Nine day stay. Staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. Excellent buffet breakfast. Shuttle van to Spanish Steps. Great Restaurants within 10 minute walk from hotel.

The highest level of service, close to many famous areas such as Villa Borghese, Piazza Del Popolo, Piazza di Spagna. One of the only hotels that has an outdoor pool in Rome. Very convenient shuttle to Piazza Di Spagna.

We had a great time at the Aldrovandi villa Borghese. The staff is fantastic, the rooms are nice and their buffet breakfast is great and is served in a beautiful setting. The icing on the cake is the fantastic pool out back which we enjoyed with our kids. They could use to re-carpet the hallways/rooms but everything else was great. This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in worldwide - and we have stayed in a lot of good hotels! It is calm and cool and beautiful to look at, the staff speak many languages and are always willing to make your stay comfortable. Our room overlooked a quiet street full of embassies, upscale apartments and parks. We could hear the peacocks' cries […] from the nearby Biopark, which added to the feeling that we were far from the madding crowd of downtown Rome. At the same time, it was a 10-minute walk through the Villa Borghese Park to the Piazza del Popolo where there is fabulous shopping. (And if you don't fancy walking, the hotel van/limo will take you down to the Spanish Steps. It leaves every half hour and you have to book it a few minutes in advance.) There were restaurants nearby in the up-market Parioli neighborhood - we had a very good pizza there on Saturday night! All in all, a fantastic stay and we will use the Aldrovandi again. Read more

I was not impressed with Aldrovandi hotel. It started with my checkin where they excited me about my lovely room and view. When I got to the room I found out it overlooked a parking lot. I asked to be moved and they told me my reservation didn't state anything about views. I was also not impressed with housekeeping. They didn't clean my shower for 3 […] days. I know this because the clump of hair from my first shower remained there the entire stay. The internet is free but you have to request new codes every 24 hours for each device you want to use. Stay at the Westin or St. Regis if you have the choice. The service van broke down while we were there so they were not able to bring us to the central area of Rome as promised. Read more

it was a little dissapointing to come to the room which was not ready, but after a third try , we finaly had a room ready for accupation. But not so fast... No slipers, only one bathrobe and leaking showerhead. After 10 min on the phone without connection to reception? We had no other complains during next three days/ SO it is really dissapointing that small things are overlooked as it killing good impression. This is a very elegant hotel with superb service. It is located in a beautiful area, not very far from the "Spanish Steps". The Breakfast buffet was beyond anything we could have imagined, including champagne, in a beautiful "garden room" setting. Very Romantic get away!

a couple things to be aware of. The hotel is not close to eateries/shops so you will have a decent walk or taxi/shuttle to get to places. This hotel was absolutely lovely, especially considering what we paid for it. The rooms are cleaned twice a day, ALL of the staff is incredibly nice and helpful and the common areas are beautiful. We had a breakfast buffet included and it was amazing!! My only complaints are a) the pool is shaded for the majority of the day, b) they do have a shuttle […] to and from the Spanish steps every 1/2 hour which saves a 25 minute walk, but it only holds 7 people and sometimes is full, c) little things like an iron or a cup of tea are VERY expensive. The hotel attempts but fails miserably to counteract distance from the city center. But they only transport 8 people per half hour to onnly one place(Spanish steps). They do not start this service til 10Am making it near impossible for us(5people in 3 rooms). They do not attempt to add a second transport when overbooked even the night before. They also […] stop service for return at 10:45pm.This is completely out of line with the fact that people dine and stay out late especially in this city.. Taxi service is expensive especially since the vast majority of cabs take max of 4 people even with young adults. The drivers of this service are quite courteous. With all the service people at the hotel, I think it would be easy for them to add additional transport as needed. This cheapo approach nullifies all the especially nice aspects of the hotel. Very nice hotel in a quiet area of Rome. The service is of the highest quality as you would expect from a 5 star hotel. But this hotel is really a exceptional because of its beautiful pool that makes you feel like you are in an oasis in the middle of busy Rome, very quiet with trees around and a restaurant by the pool. It was such a pleasure to relax […] by the pool after visiting Rome in summer, they even let us enjoy it after its "official closure", until dark. Our room had a view on the garden and pool and was quiet with a comfortable bed. Wifi was free, we just had to ask for a code at the reception, this is a good surprise for a 5 star hotel that usually charge ridiculous prices for internet. The only minor drawbacks are that rooms are small (difficult to find a space for 2 suitcases) and you need a taxi to go to any touristic place in Rome (they have a free shuttle to Plaza de Espagna every 30min but in the end we took the taxi since it was really not expensive). If we were to go to Rome again we would definitely stay at this hotel. The rooms were outstanding. The breakfast was excellent. You need to arrange to take the shuttle bus to the Spanish Steps . The bus runs every half hour. You can also take a public bus or a tram which runs frequently. It is right outside of the hotel. The pool and garden were,great, […] but the pool isnot heated so it is better in the hot days of summer. We were there in September, so it was a little cold. The Borghese Gardens are right across the street and you can walk around there all day. It is a very quiet area in Rome, which can be a very noisy city in certain areas. I donot recommend renting a car, although the hotel does have ampole parking. Driving in Rome is very challenging. Read more

Only downside is that bar and food prices are very expensive- however drinks at the bar do come with lots of snacks and there is free water at the pool side. Overall good hotel but will not stay again as it is way too far out and not conveniently located to suit needs. Also the shuttle service offered is restrictive due to the need to constantly pre plan and book seats for the deop off and pick up service - it is not frequent enough to satisfy the demand of all guests.

Don't expect anything in a hurry - from checkin to bar service the hotel definitely works on Italian time. But the wait is generally worth it. Having a pool and great service to counteract the hustle and bustle of the city is fantastic. The shuttle bus is ideal - drops you right at the Spanish steps and goes on into the late evening. Double check if you ask for late checkout or other services that they have been arranged. The concierge will arrange airport pickup and charge to your room and of course give restaurant recommendations - but remember the onsite restaurant is high class - so their idea of 'inexpensive family style' may not match yours - better to ask a taxi driver! Excellent friendly service. Convenient for the meeting I was attending at the Auditorium - I could walk there in about 20 minutes. Also right on the Villa Borghese so could get to the Metro and most sights easily. The pool was awesome - could come back at the end of the working day and sit by the pool.

Spacious room, excellent service from all the staff who provided us with tips whenever needed, excellent breakfast with fresh products. We really appreciated the shuttle going from and to the Spanish steps every 30 minutes.
