Chose the Quality Inn for its price and location near Pitt Memorial Hospital. Very friendly reception staff. Room was clean and cooled when we arrived. Just blocks from many restaurants. Continental breakfast with cereal toast bagels eggs and sausage. Would recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Good value for price. Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Room was clean but had a strong disinfectant smell. Most of the exercise equipment was broken. "Met our needs"

Good: Nice price compared to other hotels. Front desk employees were very nice and helpful. Across the street from Denny's. Not exactly 5* but comfortable and clean. I felt safe, a bit noisy on a couple of occasions but what place isn't!! "It served the purpose"

Decent room, clean, fair price. The furnishings in the room looked like they were purchased at a thrift store. Scratched, dented, mismatched. Bed was saggy and the mattress was covered in some plastic thing that crinkled with every move. The biggest negative? Be very careful, folks. There was a fee included on our bill on check-in of $1.50 for a safe. Good thing we saw that early. It is in very fine print that if you don't use the safe you can have the charge removed upon check-out. How many people do you suppose would not see that, or see it late, and say "oh well, it's just $1.50 and check out without bothering to have the charge removed. It may be just $1.50, but how much do you suppose it adds up to for the company, $1.50 per room, per day...

I had an easy time at check in, the night clerk was helpful. my room was nice, price was fair and I did enjoy the breakfast. The lady tending to it was very nice too. I liked the exterior room and didn't feel rushed by housekeeping around check out time. I enjoyed it.
"Rude front desk employee"

It took an hour to check in because their system was down and there was no contingency plan. During this time the front desk employee was unfriendly, unsmiling, unhelpful, uncooperative, disrespectful, discourteous, disengaged, ...fill in the blanks with any adjectives that equate to poor customer service and you get the picture. This woman needs extensive customer service training or the owner should fire her. There are many hotels to choose from in the area and an employee like this only drives customers away. The room was satisfactory for the price, however, I will not stay at this hotel again based on the hour of unpleasantness I endured at check in.

The furnishings and maintenance were excellent, the staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was good. The only complaint was the noisy a/c and the poor TV reception. I couldn't figure out why, and it didn't seem to be the particular set so it may be an issue with the satellite prouder although it was good in the breakfast room. I've stayed here before and will again.

The people were super nice and so friendly .the rooms are just too dark and run down . They need a major cleaning and re-do. Great workers here though they made it very comfortable and I would rate the place higher but the room was just in need of a fresh look . Bathroom was a little on the dirty side also

We arrived late and very tired. Staff was very helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. Hot breakfast the next day was decent. There are plenty of restaurants in the area if you prefer to go else where. Would definitely recommend for college visits. Go Pirates!

I have stayed hear twice on quick overnights.it is fine and the rooms were decently kept. The price I paid was in keeping with my expectations. I generally stay in three plus to four star hotels but for the purposes (sport team trips) this is fine. Breakfast is basic, decent.

horrible filthy I did not get in until 12:00 am and I wake up to pubic hair on the mattress , and sticky something on the sheets , received ring worm hours after my stay on my back leg that was only exposed to the mattress.

Overall, room quality was fairly good. One of the three rooms had a strong smell of the stuff they use to cover up smoking, but was switched as soon as we complained. Some furnishings a bit worn, but clean and comfortable. Beds are firm, but not rock-hard. The big winner here is the staff. Located near a major hospital, they go out of their way to make your stay, and extending your stay, as gentle as possible. They're very friendly, and don't mind you sharing a bit of the journey you're going through with a loved one at a time like this. This aspect of this property is going to make me commend them directly to their parent company.

Upon check in, the charge presented more thanquoted in the email confrmation received. When I pointed this out, the clerk did change based on my confirmation. On night 2 I turned on the heat. got a terrible hot smell and smoke alarm went off. I called desk, told them - they asked me to hold, never came back nor did I see or hear from anyone that night. I unplugged the heater and the smoke alarm stopped. When I told desk the next day I was told that is normal. Some staff were extremely nice but appropriate responses/solutions were lacking.
