"Non-smoking room smells"
The non-smoking room is full of the smell of smoke. Give me nightmares.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, large room!"
Right next to the main train station and a metro stop. Can walk to the city center in less than five minutes. Off a quiet street...spacious room and shower. Would go back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not my first stay here, but has become a regular.."
I've stayed here a few times in the past few years. Its a conveniently located hotel far enough away from the shopping street to avoid most of the noise, but close enough to get access to the U3 subway, which is only a block away and leads to the Altstadt. Since I stayed there a few times before, I was given a complimentary room upgrade, which was nice. […] The rooms were kept immaculate by the staff. The web connection was a little weak, but that seemed to be a problem everywhere I went in Vienna, so I can't fault them. Outside of that, a good overall stay. "close to metro"
The sign on the front of the hotel says Anatol Hotel....nothing about Austria Trend, so I was a bit confused at first. The staff checked me in quickly. The room was fine, the windows double paned which kept the street noise out. The room got a bit hot at night, but the hotel provided a fan. The hotel is just off a main shopping street. There are plenty […] of restaurants and markets around, so I did not eat at the breakfast buffet. The metro was 5 minutes away from the hotel and a few stops to the old town area. "Decent hotel, convenient"
Nice no-frills hotel close to shopping and transit hubs. I've stayed here about 8 times over the years, and its a conveniently located hotel. The rooms are always clean, the staff are generally nice (if not a little stiff). Never had breakfast at the hotel, but its well situated to a major shopping street and is around the corner from the U3 metro line, […] which goes directly to the city center and is within walking distance of Westbahnhof, which is helpful, if you are using Vienna as a transit point to Munich or Budapest. "Great value hotel"
This was a well priced hotel very conveniently located to the center. Room was clean and spacious for European standards. Would definitely go back.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good stay with one small negative"
This is a great place. Excellent location (block and a half from the subway), modern hotel and room design, and clean room. One downside is late check out charge. When I asked about it, I was told that it's not a problem. However, I was not told about 10euro per hour charge, so that was an unpleasant surprise at the check out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It is a simple hotel without lots of facilityies but everything is fine. Quite clean, 10minutes walk from westbahnhof station, free WI-FI.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
All the personal are very kind, my family does not speak english never the less this was not and issue to receive a good treatment, I have to remark as a opportunity for improvement the check in process is not common to have triple occupant rooms so the lady at the front desk send to us to the wrong room it wasn't prepare I give us the impression of […] a rush room cleaning, so I decide to reject the room and give them more time to prepare the room. For the price I would expect a better location but is not bad is about 2.5 miles from the tourist area. Thanks for the hospitality. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Just another standard chain hotel. No hot water or kettle in the room. But the location is not bad, with walking distance to the underground and shopping street.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
While inside ok, but surroundings a bit boring and no open shops after 1930 makes it somewhat disappointing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location nice rooms"
Only two short blocks from one of the main streets that leads to the museums and other sights all of which are in easy walking distance from the hotel. Clean spacious rooms and friendly and efficient staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Location is good Good for money saver Room is like a Ikea's showroomGenuine Expedia guest review
Good location. Easy access to U-Bahn. A few stops from the center of town, St Stenphanplazt.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel itself was not bad, room was clean except for noted stains that sppeared to be blood on the side of the bed frame. Staff was not very friendly. The hotels location was good in relation to public transportation and not a long trip to city centerGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"All around, a wonderful choice."
Great location, modern well kept hotel. Front desk people helpful but not particularly very warm and friendly, maybe a cultural thing. We would stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
The location was good, about 10 minute walk to the underground. It was a bit noisy if you have a room in the front of the building.Genuine Expedia guest review
We did not know what to expect since it was booked on line. We arrived and the staff spoke English and were very friendly and helpful. We asked about transportation, food, sites and they helped with everything. We would stay their again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A wonderful price+location+quality combination"
I have been to other hotels in Vienna and I can definitely say that the price+location+quality of this hotel is superb. It's not super-fancy, but it excels at what it does. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and comfortable. It's 2 minutes walking distance from the Webgasse U3 station & from Mariahilferstrasse, one of the best shopping streets in Vienna. […] And frankly, most of the time you don't need the subway at all - you just scroll down Mariahilferstrasse for about 20 minutes and you end up in the historical heart of Vienna (Museums Quarters, The Natural History Museum, The Art History Museum, Hofburg, the Parliament, etc.) The hotel breakfast costs 15EUR per person per day, which is very typical for Vienna. If you don't need to splurge, my recommendation would be to skip it. There are a ton of options on Mariahilferstrasse. They don't have AC which is also very typical for Vienna. The rooms have fans instead, which do the trick throughout most of the year. The hotel is on a relatively peaceful street, but keeping the windows open may be a bit too noisy. Keeping the windows shut + turning the fan on was sufficient for us. We visited June 1st-June 4th. Would definitely recommend and go there again! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A few kinks but good overall"
Overall a nice hotel if you would like to stay in a nice Vienna neighborhood as opposed to the touristy area inside the ring. Hotel is a few blocks from the Westbanhopf, and two from the U-bahn off of a very delight shopping street Mariahoff (I know I butchered the spelling). Nice sized and comfortable rooms, except that the bathroom is small. Also, […] of issue was that the bathroom just did not seem to be cleaned well. You could clearly smell the presence of the previous guest. The lobby area is very pleasant and full of tourist information, and the staff are helpful and immediately suggested to keep and lock up our luggage when our room was not ready due to early arrival. Breakfast room and offering were nice but standard compared to other hotels offering similar service. Our big complaint was that our Expedia booking clearly stated free internet and buffet breakfast, but we were forced to pay for the buffet breakfast upon checkout despite showing our Expedia reservation. "Near Wien-West railroad station and Subway"
We took train from Budapest to Wien-West railroad station, from there we walked to the hotel, about 15 minutes, if we take subway one stop and walk will be faster. hotel have internet, they arranged an extra bed for my daughter, additional charge 30 euro per night, because it's Christmas time, should reasonable. we stay two night and sleep well, and […] have fun at Vienna. "Reasonable hotel, reasonable price"
Decent hotel. Its located a few blocks from the Westbahnhof transportation hub, and spitting distance from Mariahilferstrasse (a major shopping street), and the U3 subway line. The staff is okay, providing very Austrian service (efficient, but can seem a bit cold). They offer free WLAN, although it wasn't the greatest connection in the world. I opted […] out of breakfast, as there are a few alternative options within 3 blocks distance to the hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean and Convenient"
The Anatol was only four blocks away from the Westbahnhof Subway (Ubahn) Station which made it very convenient. The hotel is only two blocks from a main shopping area with tons of shops, cafes, restaurants and even a Starbucks only about 3/4 of a mile away. The hotel is only about a mile from the main Ring of historical buildings so it made for a very […] nice visit. The room was clean and comfortable. A little small from American standards and the bedding material left a little to be desired but overall the room met my needs. If I were here on business and planning to spend considerable time in the room, this would not have been the place to stay. The room also had a small refrigerator but breakfast was not included in the purchase price of the room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice Place to Stay"
I visited Vienna with my girlfriend and we stayed at the Austria Trend Hotel Anatol. It was a nice little place that was fairly well maintained. It was not exceedingly luxurious by any means, but we had the business room, which was more than nice enough for the amount of time we spent there. This also included a free minibar, which was absolutely worth […] it as there was wine, beer, water, coke, orange juice, and some snacks that were refilled every day. We ended up bringing back most of the alcohol for our friends, although we did drink some of it, and all the non-alcoholic beverages we received. The water was really nice to have since we walked around a lot and water fountains were scarce. The only things that were not the best were the shower, which leaked because of a very strange door, and a lack of air conditioning. The maids were very friendly, however, and the room was well cleaned. The hotel is not in the heart of the tourist area, but is right near a neat main street with lots of little shops. My girlfriend would have liked to be nearer to Karlsplatz and that area, but I liked that we were a bit removed and able to see more of the non-tourist area of Vienna, especially since the main tourist attractions were only a short U ride away. One major benefit was that the hotel was only a block from the U station that connects with the line to the airport so we did not have to cart our luggage around very far after getting off the U (it is totally worth taking the train from the airport, by the way, as it is much cheaper than a taxi, which other friends of ours did take, and pretty easy to navigate even for two non-German speakers). All in all, this was a nice little hotel that I would definitely recommend. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Anatol modern and convienient"
I stayed at the Hotel Anatol for 2 nights. It is located one block away from the metro (orange line, Webegasse stop) so it is easy to get around Vienna from the hotel. I took the CAT train from airport and then transferred to the orange line (I had only 2 pieces of hand luggage) and I am sure I arrived before a taxi would. Staff were very friendly and […] helpful (especially Dominic at the front desk). The room was modern and nicely designed, as was the lobby area. The breakfast buffet was nicely done and had interesting choices. The only issue for me was the layout of the shower/tub that makes climbing into the shower/tub a bit of a contortionist act. That is a small matter for me but might concern someone with mobility issues. Overall, I was pleased with the hotel and its location, the design of the room was very pleasing, and the staff was a pleasure to meet. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Value for Money"
Enjoyable stay - hotel staff excellent. Good location to explore the City and plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Just one small request for coffee / tea facilities in room - I really think this is needed. The bottom line - I would certainly use the hotel again on my next visit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Warm welcome, cool room"
A short walk from the underground, the Hotel Anatol presents a friendly face to the traveller, starting with a warm welcome from a highly competent english-speaking desk clerk. We upgraded our room (booked on line) as the benefits of a late checkout and a pair of free drinks exceeded the cost. The room itself was large by European hotel standards, with […] a comfortably proportioned bathroom. Front desk staff were all helpful in recommending restaurants sightseeing options and transportation modes for easy access to events and locations. The area is safe to walk in and the hotel has many attractions within walking distance. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice room, close to shopping."
We drove in and found it very hard to get to even with our navigation on. To many one way streets to negotiate. But once we arrived at their car park and settled in the room was very comfortable neat, clean and modern. Staff were warm and friendly. Public transport is near by. No tea or coffee making in the room but I suspect it is an Austria thing […] as we have not had them anywhere in Austria. Car parking was expensive so don't forget to include this in the overall price. We very much enjoyed our stay here and would return to this hotel again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"I loved the Hotel"
It was my last stop in vienna and it was the best hotel. Breakfast is Excellent and the rooms are clean, 10 min. Walking to the shopping street and the underground is 5 min. Walking. "Nice Hotel, close to transport networks"
We arrived at the hotel at 7am, after an 8 hour overnight train journey from Krakow without much sleep and asked if it would be possible to check in early so we could get washed up and have a few hours sleep. The clean rooms are big compared to your average European hotels. However without air conditioning during the summer, the single fan available, wasn't enough. 2 fans or the use of thinner blankets would probably have made it a cooler affair. The windows opened wide thought, letting the occasional cool breeze in at night. WiFi was good and free. Room […] faced the courtyard and was extremely quiet. "Great location for access and sightseeing"
A very well positioned hotel, close to the main shopping street, but located on a side road that means that traffic noise is kept to a minimum. A pleasant, smart hotel with friendly staff. Not an elite hotel, but feels more like a venue that is trying to compete with the top hotels, rather than simply making do with being a guest house.Genuine Expedia guest review
Good location. Good room for the price. Too hot because no air condition.Genuine Expedia guest review
we were very satisfied with this hotel. We received more than we expected.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is in a quiet side street but only a few minutes into the old city centre by underground. Extremely convenient, with friendly, helpful staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Value for $$$"
What's lacking are:- 1. No air ventilator. Very stuffy and dry in the room. 2. No amenities like tooth brush, tooth paste, shaver which you can offer when guests ask. 3. Shower room too small.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice big rooms but limited WiFi and a noisy street"
Located close to the U-Bahn and Westbahnhof Station it's a nice Hotel with big rooms and very friendly and helpful service. But you must keep the windows closed as the street noise hinders you not only from sleeping but as well from working. Because of a missing air-condition this might be a problem during summer.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Pluses are evident (see above). Absence of air-condition and terrible wi-fi - main minuses.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The only down fall is the lack of air conditioning. Good value for money. Easy to get around, near the metro and only 20 mins walk from town. Staff and locals very friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good place to stay"
Very nice place to stay, VERY helpful staff. I think the building is getting a little long in the tooth, but is comfortable and clean. Can t ask for more, really!Genuine Expedia guest review
Really good location, a few stops on the underground from the centre of town. Comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff. Couldn't wish for anything more from a hotel. Would definitely stay again if I go back to Vienna.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hot and bothered"
Only problem with this hotel, but it is a very big problem, is that it did not have air conditioning. A small fan was the only 'cooling' aid in the room. In Vienna, in High Summer temperatures of 30+ this was hopelessly inadequate, and made the whole experience extremely uncomfortable, impossible to sleep, and very, very disappointing. In every other […] respect this hotel was really good. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
