The hotel could not be any more convenient to all sights, shopping, food, transportation, artistic venues. Very comfortable and relaxing to stay here. This was my fourth time, i already have a fifth booked.

Only dislikes are that the pillows are pretty flat and there isnt free wifi in the rooms. But there are a couple computers in the lobby that are free to use and considering the rooms are under 50euro a night, I really don't have anything negative to say. If you're traveling on a budget and don't want to take the hostel route, this is the way to go.

We were there for the Christmas markets, and it was a great location in reference to them as well as shopping malls and the train station. There were many cafes nearby as well, though I wouldn't say much for cozy sit-down restaurants and the hotel bar was pricey. Clean minimalist hotel in very close proximity to the central train station and easy walk to all historical sites. For the price you have a very clean but small room. 7 minute walk via a pedestrial walkway from the train station. Minutes to Old Town sites. Starbucks right outside the door. We have stayed at this IBIS before. We loved the location and the standard that all IBIS hotels have. Rooms are very small but we didn't spend much time there so it was not a problem. The Lilienstein Hotel in Dresden is ideally located. A five minute walk from the train station to the hotel, another five minutes from the hotel to many of the most important sites in Dresden, the opera house, the river, both major churches, many of the wonderful museums. I gave this hotel a 2 for service, because they charged 12 Euros for internet -- even in the lobby. Another Ibis Hotel where I stayed in Aachen had free internet. Gouging people for this service is unacceptable. I did not use the internet here, but in the future will stay only at hotels that offer free or affordable internet service.

Modernized and refurbished, it is a good-quality 3-star hotel in the walking distance to the old city. A walk to the Semper Opera, the Dresden Old Master Gallery, abd the Elector Residence will take you just 10-15 minutes. A bakery/cafe right in front of the hotel entrance. In the middle of shopping malls and stores.

Hotel is very close to the main station and on a nice pedestrian shopping area. The hotel was as expected for 3 stars, but with the service at a high level. We had two requests in our 3 night stay of the reception desk and they were filled very promptly. Only nit was the bed was a bit hard, but the rooms were clean and we enjoyed our stay.

The staff is very curtious and hospitable. The hotel is very clean and conveniently located -- only a 10 minute walk from the center of the city. The only draw backs are the extremely slow elevators (though they do have 4 elevators). Situated on high street. In between the old town and Dresden Hbf (10 mins walking distance each). Modern, clean and no trouble at all when requested for luggage storage service. However, we were not allowed to boil hot water in the room (could get from reception anyway) and there was no fridge in the room (therefore we had to place our shopping near […] window to keep them cool). Fine if you only need to stay for one night. Bed seemed broken as it was very uncomfortable. There was mould in the bathroom. The hotel is in a good location and has air-con, these are the only 2 positives. The hotel is in need of some modernisation, very dated.

Easy walk from Dresden Hauptbahnhof (be careful, Dresden has two main stations). Lots of restaurants but very few stores in the area to get water, fruit, etc. The best is the store in the basement of the train station. Very close to all old town attractions. Wifi is expensive if it isn't included in your room rate.

Excellent Dresden location, between the cmain train station and the Old Town (5-10 minute walk).And just around the corner is a tram stop for going to the Neustadt area across the river. Area's not gorgeous, but it's full of all the big shops and has many places to eat, even a Starbucks on the corner. The Ibis hotels often times make me feel like I'm on a school trip with their basic though spotless rooms. This one was no different. The room was small but the hotel's location and the view (our room was on the 10 floor) more than made up for it.

This hotel provides exactly what one would expect in an Ibis hotel in Europe - modest but decent accommodation. The location was better than we expected but getting to the place was a trial. We didn't know that one cannot drive on Prager Strass. Essentially we found our way to the hotel by accident, having got lost twice.

If you're willing to take public transit (which is excellent) to get to the major sights, then this hotel is ideally located, with an S-Bahn station within a few minutes walk. Ibis does charge for internet (Wi-Fi and for the computer in the lobby) which is always a downer.

The big advantage of this hotel is that it is in easy walking distance of both the city centre tourist attractions and the main railway station. Despite this it is remarkably quiet (we were on the 10th floor facing away from the small side street). Wir waren zum Neujahrskonzert in der Frauenkirche und wollten deshalb in Dresden übernachten. Die Lage inmitten des Zentrums von Dresden ist schon exponiert, die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Hotel wirkt frisch renoviert, alles ist sehr sauber. Der Aufenthalt war für ein 3 Sterne-Hotel überraschend angenehm. Das einzige was wir bemängeln konnten, war der über den ganzen Aufenthaltszeitraum defekte Getränkeautomat auf unserer Etage. Ansonsten können wir das Hotel für einen Kurzurlaub immer weiterempfehlen.
