We stayed in this hotel when the weather was very cold (19 degrees) and our heater was broken. We told the front desk and the service tech attempted to fix the heater. It stayed 60 degrees in our room the entire time we were there. They never offered to move us to a different room, although they did provide more blankets upon request. Otherwise, the hotel needed updating.

The Hotel is located within walking distance of Pecanland Mall, the only mall for close to 50 miles in any direction. but it is also near the train tracks as Monroe has a lot of rails that run through it. so you could be woken up at 1:30 am to the train horns, but you could spend all day shopping at the mall and surrounding shops without ever getting in your car. it kind of balances out.

"Train Right Next Door!"

We stayed at the hotel which is not located in the best area. Right next to the hotel is a train that runs all day and night and as it goes by, it honks!!! The hotel itself is older but the inside has been kept up pretty well. It really isn't worth the money since there is other hotels nearby that are newer and not located next to a train. They do have a great indoor pool and recreation area so if you have kids this would be a great place for them to be entertained.

This hotel is ok for what it's worth. i have stayed at many Holiday Inn's and this one is less than any other one I've stayed in but it fit what I needed. The housekeeper was cordial and polite the desk clerks were also pretty helpful. The kitchen failed to tell me that children eat free off a certain menu so I paid full price for my 6 yr old and 9 yr old food. But it was decent food.

Room not clean and was run-down. VERY close to train tracks with trains coming through and blowing whistle constantly.

Older location. Indoor pool. Rooms large, but not updated. Wireless net worked no issue. Quiet. Local shuttle van available to local restaurants. For the price not a bad hotel

We stayed in a large, newly remodeled room overlooking the indoor pool area. Although the hotel was full and very busy, the staff was polite and attentive and our accomadations very nice. Quiet and peaceful.

The Holiday Inn in Monroe is a very nice hotel. Offers many outstanding amenities. Also has a fantastic pool area that many people enjoy. The rooms are very clean and nicely furnished. We will stay there again, and would recommend this hotel.

It is a great location with the mall just around the corner and easy access to highways. Rooms were clean and comfy with doors to the hallway and another to parking. My only thing was the train tracks are right along hotel but i didn't hear it once i was in the room. I will stay there again.

Hotel.com thumbs up. All was ok. Had a problem with the key card, they took care of it immediately. Small black ants in room. Recreation ping pong: good, foose ball: no ball available a little disappointed . Pool was ok very chlorinated though, burned the eyes. Tables around pool were dirty and 3-4 were covered with old trash. Nearby Garbage cans smelled. I told the desk woman about the tables and she said she would personally pick up trash and clean tables. As of the next morning the tables had been untouched. TV is not xbox compatible, son and friend unhappy. Price was ok...

It was convienent that the hotel was full service (reasturant, bar, indoor pool and whirlpool, etc.) Although the hotel itself seemed aged to me. The food was good, but pricey (to be expected). The staff all around was great. But, personally i feel the overall price was expensive.

Very pleasant at the front desk although the girl at the front charged my credit card as well and had to call and get that credited back to my credit card. Liked the room had a door on the (inside to hallway) as well as to, the outside, which made it easy to load and unload the car and since I was on the first floor was very convenient for me. The sink tap was challenging on figuring out how to turn it off had to be in just the right spot to go off. But good value for the money.
