"Not worth the money, but not "bad"."
Let me start by saying that I'm one who normally would get a hotel the best review possible. This hotel is not a bad place but certainly not worth $150 a night. The room was clean, the facility was clean and the bed was comfortable. But, the linens were the kind of thing you'd expect at a Motel 6, cheap and thin and in my room, worn out and ready to […] be replaced. Same with the bath towels, they were not nice luxury hotel towels but old worn out flour sack towels. The room was clean but everything was old. Clean does not equal new. The rest of the hotel outside the room was updated, nice, clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly but not real helpful. I mentioned the next morning how old the room felt and that there was no hot water in the shower. I got told sorry and the boiler was down and have a nice day. The parking lot staff, who are not employed by the hotel but rather the parking facility was quite friendly and helpful and made numerous attempts to help me load and a point of showing the closest parking place every time I pulled in. Our son attends CSUF and this is the only hotel we will stay in when we go to visit. The staff is always friendly and kind (I think they even recognize us now)! The bedrooms are clean, comfortable and the sheets on the bed divine. The restaurant serves a fabulous breakfast and I am a huge fan of their french onion soup in the evening. We decided to take a very random trip to Disneyland, we decided Friday morning and left that same evening, so finding decent hotels was an issue for us. Aside from it being Labor Day, there was also a 10k at Disneyland so nearly every decently priced, clean hotel was booked. This marriott was the closest and most reasonably priced hotel. It was about […] a 15 minute drive and although I wouldn't stay here again for a Disneyland trip (it's too far with a 7 month old, we need napping capabilities and getting from the park to our car to our hotel and back was way too time consuming), I would stay here again for any other trip I took to the area. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. "They still charge you even you have paid expedia"
We booked two room for a family of four through expedia.com and have paid the rooms in full before arrival. When we checked in, the clerk asked for our credit card. She promised it would not be charged because we have paid. The next morning we got the bill slipped through our door and it clearly says balance of 0.00. I took the bill to the front desk […] and made sure they would not charge us for the stay. The clerk promised again we wouldn't get any charge on our credit card. A few days later, I found two room charges on our credit card bill. I called them several times and each time I was put on hold for 8 to 9 minutes. They promised they would give me the refund. I waited for a few days to see one room charge finally disappear but I was still charged for another room. I called them again. After a long hold, the clerk again promised me to get the refund in a few business days and then he hung up abruptly. I am very mad at this point. Why did they charge me in the first place? "Needs an update"
Excellent and personable staff. Decor needs an update. Our only complaint is in regard to the reservation. We booked one night for two adults and two children. The reservation offered included a king size bed only. I did not notice this until the day before our trip. A quick call to the hotel resolved this. Or so we thought. We arrived and the reservation […] still included a king bed. The clerk arranged for a room with two full beds. (I asked for a room with two queen beds but either they do not offer it or there were no rooms available with this configuration.) A bit uncomfortable for two full size adults in one full bed. Here is a common sense thought... If a site is asking for the number of adults and children on a reservation, shouldn't the reservations available reflect rooms with the queen beds? I don't know too many families that share a king bed during a trip. In fact I cannot imagine any that would be comfortable with two adults and two teenagers sharing one hotel bed. I understand you experienced a few complications during your check in. I would like to clarify any information that may have been misunderstood. Our property offers 2 room types. One being a room with a King size bed, the other having 2 Double Beds. You indicated that the original reservation was booked for a King size room but then changed at check in. Unfortunately, our property does not include the 2 queen beds which why we were unable to accommodate you with that specific room type. When making the reservation it gives you the option of selecting from the room types available. Furthermore, I am pleased to say that our property will be undergoing a renovation. It is scheduled to begin with the lobby/restaurant area by December. We will then continue the renovation to the rooms shortly after.

We checked in around 10pm, on a fully pre-paid reservation. We had specifically chosen this hotel because we had business to conduct in the morning, and didn't want a noisy, vacation hotel. The Fullerton Marriott had given away our rooms, and turned us away, sending us to a Residence Inn right next to Disneyland (20 min away). I have stayed her a few times and always find it so convenient to Disney, Knotts and the beach. This time, I dined at some of the local restaurnts: Spaghetti Factory (I've been there several times before - always consistently wonderful and affordable), Fuoco - awesome wood-fired pizza, and Pieology - not the best pizza, but super affordable. The hotel is clean and quiet with comfortable rooms - temperatures were in the high 90s and the air conditioning worked well. Parking was close by and adequate with both campus police and Fullerton police patrolling the area. "Not a good experience"
The room is small for the price I paid ($154 includes tax). When I got to the room the room is hot and the aircon is not working. There is no microwave, no small refrigerator. "Not worth the convenience of location"
We chose this hotel for it's location. The staff at the front desk were unpleasant and rude. They acted inconvenienced by doing their job. Although we stay only ONE nite we still had to ask for fresh towels. By 6am they placed a bill under our door, as if to say "bye, get out". The room was crowded with furniture that didnt fit. The hallways smelled […] like mildew. It is way overpriced and not deserving of the "Marriott" name. "Great hotel, will be a returning guest"
As someone who is used to budget motels, this place was a considerable step up for me. Great location if you're visiting CSU Fullerton, Hope University, etc. It's pretty much on CSU Fullerton's campus! The Hotel is a few decades old, I was there during the small earthquake that happened 3 miles away at La Habra Brea on March 29th. Yes, the building […] shook but the building held together just fine. The worst thing that happened was my shampoo bottles fell over. If you're used to Hilton's and alike then yes, you will be annoyed that the place is dated. But their service is very professional. They even let me checkout an hour late with no additional charge (but don't take that for granted and call the night before if you're gonna try for that). I'll be back here in July for orientation.
