The room we booked through Hotels .com was great. We booked an additional night after we checked in through the hotel. Not so nice. We paid an additional $20.00 plus tax etc. and the room was in the unrenovated section about 1/4 the size of the room we booked through Hotels.com.

We very much found the location to be ideal, being close enough to all the fun attractions of the French Quarter while also being far enough away from the craziness of Bourbon St. While the hotel atmosphere was very cozy and had a true New Orleans feel to it, the staff was rude and unpleasant. This hotel is within walking distance to everything. They are renovating and we were lucky enough to stay in one of the new rooms and it was amazing! Very big room with a huge balcony. The staff is very friendly. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to New Orleans.

We stayed at the hotel for Super Bowl. It was under construction, and one complaint is it was sorta hard to get luggage there. But after that it was awesome. my overall stay at this hotel was acceptable.this is a pretty plain hotel you get what you pay for. There is a coffee shop attach to this hotel.restaurants shopping and Bourbon Street or very close by. The room we were given was nothing like the pictures indicated on the website. Our deluxe room looked more like a cheap roach motel. Don't advertise what you can't deliver. When I was booking online, I read numerous reviews of how it wasn't your typical Marriot, Holiday Inn, etc. This is a very old building and they are undergoing what seems to be a lot of renovation. When I arrived, I was tired and stressed about my lost wallet. The room was charming and simple (exactly what I like in a hotel room). My girlfriend was to arrive two days later and I wanted her to be comfortable as well. After laying out my things, I saw that the place was extremely dusty. Everything that was not within arms reach had not been dusted in weeks or more. This was true of the light fixtures (blatantly obvious when turned on), the blinds, the air conditioner, the bathroom mirror and the air vent in the bathroom. I left a note with the front desk to have them go over those things for when I returned from dinner. The task was not completed till the next day and some items had not been taken care of. I cleaned one light fixture and gave it to the front desk just so they could see exactly what had been the issue. The next morning it was pristine. Read more

Hotel is in a great location but is getting extremely run down. Water ran constantly in the bathtub. I reported it the first day to maintenance and they did nothing. Carpet was filthy with a hole in the hallway, paneling was falling off the closet interior. Bathroom door opened only halfway as it stuck on the floor. Hotel was very quaint with old French Quarter charm. Great location and our room was on the back side of the hotel, so fairly quiet. Room was small, but clean with all the basic amenities you need. Only real complaint is that the mattress was horrible...but if you drink enough Hurricanes and Hand Grenades, then you don't really notice!

Located on the outer edge of the French Quarter, this hotel is in a great location, out of the crazy noise, but within walking distance of everything. It's an old, quaint building with lots of brick. Had stayed here before just after Katrina. Most places were still closed then, but everything was open and swinging this trip. Crescent City microbrewery has great small jazz combo and rib dinner was wonderful. They even let me order 1/2 order since I was alone. Try their beer, too.

While there was no free parking, as there never is in New Orleans, there is pay parking located right across the street. The rooms was small but rustic and had a lot of charm.
