Morgans is the hotel that changed all the rules. From the moment it opened its doors on Madison Avenue, it startled the world with a convention-shattering attitude and distinctive design sensibility. Located in the ultra-chic duplex Penthouse, complimentary Continental breakfast is located on two floors separated by a dramatic spiral staircase.There are two terraces with stunning views of Manhattan.

Serene, minimalist rooms have premium bedding. Photographs on the walls are original signed works by Robert Mapplethorpe, commissioned by Morgans in 1985 and considered priceless today.

While the signage is only the street address, once you find this hidden gem, you will fall in love. Nice sized room. Smaller bathroom w/ shower only but met my needs. Penthouse with continental breakfast has amazing views. Even if you don't partake in bkft, check out the space!

I have stayed at Morgan's on a regular basis for 20 years - it remains one of my favorite hotels for its combination of comfort and value. And I'm excited at the prospects of the new restaurant under development. If Morgan's has a flaw, it is that some rooms get little sunlight.

From the moment I walked through the front door, I was greeted like an old and very welcomed friend. The staff were extremely helpful and arranged for me to check in quite early. I was always addressed by my name for the rest of the stay! In the morning, the continental breakfast was a groaning board filled with treats. I loved Morgans. The rooms are much larger than most hotel rooms in the city. It was comfortable and quiet as well as in the middle of a great part of the city. I would definitely stay here again as well as recommend it to others traveling to NYC.

Overall I loved the stay at Morgans! Fancy hotel conveniently located near major attraction areas. The continental breakfast is plentiful and always refreshed. I would like to only point out the minor things that I felt could have been improved. I would like to point out that this is my first stay at a boutique hotel in NYC and I have recently come […] from a country where hotel cleanliness is at a near OCD level! So my opinion may be a little biased. The shower could have been a bit cleaner. There were some calcium stains on the hanging shower head and there was a small dead fly in the tub. Also, the popular gray wall with build in dresser could use some revamping. It clearly shows the wear and tear of use. The paint in the bathroom (whether intentional or not) clearly wasn't completely professionally painted. I felt it clashed with the rest of the well designed room. My mom and I did a girls overnight in NYC and this hotel surpassed every one of our expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly and pleasant. They were incredibly helpful also. Our room was a decent size of two twin beds. Everything was comfortable and clean! They had a penthouse suite that was open to all guests. In the mornings, they also featured a continental breakfast, which consisted of a plethora of pastries, bagels, and cereal. The baked items looked straight from a bakery. The staff was quite gracious and our room was clean and inviting. The bed was comfortable. They allowed us to check in early so we could see our matinee show at 3:00. We had a nice continental breakfast in the morning in the penthouse. I would definitely stay there again. Most enjoyable.
