My wife and I are traveling across Scandanavia and this stop in Copenhagen was wonderful. The hotel is what Americans should expect as the standard for a lower cost hotel solution with a smaller room and not a lot of frills. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, plenty of hot water in the shower (which is larger than many comparable hotel shower areas), and the hotel was clean and orderly. The breakfast was great as well and included, as was free wifi, both of which are difficult to come by in much of Europe. The location was great with a short walk to Nyhaven and superb food as well as many of the other delights Copenhagen has to offer. Recommended hotel at a great value.

An interesting hotel in a great location. Just don't expect luxurious rooms and you'll be satisfied with the experience. In most US cities, other than NYC, this hotel would be regarded a 3 star. The art in the reception area is a nice touch but doesn't add much to the experience. If you want to enjoy art instead get out of the lobby and walk to Glyptoteket or Statens museum for kunst...

I have stayed at this hotel many times, but they never have my room ready until check-in time, regardless of time of arrival. But each and everytime they offer me a room in a higher category for immediate occupancy for a surcharge of DKK 150 (abt $27). Enoying!

The hotel was well located. A 5 minute walk from Malmo Central Station. The room was cozy and was classy. I liked the old style elevator. There are lots of restaurants, bars, and shops right near the hotel. You'll enjoy your stay.

The hotel has seen better days: the floor boards in our room creaked at the slightest movement, and the carpets on our floor undulated gently. The service matched those standards. In our room, the glasses were dirty after previous occupants, and bedspreads were left on the chairs when the beds were made up. Over the weekend the lobby seemed to be taken […] over by the young receptionists' male friends, hanging round the bar and eating messily until at least midnight. During the week, when we assume regular staff took over, the entourage was gone. The hotel is central, but that doesn't compensate for the many shortcomings. Read more

just a short walk away from the central place in Malmoe, in a building of the turn of the century (1900). Because of this the comfort is not as perfect as in a newly bulit hotel, but definitely more atmosphere. Room and bathroom perfectly clean, hotel staff friendly and helpful, good choice of breakfast items. Of course Sweden is not cheap but nevertheless […] good value for the price. The Hotel is very clean and the staff during the day are helpful and polite, the night staff was quite stern but polite, at least he was in the morning before the day staff came on duty, so I suppose he was allowed to be. I had a single room which was small but adequate, TV had about 12 channels many of which were in English. The breakfast was really […] good with a large cold buffett and a substantial hot buffett, there was a large selection of breads, fruit and juices, as well as coffee and tea. This hotel seems to think location justifies high price, no matter the standard. It is an average 3-star hotel with an ambition to be a "boutique hotel" that has yet to be proven. The flowerbasket hanging from the window was full of cigarette butts and the there was odor of smoking in the room. It was not possible to keep the window open at night because […] of partying people on the street below. Pillows uncomfortable. We arrived late and chose not to ask for another room, though. The staff is friendly enough and the breakfast buffe nice, but the "cavabar" they make a deal about... we had expected a nice wine bar but there was just a small hotel lobby. There are many hotels in the area that may be a bit more pricey but probably better value for the money. We wont stay here again. Read more

Hotelli sijaitsi mukavasti päärautatieaseman lähellä. Yleisesti hotelli vaikutti mukavalta ja kotoisalta. Hotellin lähiympäristö oli myös siisti. Ainoa miinus oli meteli, joka kantautui yöllä huoneeseen kadulta. Syynä ehkä huoneen sijainti toisessa kerroksessa ja ajankohta viikonloppu.

Helt OK, centralt och lätt att hitta P-plats i närheten. Bra hotell frukost, om man skall klaga på något så är det väl att det var väldigt lyhört mellan rummen och att golvet knarrade fruktansvärt:-) Skulle inte förvåna mig om jag bokar rum även nästa gång jag besöker Malmö på Hotel Baltzar.

Fikk oppgradert rommet til dobbeltseng etter en natt. meget fornøyd etter det. frokosten har ikke største utvalget. brød og noe pålegg, samt musli og yogurt. savnet gulvvarme på badet. hadde badekar. hyggelig gjeng i resepsjonen. synes at prisen på hoteller i Malmø er for høye.
