Holiday Inn Rockford - Rockford

This was a very last-minute stay for us. We enjoyed visiting the bar (friendly staff and clients!) and the room was one of the quietest of any hotel we've stayed in. I would definitely recommend this hotel when staying in Rockford.

First room I was sent into had an air conditioner that didnt work, second room the shower handle wouldnt stay in position so it would go very hot or very cold without warning. The other hotels in the area are nicer for the same price.

The room was comfortable. I was disgusted when I went to shower because I noticed hair on the tile in the shower that was left from the previous people that was not cleaned by house keeping. Our room was wonderful - difficult to regulate the heat but after a few hours we got the hang of it. The hotel itself was a bit worn and outdated. They seem to be investing in the rooms, which is what counted. We never made it to the pool or hot tub, so not sure what that was like. was a nice hotel, booked a sweet that was basically connected rooms made into one room. was on the first floor but was little noisy outside as the parking lot and entrance was right outside the window. could hear people talking as they were outside smoking

The bed was SUPER comfortable, the rooms were clean, but small. The phones in the room were not working (a generator issue I was told) and hadn't been for several days so if we needed something, we had to go to the front desk or walk down to the bar for food. Everything in my room was damp - the air, carpeting, sheets, etc. Although the air conditioner cooled the air, it did not remove the humidity. This merely turned the room into cold and damp. This made it unacceptably uncomfortable to the point that I would not stay there again.

Clean room with a very comfortable bed. HD wide Television, no DVD player. Fridge and microwave comes in handy for left overs. Staff was very friendly and responsive. My daughter had a basketball tournament in Belvidere so I looked on Hotels.com for a hotel. After reading the reviews for the Holiday Inn and the Baymont Inn we went with the Holiday Inn. One of the reviews someone complained about the remote for the TV not working, the air conditioning not working and a strange odor in the room, I thought what are […] the chances we would get that room, well guess what we did. The remote didn't work, the air conditioning broke in the morning but it did work itself out after I turned it off for 20 minutes..The worst was how the room smelled. We had two other families with us and their rooms didn't smell like mine. Must be that specific room. It's a nice hotel to stay with, environment is in safe location & in the center of the city. The only comment I have is the elevator carpet it looks like dirty, they may need to consider replacing it with other type of floor finish to make it look clean.

I had items shipped ahead of me, and the hotel staff was very kind and helpful, in assisting me with additional requests. The room was clean, roomy, and comfortable, with a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Hotel is close to a mall and many other shopping destinations. Will definitely stay here again.

Our room was wonderful and we were pleasantly surprised to be able to check in 2 hours early. The matress and the pillows were very confortable and I would like to know the brand of each as I would like to purchase them. Hotel staff where very friendly. My only complaint is that the trash was not empltied enough during our scrapbooking time and overflowed […] to the floor. Even after a call to houskeeping or maintenance was made the trash was still not removed and the next day it was still present. I actually emptied them myself so we could continue to work. We had not stayed at this motel for over 20 years. It was much better than it has ever been in the past. The people workign there were very pleasant and helpful. All the first impressions were quality and comfort. Most other motel/hotels are single stories so being on 7th floor was expectations of lesser quality.
