"All Seasons, Bordeaux - handy for the airport"Reviewed by Geoff B of "Maidstone, Kent" on Apr 13, 2012
Ideal for an overnighter if travelling to/from Bordeaux airport - and breakfast included as well!
"Complimentary Lunchbox - a nice touch"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 12, 2012
Stayed one night - very basic standard however the staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. We received a complimentary small bottle of wine on arrival. The area is ideal, within a short walk of almost everything. The complimentary lunchbox (water, sandwich, crisps, small cake) was a great touch and was really appreciated on our onward train journey. great value for money

‘Wine improves with age. The older I get, the better I like it,’ said writer Ernest Hemingway. For lovers of the grape, Bordeaux is the world’s most legendary, fine wine-making region. The vineyards of its 57 ‘appellations’ (production areas) produce everything from red, velvety claret to sparkling white crémant de Bordeaux. A visit to at least one of the 5,000 plus châteaux where the grapes are raised, picked and matured is a must.

Great location only a 10-15 minute walk to the old town. Hotel is very nice but some things are showing their age - the bathroom needed a refit and so I don't think the hotel was 5*. But overall I would recommend it.
"Burdigala - Bordeaux"
Good location - 5min walk to center of town. Hotel recently remodelled and they did a very good job. Rooms are bright and comfortable - great shower and bath, I would recommend this hotel if in Bordeaux for business mor pleasure.
"Great Location, 5 Star Hotel"
This is a five star hotel in a great location, walking distance (10 minutes) to all the sights, near the tram, but on a quiet street. Staff were very helpful & friendly & happy to speak English to us. There was a shower, large bed, & standard toilet - hard to find all of those things even in the nicest hotels in Europe. Will be back...
"Not for me"
Many other better locations - but the 2 main problems were being charged 15 Euro room tax (called City tax) I was under impression room & tax were prepaid in full. Second we were given a room just adjacent to roof so the view was roof with 1000 cigarette butts in all forms of decay - disgusting. Room small but comfortable & the bed was one of my favorites […] - very comfortable. Sa la vie, Read more
"Perfect Hotel For Short Breaks"
Absolutely fabulous hotel. Quite small but excellent quality room. The staff consistently went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Overall an excellent accomodation experience. Quite well located to walk straight into the old city centre.
"One of the best hotels in Bordeaux"
My stay at this hotel was a pleasure. It is well-appointed if not luxurious, and the staff is particularly helpful and obliging. I borrowed a corkscrew and calculator from the front desk without a problem. My room was very well maintained and clean, the A/C worked as it should, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet is excellent if rather […] expensive, with a diverse offering of fresh fruits and exceptionally fresh (and unlimited) orange juice - a rarity in France! Read more
"Burdigala Hotel Bordeaux"
Well appointed city hotel, has a good dining-room and very pleasent staff but is not of 5 star quality, however room rate that I paid did represent value for money.
"The Burdigala Experience"
This hotel offers fabulous old world service and dining. The staff went far above my expectations to make our stay comfortable including serving breakfast after the hours were over, finding taxis for us during inclement hours, and serving an exquisite, gourmet meal though the restaurant hours were nearly over. This is a classy hotel that offers a genuinely […] wonderful old world French experience. Read more

"Hotel Burdigala, Bordeaux"
We were delighted with the central location of the hotel, within five to fifteen mins walk to all the main attractions, restaurants, shops. The room was very comfortable , spotlessly clean & with efficient , quite air con! All the staff were friendly and really helpful in answereing all our queries. The food was good, dinner was good value for money […] but breakfast was overpriced . Overall, we would recommend this hotel and Bordeaux in general for a great city break. Read more
"3rd stay at the Burdigala"
This was our third visit to Bordeaux and stay at the Burdigala and as always, we had an excellent trip. Though the hotel is a little out of the city centre, it is only a 5 or so minute walk away from the main shopping/restaurant areas. The reception staff are particularly helpful and are all fluent English speakers.
"Good location and comfort combined"
A quietly efficient hotel which provided excellent service, including the directing me towards the highlights of Bordeaux for my brief visit. Lovely French breakfast. A limited range of English channels (Sky News and CNN) on the TV.
Read more
