I had no problems at this hotel. It was quiet, clean, and everything worked well except for hit-and-miss wifi. I connected to the lobby wifi and those problems went away. I'd stay here again.

Southfield Marriott was as expected; clean and decent enough for a one night stay. My wife had a seminar in the hotel. Room was clean and quiet . I took in the workout room and pool. Both were clean and well maintained. Front desk staff was kind, esp. Sharon who checked us in. There are decent restaurants within five minutes....hotel itself is located at the far end of a service drive.

The best part: the whirlpool, me and better half was able to unwind and relax from the week. The 2nd best part: the room was clean and nice, although one of our pillows had sum stain so we asked for new pillows. The service: Not too good. There was free breakfast included with our stay. But when we went for breakfast the waiter gave us a check for $27 & sum change. It was corrected but avoidable if some way the people who work for that department will know that sum guests will have breakfast incl. with their stay. We found this hotel at a good rate for the weekend that was one of the specific reasons why we booked this hotel. Sometimes there are sum issues when a room is booked with a convenient rate. Also, there is a holding deposit with a credit card to stay at this chain of Marroitt that was another hang up that we were not aware of from booking this hotel. So, the free breakfast included making sure the guest does not have to go to the front desk to make sure there's no charge. The holding deposit for hotels that have one should be visual and known to the people booking within the reservation notes for any hotel booking. Overall, nice but avoidable irritation.

Staff was polite and hotel was clean. Located right by Interstate highway, about 40 minutes from DFW airport. Restaurant was OK. Free parking. WiFi barely worked. Room was small. This place was adequate but not great.

This appears to be an older hotel, but it has nice furnishings and was fairly comfortable. It has a large onsite resturant, which was good, because there were no other resturants close by. I needed to print a couple of emails from the Business Center, but the printer was in need of a new cartridge. One of the employees at the desk offered to print them, if I could give it to them on a flash drive, which I did. I appreciated the help, but would have been easier if they had just installed a new print cartridge.

Good stay. Marriott is always a nice place to stay. Location was a bit hard to find, but then that's how it is off the freeways in Detroit area. Front desk was helpful in guiding us in by phone.

We were welcomed warmly by the concierge. The room was impeccable! The breakfast served the next morning was stocked and delicious. The dining room was clean and the employees were very accommodating. We will return there every time we are in the area and have recommended this hotel to our close friends and family.

We were told upon our arrival that our room didn't include breakfast only to find out when I looked at my receipt that it did. by then we had checked out-my mistake. Rooms were comfortable but after the first day, we never had coffee or any cups in our room. We were also told that we could not get credit for our Marriott rewards since we booked through Expedia-I will follow up on that. Staff were very pleasant, wanting to please. otherwise.

I should not have booked a non-refundable rate for 5 days as we were out of our nearby home while our only bathroom was undergoing renovation. We moved to a suite in a different motel. This motel is fine for business travelers, but did not meet our needs. Besides the expensive on-site restaurant, there are no restaurants within a couple of miles.

We have stayed here many times. Alexandria was fab!! Very nice stay. Good workout room. Only negative is that the elevators are really slow for a hotel this size, and that's pretty minor, patience not my strong suit.

I stayed at a hotel down the street close to my meeting. But they raised there rates and decided to stay here. Great price for area, nice hotel, great staff, loved the bar food and service. definitely will return when in town.

I was I town for family members funeral. Came in late and left early. My main interaction if hotel was room only. Nice spacious room and set up. Nice bed & pillows. I'm about attention to details: Linen on bed & towels in bathroom did not smell it feel like they were fresh; some were stained. While I respect they may not CHG linens everyday for guests staying over a day; as s new guest I ecoext yo have fresh smelling linen & towels. The toilet look at though had not been cleaned for a very long time due to the huge dirt and/or rust ring inside toilet.

I feel for the people who work there...the outdated rooms, the "smoke free" rooms that smell like ashtrays and the cheap beds are not their fault. All employees were exceptional and the breakfast was great...I would never go back due to the owners of the Marriott not investing in their guests comfort. Multi million if not billion dollar company should be ashamed of themselves!!!

I have stayed at this hotel before and loved the space of the room, so going back for a quick getaway and rest was a no brainer. I selected a room with the same amenities I had before. Well when I got to my room it was not what I had paid - did not have the amenities indicated on the website. Not completely content, but ok. I should have said something but I was extremely tried. Next time I will definitely say something as I want what I paid for. Overall good stay - would recommend this hotel to other.

I was throughly pleased with this hotel and the level of service. Very pleased with David in the restaurant on the 1st floor and his exceptional service. The rooms were very clean, bed comfy, and located off the highway. Will definitely stay here again.

-Quiet and secluded -Spider crawling on the bed as we watched TV -Sheets were dirty when we arrived. New sheets had stains in them. -No microwave or refrigerator, so don't plan on bringing any food back to the room. -Room decor was nice, but the other flaws did not help improve experience. -There was a fire drill in the middle of the night and we had to go outside in the rain. It was a false alarm but of course an inconvenience. We heard this from another guest instead of the hotel staff, which I thought was unprofessional.

We had a delightful stay at this hotel. The staff was very pleasant and efficient, including the restaurant manager. Our room was clean and pleasant. The pool area was very nice. I found it a little tricky to find off the hiway, but with my GPS it was fine.

A nice establishment but there is no coordination between the front desk and operations. Rooms were not ready on time and housekeeping was very slow. Room was made up after 2 calls. Ready at 5:30 pm. Bar is pricey .

We reserved two deluxe rooms for a Detroit Lions game. I liked the reviews I saw, and the price was very reasonable for being a short drive to downtown Detroit. Everything was clean and spacious and the hotel staff was very pleasant. We even tried to get the concierge to go to the pub with us. The wall-mounted thermostat for controlling room temperature has both Fahrenheit and Centigrade options for our Canadian neighbors.

I was pleased by the size of the room and the beds were comfortable. Restaurant was good. I was disappointed in the maid service. Every thing was done each day however the bathtub was not cleaned very well. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Easy location.
