      My husband and I stayed in a preferred room at the Now Sapphire for 10 nights in Feb. and wished we had booked a longer trip. The resort was beautiful, the food was good, and the people were friendly. We had dinner in all the restaurants except the Cibu although breakfast there was god. Our favorite was the Lemongrass both the regular menu and Hibatchi. If you buy a bottle of wine, you can sit at an outside table at the Lemongrass or Paramour. The water landscaping around these restaurants as well as the main resort area is beautiful. . Puerto Morelos is a little remote but with plenty of entertainment if that's what you like. We had an oceanfront room on the first floor with two double beds. We had asked for a king room but none were available for a couple days so the two double beds were put together and that worked out well. We elected to stay where we were since we loved the room location. We enjoyed the bali beds at the adults only pool. Much more comfortable than ones we've tried in the past. We usually like to spend more time at the beach but we had a few windy days and it was a little chilly so we moved to the pool which was more protected from the wind. I would only suggest a couple improvements. Air conditioning in the gym; It was very hot although I was content with the equipment. The other thing that would have been nice is the availability of food at the beach and pool areas so you don't have to go into a restaurant.

      This is a very nice airport hotel. Convenient, friendly helpful staff, comfortable rooms, lovely grounds and pool. With 2 small kids, it made our travel day so much easier to have spent the night before at the airport. We usually try not to support Marriott ... but this is the only hotel we'd consider within a few minutes of the Cancun airport.

      The hotel is on its own little island with a wood plank bridge as its access. It gives the facility a solitude but is extremely accessible to Hidalgo Street, the heart of town. the beds are a bit hard but would definiely stay again.

      The hotel overall was great. I had adjoining rooms and the one with the king bed was fine. I can see how some one may complain about the one with the double beds since there is no room in between the two. It wasn't an issue for me. I didnt spend that much time in the room. Food was good. A little bland but nothing a little salt can't fix. I had to ask for towels but when I did they were prompt about it and no questions asked. The stay was enjoyable and relaxing. Be open minded and flexible and you won't be disappointed.

      Best: 1) Location - in downtown near lots of great bars & restaurants and across the street from the beach on the north end of the island, and 2) Romi, the bartender. Worst: Very hard beds (at least in the new building), and I usually sleep on a futon on a wooden frame. Not a 5-star resort & doesn't promise to be. Instead, you get a casual atmosphere to just kick back & relax.

    Positioned within shopping, restaurant and entertainment areas, ME Cancún - Complete ME All Inclusive is located 12 kilometers from downtown Cancun, Mexico. The Robert Trent Jones Pok-ta-Pok Golf Course is four-and-one-half kilometers from the property, and the El Rey ruins offer glimpses into Mayan past, five kilometers away.

    Hotel Features.
    Mexican/Mediterranean gourmet cuisine is offered at Salt. The Water Grill serves South American cuisine in an oceanfront setting. Silk bistro presents Asian cuisine such as sushi and teppanyaki. ME Cancún - Complete ME All Inclusive also features four different bars. A business center, wireless Internet access and function space that totals 2,890 square meters accommodate guests' needs. Me by Melia Cancun All Inclusive offers a 11,000 square-foot, world-class 24-hour spa facility. The treatments range from massages, facials, body treatments and steam baths. The spa houses a hydro-massage pool, relaxation center, sauna and Life Fitness Gym. A dedicated Experience Manager ensures that the guests' stay is stress and effort free. The hotel features an outdoor pool with water rituals, an infinity pool, a nine-hole golf course and two tennis courts. Lessons in spinning, yoga, Pilates and Tae Bo are also offered.

    The hotel's 435 air-conditioned guestrooms and 29 Loft Suites are decorated with modern furnishings.     My boyfriend & I wanted to get away for some sun. Our stay was from a Fri-Tues.The food was great for an all-inclusive and the ambience/setting of each... restaurant was wonderful. We loved their Rose Bar which was open late on the weekend with good music and a dancing scene! The rooms were trendy, clean, and quite amazing. The infinity pool was awesome, the beach was awesome, and we had perfect weather! My only complaints.. First off, the drinks at the pool bars were terrible. Whatever 'mixes' they are using taste awful. We drank beer & tequila most of the trip, but I ended up finding two drinks that tasted okay by the end. Second, the hotel doesn't provide enough beach chairs for all of the guests. When asked for more, they said they didn't have any more. I think that is completely unacceptable! So the chairs there are, other guests lay towels on them all day every day even when they arn't there so they can 'save' it. Not fair, and the hotel staff isn't monitoring that and pulling towels off after a few hours. We took matters into our own hands by the second day because of it. Also, we really wanted to get a Bali bed by the pool on the 1st day, paying the $40 charge, and they were completely booked out all weekend until Monday so that was disappointing.     My boyfriend & I wanted to get away for some sun. Our stay was from a Fri-Tues.The food was great for an all-inclusive and the ambience/setting of each restaurant was wonderful. We loved their Rose Bar which was open late on the weekend with good music and a dancing scene! The rooms were trendy, clean, and quite amazing. The infinity pool was awesome, […] the beach was awesome, and we had perfect weather! My only complaints.. First off, the drinks at the pool bars were terrible. Whatever 'mixes' they are using taste awful. We drank beer & tequila most of the trip, but I ended up finding two drinks that tasted okay by the end. Second, the hotel doesn't provide enough beach chairs for all of the guests. When asked for more, they said they didn't have any more. I think that is completely unacceptable! So the chairs there are, other guests lay towels on them all day every day even when they arn't there so they can 'save' it. Not fair, and the hotel staff isn't monitoring that and pulling towels off after a few hours. We took matters into our own hands by the second day because of it. Also, we really wanted to get a Bali bed by the pool on the 1st day, paying the $40 charge, and they were completely booked out all weekend until Monday so that was disappointing. The staff was AMAZING, the rooms were spotless and the food was delicious! There were NO hidden fees and walked away with zero additional dollars on my checkout bill. We […] ordered every kind of drink you could think of, from chocolate martinis to champagne and gin and tonics none of which was extra. I was also worried about signing a bill for every service. ALSO not a problem at all! We tipped literally a few dollars in the mornings and received EXCELLENT beachside drink/food service all day long. The staff don't linger and EXPECT a tip but are very grateful for them. We didn't even feel the need to get a bali bed which was initially the plan due to all the comments of lack of chairs and poor service etc. We were up every AM for breakfast and saved a couple of chairs at 7:30AM and there were plenty to go around.     I stayed this past week with a group of 16 people. Mind you, everyone I was with was extremely over generous when it came to tipping the employees. We felt as if we were being taken advantage by the lack of service each day. After the first day there is no doubt in my mind that we tipped at least $300-400 to our waiter alone! The following day we asked […] to be seated at a bed/cabanna near the pool/beach and we were told we must buy a bottle in order to sit there. Not only is this supposed to be an all inclusive, but the bottles cost around 200$ minimum and we had 16 people so that means we needed at least 3 beds! An employee even made a comment to a friend of mine stating that he "has" the money so what is he concerned for. As a group trying to have a fun vacation, we brushed it off our shoulders and continued to cater to their unappreciative demeanour. After a few hours the pool began to fill up and we noticed we were the ONLY table that had bottles. Needless to say we were suckered. Regarding service at restaurants, the waiters were very polite & food was decent. There was an EXTREME lack of food when it came to lunch/breakfast and snacks. Also, they lacked in any form of entertainment especially on the days it rained. Also, upon check in, we asked to be roomed near eachother and yet we were told the hotel was packed. The all inclusive was a little different than we experienced with other hotels, as they had you sign the ticket each time, but it was clearly marked "NO CHARGE" on the ticket.     I have mixed emotions over our current stay, the hotel is very nice and is well kept and very modern. The food was better than average by Mexican standards, and the service was consistent with the slower pace of Mexico. This is billed as an adults only resort, this is not the case as there were many children. We didn't care but if you were expecting […] an all adult experience you will be disappointed. The main pool is nice but very cold, you will also not be able to get a chair if you refuse to get up at 6:30AM in the morning and put a towel on a chair. There is however plenty of seating for pay which is frustrating. The worst part was that nobody ever sat at those chairs at the pool, I don't know where they were. The same goes for the only pool that faced the ocean, a beautiful infinity pool with less than 2 chairs for open seating, and almost all of the beds/lounges held hostage for an additional fee. There was no bar open in the day inside the hotel, you would have to go outside to the pool bar, wait in line and then bring it inside. They really need an inside bar/club that is open during the day for those who wan't to get out of the sun. The nightclub on weekends is open to the public, once again there is no seating in the bar unless you want to pay for a lounge or sofa by purchasing bottle service. This is my 7th trip to cancun and I think you will do better at other resorts from a customer experience standpoint. Read more

    This was our first experience with an all inclusive resort, and it was a little confusing. We didn't realize that gratuity was included until a few days in. You must sign the reciepts for your food and beverages that have the pricing for everything plus lines for tip and new total. Careful...we did notice that once we did not tip the service was extremely […] slow or non-existant. Also, check your bill at checkout because some servers added their own gratuity. As far as the food, it was mediocre with the exception of the breakfast buffet and SILK restaurant which was exceptional. Keep in mind that you have to make reservations for dinner every night and there is a dress code for men at some. The hotel was very clean, great decor, and our room was very nice. They are very strict about locking all valuables in your safe, if anything is left out security locks you out of the room and housekeeping does not clean. The front desk then notifies security to let you back in. The pool and beach are great, but you must save chairs before breakfast with towels or else you are out of luck! The staff was very accomodating, but there were a few that pretend to not speak english to avoid helping you. Also, stay clear of the tours...they are super cheesy, take all day, and you don't get breakfast! So be prepared to be underwhelmed and hungry half the day! Read more

    The hotel is very modern and clean. Lots of variation between younger and older crowds. The bar closes at 1 am, so that was disappointing. The service was GOD AWEFUL. I would never go back again because of that. My boyfriend and I stayed here for 10 days. They actually would not let him in the restaurant because he was wearing shorts. The "rules" say […] no sleeveless and no shorts. Well low and behold after changing and finally going in to eat, we see a man in a short sleeve shirt. Unreal. It takes an hour and a half, sometimes longer to eat a meal...except breakfast which is buffet style. So don't make your reservation when you are hungry. We learned to go at 6 and expect to eat around 7. Many other people we talked to were absolutely disgusted with the treatment they got as well. We had so many problems throughout our stay and all they could do is say sorry and that was all. Room service is 5$ charge unless you stay in the more expensive rooms. All inclusive apparently does not include that. For the money you spend at this place I expected the service to be a little more decent. The worst part of it all is they print out checks for every drink/meal/whatever you buy so you can see what you would have paid...which by the way is ridiculously priced...i.e. $53 USD for buffet breakfast...I dont know why they do it, most likely so you will tip them based on that. Luckily the food is good and the service while dining is a positive at Salt and Silk. When eating at the beachhouse, request to sit at Miguel's section. Water was pouring from the ceiling onto the bed. Also avoid room 123, the bathroom reaked of a foul dead animal odor. Fifth floor and above is ok. This is not a hip hotel, as described. Save yourself the disappointment and head to another hotel like the Hard Rock or Live Aqua, or if you are a Melia member, then go to the Gran Melia instead, its a jaw dropper. Avoid this hotel, I thought the bad reviews from other people were just one off's when I booked it......man was I wrong!! Sadly for what we payed, we could have stayed at another hotel with a balcony room and much better service. You know a hotel is bad when you only stay there to sleep and you head to the other hotels down the strip to enjoy their amenities instead. Avoid this hotel so you can enjoy your vacation.     The hotel was very clean but we got tired of the "nickel and diming you to death". You had to pay extra for beds by the pool which honestly were not even very clean. Extra for certain amenities that should have been included in an all inclusive such as the coffee bar. The beach was great and the beach staff was always very friendly and helpful.     This was, by far, THE best hotel I've ever stayed at. The service, the scenery, the pools, the beach, and the food were impeccable. I will say the hotel room was not very sound proof and we had several issues with the electronics working i.e. tv, iPod dock. But it almost didn't matter. We were hardly ever in our room and when we were we managed to listen […] to music and not even care.     - there was only one option for lunch on weekdays I.e. beachhouse cafe, which I think for all inclusive is less...same menu everyday, with only 1 vegetarian entree option - you need to make reservations for dinner, given its all inclusive and most people are on vacation, they need to have couple of good buffet options. - no buffet, except breakfast, […] so if u you want to eat little French fries, you need to check in a restaurant ( there is only one option during day and you can make reservation in only one of 4 restaurants in the night) wait for waiter to bring order and sign the check at the end. You end up spending 1 hr for a light bite also. - cocktails are truly watery..so stick to beer and hard liquor - used resort credits for airport transfer, which was very good. - mall nearby, so added bonus. - hotel staff was helpful - room was clean, quality aveda products in bathroom. - not recommended, if you have a vegetarian family member travelling with you. - highly recommend coffee in all the restaurants.
