Like most Windsor the staff are great, friendly, and helpful. Most speak English. The breakfast buffet has a good variety of food but it's certainly not at the level of Windsor Atlantica. The rooms are a bit dated but clean and they're certainly better than other 3.5 star hotels in the area. On the other hand, the bathrooms are rather spacious. It's in a good location right on the border of Copacabana and Leme, though not facing the beach it's about a 5 min walk. I prefer Windsor Atlantica, but this is a great alternative to the 4 and 5 star hotels if you want to save a bit of money.

Pros: Excellent Front Desk Staff. They all courteous, speak english and very helpful to your needs. Room service is great. Unless there are people ahead of you for service Good value for money. Good Amentities. Cons: Breakfast buffet is okay little expensive Room service menu is strictly ok. compared to hotels in US. Location is strictly ok. There is a shop opp the hotel but no restaurants,pharmacy, convienence store etc close by. It isn't a happening neighouborhood. It's kind of far from the Mall and other parts of the city.

This hotel is on the main commercial street in Copacabana. There are lots of stores and restaurants on this street, with lots of people on the street,... and it seemed very safe to me. The Cantagalo Metro stop is only 3 blocks away, and the beach only 2 blocks away. I arrived there after traveling 3 weeks with an adventure tour group and it was so nice to be able to get in touch again with the world, as they have CNN on the television. I got a room in the back, which was quiet, but unfortunately the air conditioning system in my room was pretty loud, and I got tired of the noise, turned it off and opened the window. There is a great restaurant only a couple of blocks down the same street which is a buffet, and you put food on your plate, they weigh it, and you pay by the weight. They have a lot of nice salads and vegetables, which I think is unusual in Brazil. But nothing is really cheap in Brazil. I think this hotel would have had been good back in the days but right now it lacks the charm, cleanliness, proper upkeep of the rooms. It seems it hasn't been renovated in ages. According to the amount I paid, the bed sheets were mediocre, toiletries were bad and the blankets were dirty and dusty. I wont recommend this hotel.

This is a very basic hotel, the price was high, but it was Carnival, all hotels were jacked up in price. It certainly was not worth the price we paid, but it served our basic needs. Free breakfast is very good and it is much more than at a regular U.S. hotel. The hotel is very old and at Expedia rates I got a very small room in lower floor with a window to a tiny courtyard. The window across the courtyard was about 10 yards from mine. Ice cost is $5 real a bucket.

Savoy Othon is just what is expected for the price: clean sheets, clean rooms, nice staff, good breakfast. No frills. Very convenient: the Metro station is just two blocks away. Copacabana beach just two blocks away. The Bus stop just a block away.

I have stayed over the past 20 years in another Hotel in Copacabana but decided the prices has soared lately .So,I thought I would try the Savoy as it belongs to a very reputable chain ( Othon) and was glad I did,.I have already booked it again . Prima, alleen jammer dat de internetvoorziening van het hotel prijzig is. Toplocatie, zowel strand als restaurants en winkels liggen om de hoek van het hotel. Personeel aan de balie is erg druk en daardoor vrij onpersoonlijk.

Um bom hotel. No Rio todas as diárias são caras para os hoteis. Contudo é uma boa opção mais econômica. Tem um ponto de bicicleta para alugar bem na frente da praia. Bom café da manhã. A maioria dos pilotos e aeromoças da Tam se hospedam nesse hotel.

O hotel é bem localizado e o atendimento da recepção muito bom. Porém a cama é desconfortável, o colchão é uma pedra. Os quartos da frente é impossível dormir, pois o barulho da rua é grande. Boa localização, próximo a praia, supermercado perto e cafeteria aberta 24 horas na esquina do hotel.

Første natt hadde vi rom ut mot gaten som var veldeg støyende (dårlig lydisolering), men dette fikk vi heldigvis byttet. Ellers så er ikke hotellet det beste, det er ingen pool eller bar/restaurant (utenom frokost restauranten), og en vanlig ting som å låne strykejern var ikke mulig.

スタッフは英語ＯＫでとても親切だった。ツアーも丁寧に説明してくれた。部屋は毎日掃除してあった。朝食もまあまあ。ホテル周辺は、海岸、スーパー、飲食店が徒歩圏内にあり便利だった。価格と共に満足できるホテル。ただし夜は、安全とは言えない。貴重品は必要最低限で持って移動することをオススメする。

Very noisy. We had our room on the 10th floor facing the main street Av NS de Copa. But besides that: breakfast is fantastic and in 3 min you're at the beach.

Also wir fanden das Hotel für 2 Tage völlig in Ordnung. Für den Preis kriegt man nur schwer was besseres. Die Zimmer und das Hotel sind Sauber, das Personal freundlich und die Lage ist auch Super. Muito cara a internet! R$ 0,20 por minuto! Não há sinal de celular no interior do hotel o que obriga os hóspedes a utilizarem o telefone do hotel. O valor da ligação é altíssimo!
