"Good location"
The first room I was given was on the main floor. Room was good but up in the ceiling was a vent open to the pipes above for the other rooms sinks and toilets. It made rushing water noise all day and night. It even sounded like there was a leak, dripping water. I called the front desk and requested to be moved. The trainee at the front desk was very courteous, kind and helpful and found another room for me. Right across the street is the Gloucester Station.

"Very nice location"
I've never before stayed in this part of London, but was looking for something on this side of town to help me get to know a new area. The hotel is right across the street from the Gloucester Road tube stop, which makes it very convenient. The hotel is, like many in this area, a bunch of townhomes that have been consolidated to form one larger property. Due to that, there are lots of tight hallways, stairs and quirky corners which may be a problem if someone in the group has mobility issues. (Also you must climb three tall stairs to enter the hotel, and it didn't seem to have an accessible entrance.) Our room curtains were broken, meaning that we couldn't completely close them, and our bathroom was always incredibly hot. That being said, I would still consider staying there again, as the proximity to the Tube, a Waitrose & Boots, made for a convenient location.

"Best Western Cromwell"
As stated rooms are small but no smaller than most you'd find in NYC. It was very nice. Best part is the tube is literally just across the street. Perfect location to everything!! My parents had a great air conditioner in their room. Unfortunately ours didn't work at all. They came up to take a look but agreed it didn't work and offered a fan instead. Not the same as air conditioning at all! All rooms were full so that was the only solution. The staff were somewhat helpful but seemed more annoyed at times than anything. I would absolutely stay here again.

"EXCELLENT END TO A GREAT TRIP"
After touring, visiting friends, shopping and a quick trip to Paris, this hotel was an excellent place to wind down and prepare for the flight home. The room was small, but adequate in size, quiet and comfortable, best we encontered on the trip. The service was outstanding. The location was great, restaurants closeby (within one block), both upscale and family stye. Shopping was in the same distance range. We were surprised when on Sunday the big cycling race came directly past the hotel and we had front row seats. We will definitely begin our stay there next time we go to London.

"Great room for vacation"
The room was great. Pillows were fluffy feather pillows and very comfortable. I really appreciated the coffee, giant coffee mugs, and coffee accessories. We even got little jam cookies with coffee in our room. Bathroom was a good size, although the room itself was a little small, but for the price, you won't find anything bigger in London. It was just fine for sleeping. We were on vacation so we didn't spend much time in the room anyway. Overall a great place to stay on vacation for the price range. The tube station was literally around the corner. Perfect!!

"Great location"
I stayed at the Best Western Cromwell earlier this month. We requested a room with two single beds as I was traveling with my sister. Our room was in the basement, which wasn't ideal but also was not the huge issue that I thought it would be. Our window provided plenty of light, and noise wasn't an issue at night. The cleaning crew took great care of our room and provided everything we needed. The best part of this hotel is its location. It is perfectly located in Kensington, so you can walk to Kensington Palace/Hyde Park, the Natural History Museum, the V&A museum, as well as great access to the Gloucester Road tube station. There are lots of food options around the neighborhood. There are also two tour bus companies that stop right in front of the Gloucester Road station that provided a great tour for your money.

"Hotel location is the high spot, not the room size"
Very small quarters for two people, trying to move about. No drawer space for clothes. We couldn't unpack. We understand that rooms are generally small in Europe, but this was ridiculous for the price. We did request an upgrade at time of reservation. I can't imagine what we would have gotten if we didn't. We probably will try another hotel in London.

"Close to Everything"
Our stay made getting around London easy. You are right across the street from a major Underground station that will take you wherever you go (if you are going to be more than a couple days make sure to invest in an Oyster Card--much easier than paper tickets). Between the Underground and nearby bus stops, you can get to all the major attractions within 15-20 minutes. In addition, many of the tours pick up within a block or two and dropped us off right in front of the hotel. My only complaint was that the rooms were stuffy and the air conditioning unit VERY noisy when it was on. Good value for the cost (we got a deal of only about $200 per night American) considering other hotels in the area can run over $500 per night.

"Good Value; Great Location"
Had an eight night stay in mid-June. Comfortable and accommodating. Rooms are a bit small and no restaurant, but plenty nearby. The price was really right and we slept well despite being right on busy Cromwell Road. No problem. Probably wouldn't be realistic for a family with kids as the rooms didn't leave much space. We squeezed in and it worked perfectly for us, but we didn't spend time in the room but to get ready to go out and to sleep. Nice modern bathroom with big walk-in shower. One chair, small table and a stool. It worked.

"Good value in the heart of London"
It was tough to find a well rated hotel in London for less than $250/night. The Best Western Cromwell hotel foot the bill. Though the room was small, and in the basement, it was clean and comfortable. The shower was great; large, good water pressure, and consistent temperature (something that's we didn't find on the rest of our 2 week trip). The staff was friendly, and helped up find an airport transport after our car cancelled on us at 3am. It's not the most glamorous hotel room we've had, but it was a great value, especially in London.

"Steps from the Tube"
The hotel was located in an older building - so the lift was small and older too. The room itself was clean and larger than I expected for London. The bathroom had a rain shower and then a hose. You can only work one at a time - which was annoying because the rain shower didn't really wash off soap and holding the hose was tough when rinsing off. Overall, the bathroom was nice but just wished that the shower was sorted better. The room was comfy with lots of outlets for charging our devices - especially near the bed which made setting alarms on our phones easy. The location couldn't be better, being close to Kensington Gardens, Tube stops on the Piccadilly/Circle and District Lines and lots of great restaurants. Really happy with the experience here and would highly recommend to anyone needing an affordable hotel in London.

"Rooms need work"
Bathrooms: Towels looked and felt like 20 year old towels. Face clothes: Why aren't face clothes provided? Toiletries: No body lotion, mini shoe shiner, cotton facial rounds, q-tips, which were standard at my 3* hotel in Paris. We did always have a shower cap, which was silly. The multi-tasking in-bath tube, does not constitute toiletries. Lighting: room lighting terrible, we could hardly find things. Curtains: the inner curtains are filthy with city street soot. Mini Fridge/bar: why not have this available? Iron: ? TV: Where was the channel guide? Trash: trash liners so thin and cheap that you couldn't touch them without them ripping. Finally: I was expecting better for 4*. I will not book this hotel again.

"Great place to stay for single travelers or couple"
This hotel is in a great location. A few shorts yards from Gloucester Road stop on the Piccadilly line for the tube. There is a pharmacy and a grocery store across the street. And it is just far enough out of the crazy part of London to be a place to relax after a hard day of trudging through London. It is also a short walk from the Albert & Victoria Museum. The room I stayed in was small, but functioned well for me as a single traveler. Had a double bed which is very rare for single traveler rooms. Bathroom was good size and everything functioned great. Staff were courteous and helpful. Everyday there was a breakfast available, full or contential, which was nice. However, there is a Starbucks and a Paul (fabulous pastry place) across from tube station which great to get some quick breakfast stuff. All in all this is a excellent option and I will stay there again.

"Everything was great except the internet."
I have to say that this hotel is a great one if you are staying in London. The location is perfect. You are a block away from amazing museums and the Glouster tube station. The rooms are good size, clean and up to date. My only issue was that the internet was horrible. I could check my e-mail at times but that was all. I talked to the hotel staff and they suggested that I sit in the lobby where the connection was better. They were helpful but for me it was a problem.

"Great Location and Easy Access to Many Things"
The hotel was just a few blocks from the History Museum, Art Museum, and further down was Harrods. Plenty of restaurants and pubs in the area and the Tube was 2 minutes from the front door on Gloucester St. A bus stop is right out the front door as well. There was a grocery store right across the street as well as one just down the street. We would hop on the tube in the morning and go to some location in London and eventually either make our way back walking or take the tube back. Very convenient. The Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Room was a bit small but other than sleeping and getting ready in the am, we were never in it much. Wifi was spotty on our cell phones from the room, but not our computers for some reason. We felt it was a Reasonable price for the rooms - no surprises. And to be able to take the Tube to and fro Heathrow was a bargain (3 pounds each way). Get an Oyster Card and put a chunk of money on it - you can cash it out when leaving at the airport.

"Good location, but. . ."
The staff did what was necessary - no more. The room was very small. Having been to London many times, I don't expect 'spacious' but the room was so small my grandson and I had to leave to change our minds. It was very clean and I appreciate that more than a large room (how much room do you need to sleep?). My biggest complaint was the breakfast as it was inedible. The hot food was cold and the cold food was warm. I mentioned it to the desk staff but nothing was done. We then had breakfast elsewhere for the remainder of our stay. Location is good - near the Gloucester Road tube. Wouldn't stay there again.

"Reasonable price for a convenient location"
My wife and I were pleased with the fact that the hotel was across from the Gloucester Road Tube station. This made getting around the city convenient. The staff members were friendly and accommodating, providing a bucket and ice for our take away beer, fixing a malfunctioning thermostat, and printing out tour tickets and boarding passes at the reception desk. There were two great Indian restaurants within walking distance as well. American travelers will feel cramped by the room size...suck it up and deal with it. The bathrooms are a good size. Our only complaint was that there was no hot water for three of the ten showers we took.

Location was beyond excellent with bus stop 1 foot away from front entrance and gloucester station just across the street. Also hop on hop off bus in eye sight fron main entrance. Souvenir shops bakeries and 24 hour diners on every corner. Very clean and trendy neighborhood and a french bakery (patisserie) called PAUL which is a must for breakfast. its also right in front of hotel. Currency exchange burger king and kfc and lots of other restaurants in plain sight just by this best western. Rooms were very clean and perfect size the hotel and bathrooms lobby and hallways very well kept and updated very modern looking hotel on the inside and very safe. 24 hour receptionist which were very helpful, polite and friendly. Luggage storage (free) and breakfast is also available for small charge and free very strong signal internet just ask the front desk for passcode. From heathrow do not pay 20 pounds to use the heathrow express. Just take the picadilly from terminal 1 2 3 or 5 and its 16 stops to gloucester station which is smaller and very easy to use. If i knew that this hotel was situated in such a great neighborhood and for the price i wouldve stayed a few extra nights. Will def be back.

"great location!"
This hotel is in a fantastic location for visitors to London. It is right off the Gloucester Tube stop (1 block away).....easy underground trips to Piccadilly, Leister Square, Covent Garden, Westminster........a lot of the tourist destinations! It is in a nice clean/safe area. Easily accessible to a grocery store (cheaper food if you are interested in saving a few bucks on some of your meals).....The location is FANTASTIC and the staff were very nice (very helpful with arranging cars and helping you find where to go and which stops to get off at for visiting places)......The room was small (as is every room in England) and bathroom was tiny but it served the purpose very well as we were constantly out and about during our time there. Nothing posh or lavish about this hotel....but a generally nice hotel/facility. The Wi-Fi stinks and goes in and out constantly so be flexible and don't plan on using it a lot. Overall my wife and I were VERY PLEASED with the stay and the accommodations!
