Not convenient to get to. They put you in the farthest away from the reception desk as they can get. Rooms are so-so. They don't honor the cancellation policy of not charging for cancelled rooms. You still get charged for them even if you cancel a week before reservation date. Best thing about it was the TGIFriday attached.

Went to MN for a Vikings game with a large group (20+). The hotels itself was good (great for the price) but the staff and management were beyond exceptional. Everyone went out of their way to help with transportation, etc. They went far beyond the call of duty to help with everything. Never met a more friendly or helpful staff. Will definitely stay again.

We have no complaints regarding our stay at this hotel recently. It was close to the Mall of America, they also had a shuttle which we did not use because we had shopping on our mind, so we used our car so we could take stuff back to the car. They have continental breakfast which I thought was much more than donuts and coffee. I actually was quite impressed with the variety of items available. We had a newspaper outside of our door every morning. Check in and out was a breeze. No problems at all. Very pleasant experience!

out of value="10""Ants!!!"
Reviewed by Amber of Colton on Oct 14, 2009
We checked into the room on a Sunday evening. The first day we weren't in the room much, but when we got back for the night and were getting ready for bed I looked down and noticed ANTS crawling all over by the night stand. Shortly after I noticed them there I found ants under the covers of the bed! When we called down to the front desk the clerk seemed uninterested and had us pack all of our belongings and come down to the desk for keys to a new room. When we got downstairs for our new keys the man at the front desk had them ready to go and didn't even look up from his hand held video game to apologize for the inconvenience. We got upstairs to our new room and found this room to be in terrible shape. The decorations were nothing like our first room, they were old and even more outdated than our first room. The air conditioner was up in the air where you couldn't even get at it. We again made our way to the desk for a new room. This time we were put on the ground floor as far away from the front desk as he could get us. We slept in the room, but ended up finding ants in that room as well in the bathroom this time. The hotel looks alright at first, but you can really tell how dated it is when you have been there for a little while. The bathrooms were old and outdated they didn't even have a vent fan. By the time 2 people showered in there the hotel room was so stuffy we ended up doing our makeup in the car on our way to the mall. The hotel is in a good location. Very close to the mall and several places to eat. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone I liked. I'll pick somewhere different next time I'm in the cities!

This hotel was nice, clean, and reasonably priced. The only issue during our three night stay was that we reserved a room with one king bed and when we arrived, they only had a room with two double beds. They were not able to fix the problem the first night, but were able to help the next day for the remaining two nights of our stay. The beds were not the most comfortable that I have ever stayed in. Very convenient location near highways and the Mall of America. Nice to have the attached Outback restaurant. Nothing fancy, but good value overall.

From the airport to the Mall of America, they had great transportation to both. They do have a scheduled time of departure and pick-up, but was willing to pick up or drop you off at anytime 24hrs a day. The Hotel had a great continental breakfast. Most times other hotels just have coffee, juice and donuts, but they had a great selection of items like cereal, fruits and waffles you can make. There was also an Outback Steak House right next door that you can order room service from! They also had a nice indoor pool and gym. I have nothing bad to say about this Hotel, I had a great time and had a comfortable stay at this Comfort Inn.

The location and pricing for this hotel worked very well for me. It actually was much better than the main conference hotel based on comments from other people attending the same conference but staying there. What I didn't like were the front desk staff. They weren't very friendly and they just seemed too busy to engage in a smile or ask if there was anything else they could help with. Very mechanical responses. The other staff that I interacted with, someone cleaning, and the buffet breakfast staff were very nice and smiled, said good morning. Its unfortunate that the very first interaction with the hotel was not top notch. Left a lasting impression that was not especially positive. You should give them "reception lessons and smiling lessons"

Chose this place by accident as I thought it was at the Mall but its a ways away though shuttle service is available. Price is about $20 too high as the hotel is aging and paint only goes so far. Room was ok and very clean. Front desk staff was ok too but nothing to right home about. Most interesting part of the stay was leaving car there instead of airport for a week, price was very good compared to airport parking charges but will have to wait to see if car is ok upon return and convenience of shuttle back to hotel tomorrow.

Well, the outside of the hotel looks ok the inside on the other hand is just down right dirty. The hallway carpets are sections of different carpets put together and need a steam cleaning in the worst way. There is a terrible odor in the hallway as well. The rooms are not much cleaner. Just look at the amount of dust on the floor right next to the wall. I don't see myself coming back to this hotel anytime in the near future.

Great location for Mall of America - 2 minute drive or the hotel offers shuttles. Very close to airport. Decent breakfast for free! We got to the hotel early (4-5 hours before check-in time) I was going to ask for directions how to get to mall to kill some time and the clerk said if we have a room ready you can check in early. They did and we were able to check in at 11:00!! This was like heaven since we had been up at 04:30 in the morning and had taken 2 flights to get there. The staff was very nice and willing to answer any questions.

Literally blocks fom the Mall of America, 15 minutes from valleyfair, minnesota zoo, and the science museum. Also we hit up a Twins game, they offer a free shuttle to the mall of america, where u can hop on the light rail for a couple bucks and it drops ya off 20 feet from the dome. Free breakfasr was great, the outback steakhouse connected to the hotel is fantastic. I couldn't have been happier with this place! Book it!
