Not quite as nice as we anticipated based on so many good reviews. There was a dirty food container under the bed and sticky stuff stuck to the floor. There were yellow stains on the comforter and pillow under the cover. There were spots in the hall where the carpet was torn and pulled up. The pool, hot tub and gym were nice. Stayed here last year. Big difference. Didn't get the 2 beds we asked for. Sent security guard with roller bed and he just left it in middle of the room. We had to set it up and make it ourselves. Food was horrible. Will not stay there again

Great breakfast. It was free, hot, and delicious. It offered: omelets, waffles, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, fruit, muffins, coffee, and juice. Rooms were clean and staff was helpful. I will stay here again.

There were kids running through the hallway until they went to bed!! And at about 2am there was some loud commotion in the hallway for about ten minutes... I'm pretty sure it was a fight!!

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very helpful especially with directions to the hotel. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. This will definitely be our hotel of choice when we visit the area.

There was construction going on in the hotel that we were unaware of. The bed in the room was sunken in the middle which made for an uncomfortable night of sleeping. There appeared to be red juice of some sort spilled on the wall in the room that was never cleaned up the entire time we stayed there. Great Hotel for the Price. This really low price included two complimentary breakfast buffet coupons (and it was a full breakfast bar, not just some muffins and coffee). Location of hotel was really easy to take the one highway to Detroit/Windsor. The hotel was very clean, the staff was extremely courteous as well. The only two downsides to the hotel […] was 1. the beds were WAY TOO SOFT, like the bed had been used for years with very large people in it. 2. We stayed Saturday night and on Sunday morning there was a Church group that had services every Sunday. The doors to the church hall area of the facility should have been closed because the music they played was far too loud to sit and enjoy your breakfast with conversation. We found long blond hair in our bed! Not ours. We did not have enough towels. And it seemed shabby. There was a sign that said "under construction" they were working at last one elevator, but it definitely need some TLC. The staff is what makes it a wonderful environment.

The rooms need renovation BADLY... loud, constant outdated heating/cooling system in the room, children were allowed to run and play in halls....I remember the Marriott in Southfield as a 5 star luxurious hotel, today I would give it 2 stars...I will not stay there again

When I arrived there was seemingly and child's birthday party or family reunion occurring in a nearby room which was irritating, but it was over about 10pm. It is conveniently located right at two major freeways so its easy to travel to and […] from. The only real issue was the Wifi. It was supposedly complimentary, but then asked for $10 a day and even though it never asked me to pay, it also never worked so I was forced to use mobile hotspot on my iPhone. Read more

Probably one of the dirtiest Marriott rooms I have been ever seen. Not all bad but the details that were disgusting, like lip marks and fingerprints on the glasses they leave in the room for you to use, to dried blood found on the pillow! Also ate breakfast at the restaurant, and they had only three or for people working the whole place on a Sunday […] morning. Dishes were left all over tables that had been done eating and we had to wait forever to be seated. People behind us walked away. I had to beg for coffee after I sat down. Me and my boyfriend really had a nice time there back in December. We stayed for two nights and we didn't even want to leave. lol WE took advantage of all the amenities that came with our package and we even ate at the restaurant. It was an overall great experience.

Room was comfortable.. liked the free wi-fi. Bed was comfortable, TV nice and bathroom adequate. Would have preferred to have a larger coffee maker, extra in-room blankets, and a small in-room refrigerator. Ice maker didn't consistently work on the 3rd floor. Otherwise, the stay was good.
