airport. This one couldn't be closer, and it was well priced. It was a comfortable room with limited amenities, as we expected it to be for the price. Only bad thing... We were by the stairs. Discount rooms always get that I guess. Great thing...the staff gave us the same rate for an extra night and we stayed in our room. Too good! Was in Detroit for a funeral so obviously hotel arrangemetns were made at the last minute. The hotel was conveniently located but, that's about it. The was not very clean! This is the first time I stayed at Days Inn, Detroit Metro Airport. Jessica was at the front desk when I checked in and whe was very pleasant and helpful. We made arrangements for parking for our car and the airport tranportation was on time. the only reason for stay was because of cancelled flight due to weather. it beat sleeping on the airport floor needed a room for the night that had a free shuttle back and forth from airport and didn't cost an arm and a leg. it served its purpose well

I think that some maintenance and up grades needed to be done to the rooms, my rooms entrance door was separating from the panel, the bathroom needed a DEEP CLEAN, or possibly some changes to already "patched" work

It was convenient-good location to access the airport easily. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was not the cleanest I have seen. It was cold in the room with the heat off,and to furnace was too noisy with the heat on. We had to take "short naps" inbetween the heater being shut off & the room getting too cold.

This "truck" stop hotel is not a 3 star hotel as stated. There was one girl at the front desk and four guest waiting to check in. The hotel is older and outdated. I was attracted to this hotel by its cheap price, location near the airport, and parking accommodation. I stayed one night to catch an early flightt. Unfortunately, the hotel added charges which made the rate higher than booking directly. They indicated that my car would be stored in a secure lot . However, it was not moved from the open and unsupervised […] parking lot off a busy road for the entire 6 days of my trip. I tried to get reimbursement for the parking charge, since they did not deliver on the contract, but have only gotten the run-around. The front desk staft when I check in (I was early 11:00 am ) got on there walkie talkie and there was a room ready, so they were good enough to check me in with no hassel as check in at 3:00 PM. But other wise the room was nice. The desk guy when checking out was nice and i was checking out real early 4:00 AM and I told him I had to return the rental car. He told me the rental car office wasn't open until 6:30 AM to take it 2 doors down same side of Days Inn called USA Parking and they turn the car back in when they opened , so that saved time for I could get shuttle to the airport on site. The physical hotel was good -- room was comfortable & clean. Free wi-fi & airport shuttle that ran on time. My one complaint was with the service provided by the overnight front desk staff. the gentleman was a little rude and a bit condescending toward the guests. I didn't care for his attitude. By upgrading the room decor, a inexpensive hotel has become a desirable place to stay. The fluffy comforters are lovely. Design of linens was very elegant. This pushes the room beyond strictly utilitarian to enjoyable. Granted, no in-room whirlpool or fancy bathroom, but still very nice.

The staff was quite nice and accomodating. Stayed there two nights - before my flight out and on my return. Left my car there. Was concerned about the safety of my car, but it was okay on my return. First room had very small bathroom - had to wedge myself between the toilet and the vanity in order to close the door!
