First of all the hotel is located in a horrible neighborhood. Either you would have the view of the freeway or behind it you'd have the view of the trailer park. The whole hotel is Muskie and Smokey. The facilities are run down and not well taken care of. The elevator was extremely tiny, basically only one person and a suitcase would fit and the entire […] time you would be praying that it won't plummet or break. The entire hotel is apparently "non-smoking" but our room smelt like smoke horribly. The linens felt unclean and the bathroom was extremely rundown. The people down the hall from us were frying chicken and hanging out in the hall way. All together it was extremely sketchy. As soon as I saw our room we checked back out and got our money back. The only positive thing I can say is that the staff were very gracious about us checking out and very apologetic. It seemed like they were used to this situation happening. Read more

I chose this hotel because it was suppose to have free internet and breakfast, neither of which was true. The WiFi has been "out" for a while, and they haven't served a free breakfast for at least 6 month. The desk clerk said she didn't know why it still shows that on the website. The general look of the hotel was that of one that rents by the week […] or month. The room key would not open the door very easily and we had to call the clerk to open it for us. Free internet? There is no internet. I stayed 2 nights. I chose this hotel for the price and the internet. The hotel Is great for the price. But I was really disapointed that during the entire stay I only got one bar and could not conect to the internet. Their buisness center was 2 computers that barely worked. Obvious hangout for paid company. My nonsmoking room reeked of smoke and there were burn holes in sheets blankets n pillows opened the patio door to air the room out n there was McDonald's trash and cigarette butts all over the balcony. We were looking for a hotel close to our family's house in Sacramento, otherwise we never would have stayed at this location. Booked the room through Hotels.com for a 2 room suite with 2 king beds. When we got to the room, only 1 bed was a king, the other was a double. Went to use the bathroom and there was water all over the floor, put the towel down […] to soak it up and used the toilet and it overflowed! No sooner did we use the other bathroom and that toilet clogged and wouldn't flush. Everything in the room was old and ghetto. Burn marks in the curtains and blankets, crusty blood and nastiness all over the bathroom, carpets stained, broken lamp, ghetto small box tv, mismatched furniture. We even found a drawer full of someone else's clothes, clearly the maid had not done much cleaning. Tons of hair all over the bathroom floors and in the tub. It was a sickening room. I didn't even want to spend any time there. The one good thing about the place is that there was a swimming pool, which was in not too bad of shape, considering the rest of the dump. It took them until the next day to be able to move our rooms to the proper King King room. The room they changed us to was no cleaner. Same nasty feeling all over. I would NOT recommend staying here unless you want to feel like you are staying in a roach motel! I don't mind it being old, but when it is dirty and not working, come on, give me a break. We paid for this? I can't believe they stay in business! They are opening a restaurant in the next few weeks. They should have spent the money to renovate the rooms instead! I was really optimistic about staying here on a business trip. It has a great location (on the map), right across the freeway from a nice golf course and the sales director from the hotel posted a review saying the place is fully remodeled and is a whole new place. When I arrived I was greeted by a swarm of flies at the door and (to be fair) a polite […] gentleman at the front counter. Check in was quick. I was a bit thirsty and hungry so I asked when the advertised restaurant and lounge was opening and was informed it won't be until the remodel is complete. My first impression was that is typical of a remodel it; it takes more time than projected. As I stepped into the dated elevator and pushed '3' the elevator door wouldn't close. I pushed the 'door close' button and the door attempted to close but reopened as if something was in the way. I have some construction background and looking at the "work" done on the trim is not only horrendous but dangerous because there are exposed nails and large gaps up to 1/2 inch in some places on the mitered joints. I am not a snob or anything close. I stay at Motel 6 more than any other place. So most of these minor things didn't bother me too much but at some point much like the straw ladened camel eventually I could not take it any more. Here is a fair and objective list of occurences. This was just in a 24 hour period. No heating and a/c controls in room. Directly under landing approach for C-130 aircraft (big a**lane) for the near by AFB. Man shouting at himself and walking through parking lot. White trash couple screaming at each other in parking lot. No coffee in the lobby until after 0700. Tweeker pestering me for a cigarette in the lobby, hallway and elevator after I told him I don't smoke. Hotel staff person told me not to spill coffee on the floor because he will have to mop it up (I didn't spill coffee or engage the staff member in anyway). The staff was exceptionally friendly from the moment I walked in the door. Besides the desk clerk there were two other people roaming the lobby saying welcome to me. I had no idea who they were so it was a little disconcerting. Housekeeping even asked how my day was. I was ready to cancel my reservation, however, once I saw a police car and a vehicle […] he apparently pulled over in the parking lot and and passerby asking me for a light. I did not feel safe in the neighborhood. The elevator creeked, the room door stuck; somebody's car alarm was going off in adjacent mobile home park;even though it claimed to be non smoking it still smelled like smoke in hallways, but NOT in the room. If I wanted breakfast I would have to pay an additional $20. NO WHERE was there any indication what time check out was, so housekeeping was knocking on my door asking when I was leaving because I was past the check out time. Looked like first floor was being renovated so I was on 3rd floor, far away from lobby. I took outside stairs to be closer to my vehicle but found out after carrying my luggage up three flights of stairs that there was no access from the outside. The ONLY entrance was through the lobby.
