When we had initially booked we had requested a king. When we got to check in there was no king. I was really disappointed and when I spoke to The Ultimate in Customer Service Maurice at the hotel the next morning he was nothing less then Superb in handling the situation with efficiency and a smile. All in All this Hotel was nice with a comfortable bed and a O.K. breakfast. The room was VERY SMALL with the door open you could not get the luggage cart past the dresser.

Room was clean and hotel was in good condition. Breakfast selections were very nice and extensive. We rolled in from a gymnastics meet at 9:45 pm and rolled out at 7 am; was perfect for our purpose. Good value

Desk clerk was on a personal call as we entered, and rather rudley took my hotels.com paperwork out of my hand. Less then 5 minutes after entering room, she called to ask how the room was. I was not happy with a 3rd floor room, as I was traveling with my children. I was also not please to learn I was in a connecting room, but was too tired to mess with […] asking for a change. I did appreciate the hot tea/coffee in lobby all night. Breakfast was great. Athough the employee in charge of that service stayed in the room to watch tv?, and I found that bothersome. Upon arrival the hotel looked nice from the outside. The lobby and front desk were similar to what I have seen in higher priced hotels. The room was one room away from the elevator and we did not hear it a single time that night. We set the heater so that the fan would run all the time even when the heat was not on. The room was a King room with coffee maker (never used it), microwave (never used it), and a medium fridge (wanted to use it but it was broken). The tub/toilet area was a bit dated. There was a curved shower curtain rod but it had a major sagging issue. The woman at the front desk was pleasant and efficient. She was still there and in different clothing the next morning. Considering it was between Christmas and New Years she was probably working extra shifts and she was very pleasant to deal with. I would stay there again if there was nothing else in the area in my price range. With some maintenance this average property could be exceptional. ...there are no nice places to eat nearby, only fast food and they are pretty trashed out. If you happen to get a room on the first floor, beware of the outdoor flood lights around the building! They are very bright and the curtains do not provide full protection. The staff was VERY nice and the hotel was clean and up-to-date.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The hotel is right off Highway 20 and easily accessible to shopping, grocery stores and restaurants. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The King-sized bed in the room was very comfortable.

My husband and his cousin stayed overnight and were extremely pleased with this hotel. They had been on the river that day and got rained on so they were wet and muddy when they checked in but the staff was very courteous to them. They got a welcome package with bottled water, snacks and info on places to eat nearby. When they tried to use the laundry […] the detergent dispenser took their money but was out of soap. They went to the front desk where they were given their money back and the staff gave them dome dish detergent and fabric softener at no charge so they could wash their clothes. The breakfast staff was also very friendly and showed them how to use the waffle iron. Selection was excellent. They had sausage and gravy along with all the standard breakfast items. Really needs updated (paint, carpet, room decor all needs replaced) and rooms need cleaned...like "deep cleaned". Breakfast was "below average" compared to other hotels, of same "caliber", breakfasts . Really just didn't live up to what I think of when I see the "Marriott" logo.

I hope they don't save this room for Hotel.com customers--while everything about the motel was above average to outstanding, we were given a very small room--while adequate it was small because the elevator shaft took up part of the room--thankfully we were never bothered by any noise.

I travel frequently from Georgia to Dallas. Vicksburg is about 8 hours into the trip, which is all I care to drive in one day. I would stay at the Wyndham, which is about 3/4 a mile away, until Holiday Inn bought it out & raised the price on a room. Fairfield Inn by Marriott is as nice, if not nicer than, the Wyndham was, with the same amenities, including […] breakfast & interior rooms. As a woman traveling alone, having an interior room is important to me. It is also near to & just as easy to get off & on I-20, so I don't have to negotiate in-town traffic. Nice staff. They were extremely polite and gave me a gift bag at check in. Clean room. Beer, wine and snacks were offered in the lobby before 7 PM the day I stayed there. Breakfast was OK. Standard issue complimentary setup (waffles, cereals, fruit, etc.). I would recommend this place to others staying in Vicksburg.

When we checked in the girl waiting on us very nice and helpfull. The rooms were very clean and smelled nice. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of towels and such. We stayed at the Fairfield Inn on Orme drive for 2 nights. The hot breakfast is wonderful. The location is great - several restaurants and grocery store in walking distance. Vicksburg Mall short drive down the street. The staff were very nice and helpful. Front desk clerks always at the desk, no matter what time we walked by. Rooms were nice and clean […] - beds comfortable, bathrooms clean. Housekeeping were pleasant. The manager appeared to be available most of the time - we met him during check in - he offered tips for the site seeing, he also worked the breakfast counter with another employee - restocking and clearing tables. He always stopped what he was doing to answer my questions - do you have hot chocolate packets (at 8 pm?) etc... We were welcomed warmly to the hotel by the front desk clerk and check in went quickly. The manager, Jim, introduced himself and asked if we needed directions to anywhere. He recommended a nice restaurant and told us that if we needed anything, just ask. The room was nice, clean, and cool. The wireless internet was fast. The breakfast was good and included […] waffles, scrambled eggs, and sausage. The breakfast room did get crowded at times. The only negative was the road noise from the interstate. Our room faced the highway and the road noise was noticeable. If the A/C fan would stay on all the time it would cover up the road noise. However, when the A/C compressor stops, the fan stops also.
