It was clean, breakfast was satisfactory. I reccomend getting a freshener for the room, it was humid and smelled damp. Internet had shotty reception. Not bad if you need a base while you spend a couple days at Cedar Point. Good price.

The staff was courteous and helpful but the cleNiless of the pool facilities was not satisfactory. There were children running and screaming up and down the hallways at all hours of the night and morning. This should have been handle by management so the rest of the guests weren't inconvenienced. I would stay here on my next trip

The whole hotel smelled like cigarette smoke. Smoking rooms should have been downstairs, with non-smoking upstairs. Smoke goes downward, I would know, I'm a previous smoker. There was a long black hair on the shower wall, no waste basket liners. And the front desk people should not recommend the Italian diner in the back of Super 8. So my friend and I wanted to stay near Cedar Point while also being able to drive into downtown Cleveland for a baseball game. The location is okay but it was about a 20min drive to Cedar Point and it's right along the Ohio turnpike so I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you plan to take a day off. We had three rooms booked here for a weekend at Cedar Point. The personnel here were friendly and accommodating. All three rooms had clean bathrooms and spotless furniture. Water pressure in the shower was strong, beds were firm, and breakfast was typical as expected. On the other hand, everything looked worn and old. The door handle to our room opened […] only upward while our friend's room won't open at all with one of the key cards. The windows had cobwebs. The sheets were washed so many times that they looked gray when it should be white and had old stains on them. Toilet seat was too small for the toilet. Every room had a musky smell that was most noticeable when first entering the room. Security could be a problem since they do not lock the back door and when we checked, the windows were unlocked with no screen so anyone could have climbed in through the first floor window. Overall, if you are just looking for a quick one night stay and don't care about the details, this is doable. It is a step above the dirty, rundown hotels closer to Cedar Point, but I think I might pay a little more for a better hotel if staying in the area for more than two nights. Read more

Friendly front desk staff. Good value. In town for Cedar Point. Bit of a drive to the park, but its right off the expressway. Indoor pool was good. It was open late into the evening and we could use it when we were rained out at the Park (as opposed to the outdoor pools). I would stay there again on our next trip.

We chose this hotel because of the price and other reviews. It was decent enough for what we paid and close enough to Cedar Point...without the high prices of the Cedar Point hotels. Our only complaints were minor and related to housekeeping. We had three people in our room and clearly used three towels....yet housekeeping only gave us two clean towels […] for our second night. We stayed here after a long day at Cedar Point. We didn't check in until about 9:30pm, so we didn't take advantage of the pool, even though it was still open. We just wanted to relax and get some sleep before traveling home the next day. We found the room to be clean and comfortable. The only two problems I had were the same problems I have with just […] about every hotel. 1. No child-proofing. The outlets were not covered in any way and the television was not attached to the wall so we had to keep a close eye on our 19-month-old son. I have yet to find a hotel that does these things, even though they advertise themselves as "family friendly". 2. The free breakfast was a bit lacking. There was one waffle iron for everyone to use, and the rest of the meal was donuts, cold cereal, and hard boiled eggs with the choice of milk, orange juice, or coffee. That was it. We ended up going to McDonalds. The hotel is located near Cedar Point and if you are looking for just one or two nights, this is a good place to stay. It beats the heck out of the over-priced hotels in Sandusky and the way over-priced 'resorts' at Point itself. We would stay here again. Read more

ok, so I have a few pointers to give to you folks who are considering this hotel: i will start with the POSITIVE THINGS bc there are not many. the room is close to many area attractions such as cedarpoint, soak city and a whole lotta shopping/dining places which was great. on the NEGATIVE SIDE OF THINGS, the room was basic, nothing fancy, the beds were […] hard, the sheets did not fit the bed properly, we reserved a non smoking room and the room wreaked of tobacco smell the entire time especially early in morning. the sheets were stained. the shower curtain was stained. we hung a do-not-disturb sign on the door and the maid still came in anyways, made 1 of the 2 beds we had and took the sign with her. the continental breakfast was boiled eggs, super mini muffins, juice and waffles that u make yourself. the indoor pool was supposed to be heated, but it was freezing cold. my suggestion would be to pay a little bit more and get a better place. this hotel would be ok if you are alone and just passing thru but def not for families at all. I got a good deal for one night on our way through Ohio. The bed was comfortable, and the non-smoking room had no hint of cigarette smoke. I have stayed here basically every year since 2005 for Cedar Point trips. The area doesn't provide many good hotels, but this Red Roof Inn has always been nice. It is about 15-20 minutes from the park and is right off of Interstate 80. It isn't anything really flashy, but it is always clean and updated. The room was as we expected, clean, but a little old. Breakfast was good, waffles, hard boiled eggs, cereal, juices. The Wi-Fi was worthless.
