      My husband and I stayed for one night and everyone who worked there was extremely helpful and kind. The accommodations were older, but very clean with a lot of charm. Free parking and a short walk from downtown. A great view of the ocean since it is up on the hill.

      The Hotel L'Augeval was a great central location to see the surrounding areas in Normandy, from the D-Day beaches to the various lovely seaside towns. It was set back from the hubbub, but not so far you couldn't walk to whatever you wanted. The architecture is charming, an example of the whole 19th century half-timbered LARGE houses, but was modernized with all expected conveniences. Many reviews seem confused as to whether thety have a restaurant. The do. You can have breakfast on the premises, and other food is available, although we didn't try it.

      Excellent find at the last minute before panic. We came for the night and stayed for three. Downside: very little English spoken and without eye contact or warmth.

    We had hoped to book closer to the train station, but booking problems brought us here instead. Perhaps it was all timing, but we seemed to be hunting... for food as many places were closing. I was disappointed not to find a patisserie open on our walks.     I was told it was 8 miles away from Deauville, which is where ideally I wanted to be but it was booked up. In fact it was actually 70km away, took me an hour to get back and cost me 160 Euros in a taxi.

    Le service de bar n'a semblé ni très professionnel ni trop concerné par l'état de propreté des tables. Au restaurant, il nous a semblé mal venu de nettoyer les tables avec un spray alors que de nombreuses personnes dînaient encore à proximité. Il suffisait de patienter un peu pour commencer cette opération!
