Liked the hotel, first room, the bathroom too small for comfort. They did change our room without a problem, for a room that was slightly bigger with a larger bathroom. We were very satisfied. I would consider this hotel again. It is so close to trams and the main station. Also department store across the street. Very quiet for a downtown hotel.

The Alexander is a short walk from the train station and convenient to all the fun of the Old Town in Zurich. We were given an upgrade from the Guesthouse to the Main Hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable. We were right among the cobblestone alleys of the Old Town and only 5 minutes walk from the shopping along Bahnhofstrasse. We'll stay at the Alexander again on our next trip.

Hotel is minimalist located by Zurich University. The room was very attractive and with the southern exposure the sun was uplifting. It is approximately a 10 minute walk to the 'old city'...the Platte trolley stop is only a block away Staff was very helpful upon arrival. Breakfast seemed to be a bit disorganized ( but very adequate), as the Hotel seemed to be in the midst of the 'slow season'. Overall the place is very good and I would recommend to others. I miss the coffee already!!!

Beside clean room, comfortable beds, relative central location, our room was noisy, not only from outside, but we good also hear our neighbours speaking. Not exactly what they said, but it reminded us of our cheap hotels and motels from years ago. Breakfast was good thought. Restaurant was cosy.

De la paix was a pretty conveniently located hotel in Lucerne once we found it (hidden behind a restaurant). Its a 5 minute walk to the lake, 10 to the boats that take you to Vitznau, etc. The room was clean but no real niceties included. It was fine for a place to sleep but not much more than that. The front desk gave a great recommendation on a restaurant […] that served really good fondue. I'd recommend this place to friends if they needed a place to lay their heads down, but not for any kind of 'comfort' travel. Read more

This place was amazing. My boyfriend and I decided to drive up to Switzerland for a day trip from Italy, but as the weather got worse we thought it better to stay overnight rather than drive in the rain at night. Hotels.com helped us find this place literally last minute. When we got to the hotel, they hadn't recieved our reservation yet but they gave […] us a room anyway and worked out all the issues once we got settled in. We told them that we had to leave early in the morning to get back to Italy. They packed us a lunch bag and left it at our door since we were leaving before breakfast! Talk about service. When we left, the front desk was closed, and they politely emailed me about room charges. Everything was resolved over the phone with no problems. The staff was great! So helpful and understanding of our situation. The room was extremely clean and rather large! The hotel was located two blocks from the lake in a very nice part of town. The Hotel was very convenient to shopping and sights. There was no air conditioning so the room was warm since the temperatures were in the 80's. We opened the window which helped but closed it because it was to noisy to sleep. Breakfast was included which is a plus. Parking was close but we had to park and carry our luggage through a shopping area. […] One person stayed with the car while the other found the Hotel and where to park. Had to call reception on a phone on the reception desk, and check in took too long. They however did give me requested room. The room was good, and bathroom fine, but the noise insulation was poor. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly, makes the place a cosey home from home. Nice restaurant within the property, good breakfast and open wireless in the rooms, makes it a good business hotel for a short stay, even if it is with single beds, the bedding was comfortable!

The location was excellent, 7mins from the train station..1min from the shore of Lake Luzern. Plenty of shops and restraunts near by it, with a restraunt in the hotel taking outside bookings. I did not personally eat there so cannot comment on the food. Breakfast was included in the price and was at a very reasonable hour - 07:00 - 10:00 - Just a normal […] breakfast on The Continent, lots of ham, cheese, bread, crackers, cereals that sort of thing. Countless types of tea and coffee and a good selection of juices. The room was a good size for what it was, the view was not all too desirable but the fact it was so near the lake made up for it. It had a desk, chair, T.V mounted on the wall. There was a lift there. Staff were friendly and helpful when I asked them to assist me in finding information out about getting to the summit of Mount Rigi. The hotel also had free Wi-Fi so I could use all my BlackBerry services there. All in all a good experience, I would definitely go back there. Good value for money Read more

De la Paix is in an excellent location right at the edge of the pedestrian district of the old town. I don't really think it would meet the 3star rating though. It was clean and the staff very friendly, but the room was small and very basic.

We were very satisfied with the service at the hotel, 10min walk from trainstation and very close to the shopping centre. The only complaint we had was the size and position of the T.V. A very good breakfast was included in the price.

Si scende e si è subito sulla principale via pedonale del centro storico. A 50 metri c'è in parcheggio sotteraneo del centro commerciale Lowen. Se si chiede in hotel ti danno un pass giornaliero che ti fa risparmiare sul parcheggio. In reception parlano anche in italiano. Ottimo.

I stayed in De La Paix for 5 days, booking 1 month in advance. There were few options. It's really near the train station, which is right in front of the lake, and if you don't carry heavy bags, it should be easy to get there. 酒店位置和设施尚可。反正欧洲的旅馆设施都差不多。早餐正常，品种还算比较多，一般该有的都有。服务人员的态度也还不错。缺点：价格太贵。我们临走结账时候还被收了每人每晚2法郎的旅游税，很不爽。
