We stayed here the day before our cruise. And we absolutely loved it! For the money we got more than we thought. It had a fabulous hot tub and we did all our shopping and beauty stuff all before the cruise. We ate at the steakhouse Primo when we first got there and loved it! However at the seafood restaraunt. We went to Miami for a short weekend getaway, and wanted to stay somewhere near, but not on, South beach. This was a very clean and comfortable stay, that was about a $15 cab ride to South Beach. I was pleasently surprised when we showed up here. From the comments left on the page I expected much less. My only issues were that I wasnt aware that they only had vallet parking which was fine bc we were able to park on the street around the corner and save 15$. Another problem was that when we checked in, I also wasnt aware that there was a $50 […] deposit for each night. We got it back but I wish they wouldve been more clear. Other than that it was great! We were so close to the Miami port that we could see it from the pool area and were able to walk to the Publix down the street. Beautiful location on the water. I would visit this hotel again! I like your hotel. Concierge and front office staff was very courteous. The room was nice and clean. But the balcony needs painting and the roof looking down from our room on the seventh floor needs to be cleaned. But I love this hotel and will definitely return.... Room was clean, but the distance we had to walk to get to the room was uncomfortable. Hotel is full of amenities and only a short distance from the Port of Miami. The fresh chocolate chip cookies at checkin were a plus also.

Disappointed. Room was hot, AC not working well, had to move to another room. Also a big stain on carpet in 1st room. Daily parking fee - $29 seemed very high. $15 for web access in the room was also insulting as most hotels now offer free web access.

This hotel is nice but the paper thin walls make it an issue if the hotel is full. Also, my room was across the way of where Husekeeping goes in and out. From before 8am to about 9:30 they make a ton of noise putting their carts together, talking to each other and walking up and down the hallway with their walkie talkies turned up to the highest volume. […] To top it off the door they go in out of squeeks and they open and close it every 2 minutes. Stayed one night March 2013 prior to our cruise out of Miami. Nice outdoor, heated pool with lots of patio space. Neat shops and deli on ground level. Friendly staff. Super comfy beds, garden tub in bath. Surrounding neighborhood gets shady after dark with many homeless and beggars.

Everything was good from the service to the room and amenities. However, there was a loud noise ocassionally coming from some box in the closet. Oh and there is a $29/day fee REQUIRED for valet parking. Other than that I really enjoyed my stay and will come back.

I loved the security at the hotel. The ease of getting a taxi and the concierge was wonderful. The only issue was paying for Internet service. Other than that it was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to come back!

The hotel was gorgeous and although we didn't request it, we received an ocean view with a balcony that had chairs and a sliding door. The rail was high and solid so although our little one couldn't see out, she was VERY safe playing in the cool ocean breeze. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful in every way. My only negative comment would be that […] when we ordered a portable crib (pack n play) for our daughter, we found a bottle cap (plastic one off a water bottle) in the crib. So they either didn't change the sheets or they didn't pay attention when they changed it and set it up to clean it out properly from the last person. We used our own sheet and reported it to the front desk but no one contacted us for an apology, etc. Was kind of concerning, but could be looked at as a rare occurance. However the it was delivered to our door within 10 minutes or arrival and everyone was nice. The restaurants within the hotel are quite expensive and we had trouble finding somewhere to eat breakfast. There aren't many signs showing where things are. Good hotel though and worth the $. I stayed here with my boyfriend the night before my cruise. It is extremely close to the port of Miami( about a $10 taxi ride). The location of the hotel is great and there is a free trolley that takes you to Bayside marketplace or different parts of Miami. The staff was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

We were in a 2 BR condo overlooking the bay which was nice, but the toilets continued to run, the sink faucets were loose, door knobs/locks didn't work properly, the free wifi was weak & sometimes non existent, the television reception was poor and froze periodically up to 2 minutes sometimes and it was not exceptionally clean. I was disappointed because we stayed at the connecting Marriott hotel previously and we loved it. The Doubletree was older and the room was dirty. The shower floor was filthy, the bathroom door had brown sticky stuff on it, the wall paper was peeling, and the caulking around the sink was discolored and peeled off in a dirty clump. The bedroom furniture […] was old and tables had glass tops that were dirty. There was a hair on the end table and crumbs under the glass. There was a very long walk to our room and the oddest thing was the 7 steps in the hall way that forced you to drag your luggage up piece by piece. Doubletree was a very nice hotel. We really enjoyed our stay there. We stayed there for about two nights before we left for our cruise. It is close to the port of miami and the airport. We ate dinner one night at Primo which is located downstairs of the hotel and the food was nice and delicious.

Considering the age, the hotel is in good condition. The service was good and we enjoyed our stay, particularly the view from our balcony. The elevator to the conference level was extremely dirty and looked as if it had not been cleaned for weeks. We notified the staff when we left, but don't know what action was taken.
