They had a good breakfast but nothing too fancy. The bed wasn't comfortable. Lots of parking. Can't turn into the hotel from the right side of the road.Genuine Expedia guest review
The room was nothing like I expected! I had to ask for pillows and towels as there were none in my room, the sheets were stained, carpet was stained and sticky and I couldn't even take my shoes off, the bathtub was clogged so mid shower I had to turn off the water to let it drain, only 1 light in the main room worked, the coffee pot in my room wouldn't […] turn on either. There were burns in the carpet including one that was about 6 inches across. Needless to say I wouldn't recommend this hotel, the price was great so lesson learned you get exactly what you pay for. "Suited our needs"
This hotel suited our needs. It wasn't the fanciest place but it was clean. We were bothered by a luggage cart that semi-blocked the stairway. Most days our room was well-kept. One day the housekeeping did not replace any towels or washcloths or leave replacement soap but the rest of our stay was nice. The neighborhood looked a little shady, but we […] had no trouble. "Cheap and Easy"
I paid half a c-note per night through hotels dot com. The light rail station is close so you can easily get downtown and the airport. SD tv. Fridge and microwave worked fine. Lights very dim and clock radio didn't work. Toilet ran every 10 minutes. I just closed the valve at night. Heater pumped out too much heat at lowest setting to keep room comfortable. […] It was in the upper 30s at night. You get what you pay for. I would rebook for just passing through, but not for a week business stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Economical - not fancy"
Recent stay at Salt Lake City Econo Lodge was adequate - not fancy. Room was quiet and comfortable, even if a bit worn. Lights and TV worked. Coffee service missed one day, but otherwise OK. Access to downtown was good.Genuine Expedia guest review
"rooms not ready at 4:30 pm"
showed up at 4:30 p.m. sent us to a dirty room without the beds made, asked the lady cleaning the room if she was going to be done soon she grunted and walked away. Went back to the lobby and they sent us to a second dirty room again without the beds made... Finally got a room on the third try.Genuine Expedia guest review
"You get what you pay for..."
It was an okay hotel. Out drain in bath tub and sink were having trouble draining. Also our fridge and AC weren't the best. But other then that it was a decent hotel. Great bed, fast internt, great staff, great food in the mornings.Genuine Expedia guest review
"No place to stay"
Place is a dump. door failed to lock and close properly , rug dirty, bed like a board, staff would not hardly look at you and the last night no maid service.Genuine Expedia guest review
"OK room, good price"
They advertise free wifi- but the Internet was so slow it kept disconnecting and would not work. The breakfast was a just bagels and toast pretty much and juice. The room was fine to sleep in but I have had better for the same price!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Pay the extra money."
No customer service, rough neighborhood, neglected and really dirty.Genuine Expedia guest review
"worst hotel i've stayed at in over 20 years"
filthy room, awful carpets, noisy heating, sketchy hot water, no toiletries or toilet paper on arrival, overall, totally nasty experienceGenuine Expedia guest review
"This place is gross"
Had to find a room under $200 for Outdoor Retailer. This room was nasty at any price. Long black hairs everywhere and the carpet hadn't been changed in decades. Very drafty room with outdated features. A basic super 8 room looks luxury compared to this. The shower leaked all over the floor and was badly engineered. Sloppy painting and construction.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Run down. Overpriced for the film festival.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, not as skeezy as it appears"
I was pleasantly surprised with the overall cleanliness of the hotel. For $45/night, I was concerned it would be really gross. It was older, and in need of remodel, but the sheets were fresh and clean, and everything seemed to be wiped down regularly. This hotel is right next to a Tram stop, and across the street from The Red Iguana, an awesome mexican […] restaurant that is reason enough to visit SLC. The location was perfect for seeing a concert downtown. The staff wasn't anything to rave about, but they were competent in their jobs and responded promptly to requests. If you're looking for a reasonable place to stay, this is a good hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"You boys like Mexico???"
Overall location was decent...that was the only thing decent about this place. The room wasn't clean, the shower didn't drain, and there was a giant crack under the door that let in the freezing winter air. No bueno.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Good overall. The only issue was having to ask housekeeping for new towels when we were in the room during their rotation. If we were in the room, they sometimes just skipped it completely. But they always promptly accommodated us. They did always leave them if they came to clean when we were out. The location was nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Better than expected for cheapest rate in SLC!"
Great bed for my bad back, housekeeping great!Genuine Expedia guest review
I started my experience by standing at the check in counter without being acknowledged by the employees standing there for 3 or 4 minutes. Not even a "hello." My room needed repair. The lock bar on the door was dangling by only one screw. The main lamp operated by the entry switch was unplugged and did not have a bulb. I had to use the light on my cell […] phone to enter the room and find another light. The room was freezing when I arrived and it took at least an hour to warm up. The ceiling vent in the bathroom was so loud that I didn't use it. It sounded more like a lawn mower. The shower drain was slow so I found myself standing in 4" of water during my shower. The shower curtain was torn and not suitable for its application. At least a gallon of water ended up on the bathroom floor in spite of my constant attention to positioning the curtain. The only good thing about the room was that it was quiet. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not a hotel I would stay in again"
Shower did not get hot the non-smoking room Had a horrible smoke odor. The carpets had lots if spots and stains on them and all of the furniture and stuff seemed like it was straight out if the junk yard. Also the room that I book was not the one that I got at first, I booked a standard non smoking king and when we checked in they gave us a double queen […] room. "Keep on Going"
Very disappointing experience while there and the lack of professional quality response from employees on site as well as from the general manager via phone ( I had to initiate as no response came from note left) several days after stay. I was not informed that there was no hot water upon check- in, hence, NO HOT nor lukewarm shower. I was told a variety […] of answers when I called several times to ask about hot water. " It will come on soon." "Power outage." "Plumber is working on it." "It should be on now" (response given at 10:30 pm). It was considered "an unfortunate experience." I couldn't sleep due to the fighting that took place in the room above mine. The people also were working on the toilet at 1 am in the room above me. The fighting and plumbing problems continued until 3:30 am. The first room I was given, upon walking in I found that the ceiling had given away due to a broken water pipe with a waterfall flowing. That was interesting. The next room was worn out. The bathroom ice cold. The heat did work...kinda...you had to get up to turn it off to let the room cool down and then get up to get the heat to work again. It is an older motel. Which I knew upon walking into the lobby. I didn't expect a high end hotel. Just a comfortable bed, clean room, a hot shower and quiet. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Salt Lake Christmas Shopping Trip"
Excellent Location, close to downtown. Beds were cozy and it was a good deal for the cheap price. We loved it was within walking distance of the best restaurant Red Iguana! On the downside the bathroom area was freezing. It felt like we were using the outhouse so we kept our socks on everytime we went in that area. Also the weather stripping on the […] doors is gone so when it snowed we could feel the cold in our room which we placed a towel to try to keep the heat in (We stayed two nights in two different rooms and this was still an issue). We couldn't find the ice machine and when we did it wasn't working. All in all, if all you're looking for is a place to rest this wasn't too bad. You pay for what you get and I'd probably stay again. "Needs a renovation and better house keeping!"
We stayed one night! Looks old, smells weird, and there was soap left in the shower from the last people that stayed in there. Front desk workers are nice. Won't stay there again though.Genuine Expedia guest review
I got room 119. I was great full for the early check -in, but was bum out to find my Shower/bath didn't even turn on. I didn't report it until I left that night. I only need the room for about 11 hours. The wifi in the room went out half way before hand and didn't even come back on. But over all I will stay again if I have to.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel room was awful. Had a small hole in the wall, and when reported it got shrugged off. Dust everywhere, and toilet ran all night long.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"This is not the place to be"
When I showed up, exhausted from a 12 hour drive, I figured I would try to save some money since I was only staying in SLC for one night. This place is a mess! The tenants seem to live there and have their own community. Smoke from the balcony poured down to my room, and they were very loud. When I checked in I was grateful they gave me early check-in, […] however when I walked into my room there were food containers from whoever was there before, the bed was unmade, the room smelled, and there was garbage all over outside. I spent the extra money and stayed at the Red Lion downtown. Easy lesson on "you get what you pay for". Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Bottom of the barrel"
Standard motel, grimy but not filthy. Much farther from the highway and airport than other options similarly priced. The worst front desk agent (morning shift) I have ever encountered in my years on the road. Upon approaching the desk to check out, I found it empty, but heard conversation in a room behind it. "Hello?!" ... "I'm checking out!" ... […] Silence. To get the agent to do his job, I had to call the hotel from my cell phone WHILE STANDING AT THE DESK. Nice. I had called when I made my booking (only a day prior) to confirm the free airport shuttle's availability and schedule, which was a deciding factor in my staying there. When I mentioned this to the desk agent at checkout, I was told that the shuttles were "down," but that his friend was driving, and would be here in 10 minutes. He was just leaving West Jordan, which is 20 minutes away. No, I don't to wait 20 minutes for a car, nor do I want your little punk buddy to go twice the speed limit with me in the car. I still feel that this place owes me the cab fare I ended up needing. Had I known I'd be taking a cab, I would've chosen a place closer to the airport. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"You get what you pay for"
Our room and bathroom were not very clean. The shower was kind of gross. And there was constant noise from the street outside and bumping on the walls every time someone outside shut their door or moved around. It was noisy. "Not the best option"
This is an older hotel, there was a space in the carpet between the bathroom tile floor. A carpet tack or something sharp poked my kids feet several times while trying to step over the carpet gap. "You dont always get what you pay for"
I feel that the room charge was more than what the hotel delivered. The rooms had a horrible smell and outdated appliances. One of the two outlets did not work. I stayed one night here. The staff was nice and it was no problem getting my reservation that I'd made online 45 minutes prior to arriving at the motel.
