"Location, location and comfort"
The location, off Bourbon St by one block puts you in the center of everything that is the French Quarter except for the noise. Party with the best of them then walk the one block to your sanctuary and get a good nights rest. The room is ample size, super comfy beds with lovely linens set on luxurious black marble floors and even a walk in shower. Top […] it off with a small fridge, free bottled water, free internet and a friendly, helpful staff...and wallah the place I will come back to again and again. One more thing. It is across the street from Revolution an exceptional restaurant that will please even the most particular Foodie...sit in the bar for casual and go into the dining room for upscale ambiance either way exceptionally prepared food that is all about Flavor. "Quiet hotel in the heart of the French Quarter"
We were very pleased with the quality of the hotel, the friendliness of the staff and the comfort of the room. The large well decorated room was a welcome respite from the busyness of the bustling French Quarter. It was clean and well maintained. It was great to have a refrigerator and bottled water every day. We loved the courtyard and enjoyed eating […] breakfast there. There were lots of breakfast choices and while I wouldn't complain, I did tire of the same food every day after 5 days. Still, a very minor point. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Pricey French Quarter"
Charming old French Quarter hotel with helpful staff. BUT...we were given a very small room that we felt didn't return value for the huge bump up in the rate for the Jazz Fest . No place to sit except on the bed or on the single hardback armchair. Outside staircase adjacent to room proved noisy with late returning guests.Genuine Expedia guest review
We've been coming to NOLA for the past 7 years for Jazz Fest and have stayed at a couple of the top rated hotels in the French Quarter. The Hotel Mazarin outdoes them all. Who can beat a free full breakfast every morning? Free wifi? Free water? Spacious rooms? Friendly, attentive staff, etc.?Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice place to stay. Close to all the fun.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Location in the French quarter makes it convenient"
We were there forJazz Fest and this hotel was perfect. Breakfast is lovely and so it the courtyard but best of all was the wonderful, helpful, courteous staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful hotel in the perfect spot in the French!"
The included breakfeast in the beautiful courtyard is a great way to start your dayGenuine Expedia guest review
Just off of Bourbon Street without the drunks. Beautiful appointed large room, large shower, and 2 vanities. The center courtyard is a nice place for breakfast and a drink. The heat/air conditioner unit was quiet, chandelier was gorgeous and they supplied free bottled water. At night head over to the 21st Amendment Bar attached to the end of the hotel. […] It's an intimate place with music most nights. And they have Hendricks Gin, but no cucumber. Only negatives we found about the Hotel Mazarin was there isn't a towel rack next to the sinks and the shower controls are tricky. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"What a great place!"
What a nice place this is! The staff is friendly. Was given complimentary vouchers to have a drink or pay for a drink. The lovely lady working at the desk, Waynie( sorry about spelling) was wonderful! Breakfast was wonderful as well as staff there. So close to everything!Genuine Expedia guest review
It was everything we hoped it would be. Beautiful and charming hotel in the heart of the French Quarter. Excellent service, delicious full breakfast every morning. It just couldn't have been nicer.Genuine Expedia guest review
Well that sight was the first thing I saw on the way to my room at this hotel......the hubby just looked at ma and said"too many hurricanes" when I later came back out of my room I noticed their cellphones on the carpet.....I guess you need to be prepared for that if you are staying that close to Bourbon Street. It is a lovely hotel with a great fountain/courtyard […] space where you can enjoy your free breakfast, weather permitting. My room was in the hotel part of the complex which was just okay. I felt like I was the only one staying in that area, as the courtyard space was more populated. Loved that they gave you free water, and the adjoining bars were fun Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed 5 nights and it was lovely. Staff, location, cleanliness, etc. all great. The breakfast was the same every day but it was good (service at breakfast a little slow at times). No complaints at all and would definitely stay there again. It was a little too close to Bourbon Street for us but now that we've been to New Orleans we know what to expect. […] The only night we heard any noise was Saturday night, otherwise the room was very quiet, despite all the craziness outside. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The stay was nice however the room was not readily available at 3pm to check into I had to wait in the courtyard until 5:30pm to check into my room I believe for the price you pay and your check out time not being extended this is unacceptable for people traveling from out of town. Also had to wait for nearly an hour to have my vehicle retrieved from […] the parking tower literally across the street. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Parent Getaway in NOLA"
This is a great hotel for a visit to NOLA located between Royal Street (great shopping) and Bourbon. Stay in a room overlooking the courtyards to avoid the noise of Bourbon. It's just far enough away that you can avoid Bourbon all together if preferred. The large breakfast (included) is a great bonus and the staff was super helpful and friendly. Frenchmen […] Street is a good 15-20 minute walk but we did this most nights because it has the best music. Definitely recommend! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A Quiet Refuge Just Steps Away From Bourbon Street"
This is an elegant old hotel less than one block from the heart of Bourbon Street. And yet you feel removed from the Bourbon Street craziness and chaos. Small but well-appointed rooms. Friendly service. Helpful front desk. Along with the Monteleone (which is a bit more elegant, but a bit less well located) this is my go-to hotel in New Orleans.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Historic Hotel in the French Quarter"
Pleasant hotel in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Historic structure with open courtyards. The staff was very friendly and exceptionally helpful. The room was well furnished and very clean. The guest breakfast was outstanding with a great selection of breakfast foods including made to order pancakes.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great Boutique Hotel"
The Hotel Mazarin is a wonderful hotel, right in the heart of the French Quarter, yet you feel miles away. The hotel was quiet and clean and the staff couldn't have been more friendly . After a night on Bourbon St we appreciated the quiet room. The hotel bar was tucked away and had a nice outdoor patio. Breakfast each morning was a buffet with anything […] you could ever want. I also noticed once morning that the cook specially made pancakes for someone who asked. If we ever go back to NOLA we will definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"French Quarter Convenience"
I've had two stays here now and I enjoy the well-equipped rooms. Comfortable bed, innovative showers, a small fridge, etc. The included breakfast is a real perk and our group took advantage of coffee, cereals, pastries, bacon, sausage, eggs, etc. at various times. The small hotel has no coffee shop or gift shop. Go around the corner to the Royal Sonesta […] for coffee drinks and papers or to the nearby Walgreen's for sundries. Elevator is a little slow but the courtyard facing rooms make for a respite from Bourbon Street noise. WIFI a little intermittent on our visit but it is free and mostly worked. Will stay here again to be able to walk to great restaurants and venues. The R'Evolution in the Sonesta is just a few steps across Bienville. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"stayed here for Wrestle mania week"
My husband and I liked that we could book and pay before we arrived or when we got there. We loved the location of the hotel walking distance to basically everything. We walked from the superdome to our hotel in 15 mins. The hotel was nice when we first walked in and checking in was fast. I liked that you had to have a key card to use the elevators. […] Our room was on the 2 floor, we just booked a standard room. It was a little small, I thought it was going to be a little bigger. There was 2 sitting chairs in the room that we didn't even use I would of like to see a table and two smaller chairs that we could of used to eat or sit and use the laptop, instead we ate in the courtyard downstairs and sat in bed to use the laptop. Sheets were clean, towels clean, bathroom clean, the nightstands were dusty in the back and behind the TV so it looked like they just wiped the front of them. They had a couple small rugs on the tile floors in our rooms, personally I didn't like that because you could see that they were old and needed a deep cleaning. They stock your fridge with water and you have a single serve coffee maker which is nice bc they don't have room service or a kitchen staff, only in the morning for breakfast 7-11 am. Breakfast was minimal, same things every day & you could order an omelet by special request but that's about it. Coffee was good. Staff was nice. I asked to have our sheets and towels changed aftee 3 pm & it was no problem. I wish they had a tub in every room we only had a shower I don't know if the other rooms had tubs. I would stay there again but maybe in a upgraded room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Beautiful Hotel in Center of French Quarter Fun"
The hotel's biggest strength is the staff. The front desk, breakfast attendants, housekeeping, and attendants were all soooo friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and very quiet even considering we were overlooking Bienville Street right off Bourbon St. There was a lovely courtyard in the center and even a neat bar at the hotel. "Ideally located in French Quarter"
Other than our first night (in a room directly behind a noisy elevator shaft with windows onto the street, which was noisy well into the early morning), we loved our stay at the Mazarin. After a horrible first night (did I mention the music and the street/elevator noise?) the very nice front desk clerk moved us to a quieter room facing the courtyard. […] From there on we were sold—charming wine bar on the premises, great breakfast in the beautiful dinging room or in the courtyard, beautifully appointed rooms, and a location that put the French Quarter, Canal Street, and the Marigny within easy walking distance. I'd avoid the rooms facing the street, but otherwise, this is a charming hotel with personal and caring service. The night clerk who welcomed us gave us great restaurant recommendations, and I still dream about those grits at breakfast... Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

This hotel was GREAT! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good and provided a variety of hot foods, pastries and fruits. "A great location and lovely hotel"
We stayed at the Hotel Mazarin for six nights and had a room overlooking the courtyard. We couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. Even though the hotel is located between Royal and Bourbon streets, the street noise only occasionally made itself felt in the room. The king size bed was very comfortable, as were the other seating arrangements […] in the room. We loved the marble walk-in shower and the complementary bottles of water. Breakfast was far more than we had expected, with lots of hot and cold options. The people were uniformly friendly and helpful. The only drawback that we could note was the absence of a formal concierge, but the people at the front desk were well-able to answer any questions we had. We would definitely return! "Close to sights"
The only complaint I have is there was not adequate seating in the breakfast room. The temp while we were there was in the 40s in the morning and a couple times we had to sit outside at the wrought iron chairs and table WITH NO HEAT LAMPS! there was not an option of room service either. "Jewel of a Hotel"
This hotel is close to all the excitement of the French Quarter, but the rooms were pretty soundproof. Our room had 2 Queen-sized beds, but the room was not really big. "Great Spot In The French Quarter"
We had a terrific stay at Hotel Mazarin. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff was very professional and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and is open until noon on the weekend so you don't have to get up early. We also were given 2 complimentary drink cards for their bar. Two notes: 1-You are less than a block off of Bourbon […] St, so you may want to request a room that isn't on the street side of the hotel to avoid some of the late night noise. 2-The valet sign is not very prominent. It's on the right side of the street near the cab stand sign. I hope that helps someone. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel breakfast was amazing. Our room was a bit crowded with the king size bed, but other than that it was a great room . The location was perfect and we'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone.Genuine Expedia guest review
Excellent location and service. Will stay again. The breakfast along is well worth the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A quieter area of the French Quarter"
If you're a fit walker, the Mazarin is a doable walking distance from the river end where most of the sights and sounds of the French Quarter are. We enjoyed the quieter nights and then venturing anywhere we wanted to go from there. The staff is most helpful and seem to love their jobs there! Would happily return.Genuine Expedia guest review
