The internet connection was terrible slow to the point of been a dial up. For $3 more per day I stayed at the Hilton Garden in Miramar, just a couple of miles SE of this hotel. Much nicer room and service there. This location of the Grand Palms is great but the hotel is old and needs improvement. An OK stay if you do not mind a slow internet.

This is an older establishment but it was really nice. There were fountains and sculptures around the grounds. Breakfast was ok at best but it filled you up. Sparkles the bar tender was very nice... The Valet parking guys were very friendly and helpful. Internet service sucked but that is about the only negative...

Hotel is 35 years old, and it looks like it. Old interior, old bathrooms, and an old smell in my room (leaving the door open all day didn't change a thing - the smell stays). Hotel is dated but comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and responsive to any need we had. It was a pleasant stay. They are renovating and our room had some updates.

Staff welcoming and very helpful. Whole place looks a bit tired, but comfortable. Downside was no food or drink available after 9 pm. Not helpful for late arrivals after 10 hour flight from UK!

This was a very convenient location for me and the service was good. The owners need to invest some money for rennovation, however. Room carpets not clean, hair on the bathroom floor, pool needs serious tile work, etc.

This is a horrible hotel and I would recomend that you stay away from it, specially if you have children.

This hotel is in need up updating badly. It has long sinced worn out its effectiveness in attracting the business clientele it may once have.

I found the resort relaxing and located to alot of things in the area. My suite was a near the pool was comfortable and clean

Grand Palms might have been great in its day, but it sorely needs a complete facelift. The rooms are old and musty smelling, my shower leaked all night, dead bugs in the room, and an A/C that barely kept the room cool. I'd rate it at the upper end of cheap motels, not worth the price.

Just off I-75 on Pines Blvd. Nice area with lots of great restaurants and shopping in the immediate vicinity. Pembroke Lakes Mall in just a few miles East. Very convenient to just about anything you need.

Overall a nice hotel. The following conditions should be corrected: - Bell boy service, ramp or elevator to bring heavy bags to second floor level. - Carpet near air conditioner was always wet - Continental Bkfst needs improvement

you can stay here for a reasonable price. the area seems very safe, with anything you may need not too far from here. some of the rooms could use a facelift (bathrooms esp.) but are always tidy. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The facilities look good. The only problem is that our stay was until early on Saturday. On Friday nights they have a "Bahama's Night" at the location. The front of the hotel lobby is packed with people and cars even though it was 4:00 in the morning. It was quite a hassle to just drive off the property. Did not smell well, dirty musty smell. The try to rep like it is a Spa/Resort. It is more designed for a couple of guys that want to shack up in a chaep room during a golfing weekend.

This place is an exercise in deferred maintenance. The only reason to stay here is proximity to other business / family. Rooms are musty, I got bit by something in bed, they couldn't be bothered to replace Styrofoam cups when doing room service, I didn't get a bath mat during one room service, and I had to replace the printer ink cartridges before I […] could print my boarding pass in the business center. Had a wonderful experience. I happened to check in on Friday which coincided with the First Friday's Party that they have at the hotel. It was wonderful and the people were super friendly. Larry at the front desk was especially helpful. I would recommend this hotel and will more than likely stay there again.

I have no serious problems with the hotel. It was ok for a 2 night stay. My only complaint was the ac in the room. Even at 60 it was still hot. It was not cool at all. Pretty decent area. But for the price I find it to be a little too much for the quality.

I thought for the money the hotel room was very good. The staff was very helpful and accomodating.

Hotel location and grounds are very nice. Close to where I had to be but thats about the only good attributes this hotel offers Was supposed to be there for 6 nights but after the second night and 3 very large uninvited bugs it was time to check out. Had to move rooms twice, once on the day of check in because the AC was not working properly. Second […] time was when i stepped on this large brown bug in the bathroom, killing him and then met his cousin in the bedroom. They moved me to suite but told me it wasnt ready till later in the day. When i moved in there it smelled from bug spray and could not take to odor. Not Bad. A Golf Course trying to be a resort. Remember, its in Florida. Cock Roaches in the room are the norm here. Hotel management didn't care when I brought it up. Only claiming that they sprayed for them a few days earlier,

We stayed here for just one night, and would have loved to stay longer. Our room had a beautiful view of the golf course. It was very quiet (off season) and felt very safe. Great for a romantic getaway.

I did not come here to play golf, but rather to care for an ill parent. I also had to do work, and chose this place because of location and its advertised wireless Internet service. The wireless signal was almost non-existent. All the first night's front desk person could do was say: "All I know is the wireless password. I can't help." The next day, […] a front desk person gave me an Ethernet over powerline adapter to use, and acknowledged they had problems. However, the problem was not just with connectivity to their router, but with connectivity to the net itself. I changed out DNS servers, etc., but to no avail. Connectivity was only in bursts of 30 seconds to a minute, followed by 10-15 minutes of inability to reach any web site, do an nslookup, ping a known pingable IP address, traceroute, etc. So basically I was out of luck for the entire week as far as getting any work done. At checkout, the front desk person acknowledged they had problems with the Internet. This place should not be advertised as having Internet. Anyone depending on it will be out of luck. Other than that, the rooms are spartan, but clean. I have a pretty sensitive olfactory sense, and I would not put clean clothes in any of the drawers because of a mildew scent -- this may not have been offensive to most people, and it is a fact of life in a humid climate. I think the mildew smell was exacerbated by the cleaning staff's habit of turning off the room's AC, so the rooms themselves become humid. Also, when it's 102 degrees and 99% humidity outside, and you come in from a thunderstorm, finding that your room is 80 degrees and very humid is not fun. This hotel is dated, but it was wonderful for my family of four and me for 8 nights. We stayed in a spacious two room suite with a (not super comfy) sofa bed overlooking the great pool. Our rate was great from hotels.com. It included a nice breakfast - eggs, french toast, Belgian waffles, cereal, juices, coffee. I had read the reviews and was glad we had a good experience. I get the sense that this was a swank place in 1985 and now it is an adequate accommodation. Adequate was great for me. We weren't looking for a full service marriott-style resort. Though the guys played golf, The kids loved the pool. We had a nice fridge, minibar sink, microwave. It was perfect for the price. i enjoyed my stay so much when i return i will be staying again.it was quiet and clean and the front desk staff were very polite and very helpful.staying @ grand palms was wonderful.

The Room Service was Fast .. but the Food was below the standards of a Greasy Spoon... the Pool was Filthy and the Deck Chairs were too dirty to sit on .. was not anywhere near a 3 star hotel .. Needs lots of work/upgrades. I wouldn't call it a "resort" Disappointed. Tiki bar next to the pool only open on weekends. I was there Tues - Thurs. so no poolside drinks for me. Wanted a late dinner, but restaurant closed at 9pm. They offer room service, but it's not 24/7. Closed at 9pm. What "resort" closes it kitchen and room service at 9pm?! Front […] desk was helpful. Needed to change rooms. The first room was on the first floor, back side of the building and smelled like mildew. New room was ok. On the 2nd floor which made me and my 12year old daughter feel a little safer. But, no elevator, so we had to lug our bags up the stairs to the room. Had back surgery in Oct. so this was no fun.
