My 10-year-old son and I loved this hotel! Well-decorated and inviting, I wished we could have spent more time here. We were just minutes from the beach to rent bikes and enjoy the waterfront. You are able to text for the valet to bring up your car which I loved... so convenient!

We violated our hotel spend rule; which is to not stay in an expensive place unless we will have time to really enjoy it. This place was great, but too expensive to bunk up late and leave early which is what our plans required. Beautiful area.

This location has a lovely outdoor seating area with water feature, firelight, etc. rooms are very clean, ask for marina view with balcony.

The valet service was excellent; they were prompt and friendly. The cost of this service for one night was thirty bucks. The service at the front desk, too, was well above average. The lobby was nice. However, the room, while clean, was not really any better than that of a Motel 6. At more than three hundred per night, you must be paying for the view […] and the proximity to the beach. If I could rewind time, I would have saved the cash and gone elsewhere, maybe even paying 50% less for a room blocks away on the beach. Read more

pleasant and large room with an ocean view. my room was very quiet. overall a pleasant experience. I will use them again for my yearly dinner at Joe's restaurant in Venice. I also highly recommend Joe's restaurant.

Very nice accomoadations. Parking is the only negative, but that's LA. You can park across the street in the public lot for $10/day or pay hourly if you don't want to use the expensive hotel valet.

It was ok. Room clean. Nothing special. I've stayed in motels as nice. You have no choice but to use the valet parking when you pull up. That was an extra $28 per day. Bed was nice and comfortable. Wi-Fi was extra through some company. I didn't use it.

Horrible experience in the bar area after a wedding we attended. The bartenders servered a friend of ours drinks And right after charging us for those drinks had security throw him out. Of course he was able to make a few extra bucks by serving him drinks(shots). The head of security then came over after we questioned why he had even served him drinks […] in the first place and proceeded to be the biggest jerk I've ever met almost getting in a fist fight with my husband. Talk about customer service...I'll never go to this hotel again! Disgusting! We then asked the manager if we could file a compliant and was given the run around. What a joke! Either Expedia or the hotel botched the reservation, as instead of the two double beds that I had reserved for my wife and myself and our children, we were originally given a room with one king bed. The hotel staff was quick to make the change to a room that suited us. Much appreciated.

The ventilation ducts in our room, which was an upgrade and had a beautiful view of the marina, were so dirty that when I adjusted the vents the dust released flew into my face and into my throat. I coughed incisively through the next morning.

Late checkin: bad welcome and extra beb put in a twin room instead of the room for three expected.No room service or snack after midnight... no fridge or courtasy tray in the room. Room needs updating.Hopfully for checkout a professional desk manager very hepfull .

I have not been a frequent traveller in the past, but as an empty-nester, I'll be travelling much more. The on site parking, valet only, to me was rather expensive. I was directed to the municipal lot across the street which had a 24hr rate that was reasonable.Also interenet service in the room would have added considerably to my stay so I opted out. […] To me, I think those items should be included with a stay. It is my pet peeve to feel like I get a good deal and then get nickel and dimed on fees. Just tell me what it costs and I'll take it or leave it, but don't get me with add ons. We just stayed here over the past weekend and were very very happy with our stay. We were able to walk to the beach from the hotel. It was maybe a 15 walk or so - not bad. We enjoyed having a drink in the main lobby as it was very comfortable. Our teenage girls enjoyed using the pool. And the drive to LAX was very, very easy. It took three triys before I found a room acceptable. The first room doubled as a conference room, the second was next to he elevator mechanical room and the third was fine. The guest room furnishings are worn and need to be replaced.

At check-in the hotel rep lost my driver's license but later found it and returned it to me. Hotel rep then put me in a room with 1 bed instead of the 2 I had reserved. They corrected this as well. The hotel lobby is nice. The rooms are small the hallways and rooms could use updating. The restaurant Stone is very good for dinner. Our bill without alcohol […] was $280 for 4 people. I don't think the lack of atmosphere and casualness meets the pricey bill. The nightclub Glow is outdoors so be prepared for that. It was empty and nothing really going on. They had a New Year's Eve party and it was packed that night. Music thumped until 2 a.m. and I had an early flight but it was New Years and that is to be expected. View of the city from our room was pretty although I had reqeusted a water view. On our first morning at about 8 a.m. we heard a very loud power tool noise. It sounded like a sander. It was very loud and woke us up. We left the room about an hour later and it was still going on. It was so loud you couldn't even talk over it. Valet and Front Desk reps were very friendly and helpful. Front Desk and Concierge were helpful with restaurants. Valet asked if we needed any directions. Overall good location. Close to Santa Monica, Hollywood, Bevery Hills, and LA. It was a clean hotel! I love Marriott because the beds/pillows are so comfortable! I wish the room would have had a refrigerator and a microwave and been a little bigger and included an extra chair but you get what you pay for. Read more

I have stayed here over a a dozen times in the last two years. Location is fantastic, all nice views, beach and dining walking distance. Great outdoor pool with huge hot tub. Great for at night hookup with special person. Lounge is extremely pleasant and hip without being pretentious. Food is good. Staff are very friendly and helpful and fast.

Nice stay, good location if you don't want to be near the main action of LA but close to the airport. You don't feel so much like a tourist here as you are surrounded by a nice neighborhood with lots of little restaurants and bars. Very nice staff, rooms are nice and clean. Located across street from the marina and can rent bikes next door and cruise about 6 blocks to the beach and down the pier. Valet parking only at hotel was only inconvenience.

I spent a long weekend with my teen daughter and younger son. The staff was extremely helpful and treated us wonderful. The location of the hotel is only 8 walking minutes from a beach and is safe. I will come back and book this hotel again and again.
