Have not stayed at a Holiday Inn of any sort in years but were on a short trip to visit our son. Not wanting to risk spending $$$ on a hotel I never heard of, chose this one. Very clean, newer & quant inside. Free parking, breakfast & wifi. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms (you cannot compare every hotel to the Ritz). I had a fantastic stay here. The hotel more than exceed my expections and I felt like I was staying at a $300 per night hotel. The staff was friendly, my room was very clean and they even had really fantastic pillows which is always hard to find as a business traveler. I give this hotel a 10 out of 10! We chose this hotel for the convenience and close proximity to the venue we attended . The desk attendant was not at the desk both during check in and check out . We had to wait for him . The biggest complaint we had was that our bedsheets were so worn that the "fitted" bottom sheet came off while we just turned in bed ...very uncomfortable sleep conditions […] . My Daughter and I stayed two nights, while visiting my brother. We found the Motel to be Very Clean and all personnel very friendly. The Motel was quiet, except our first night. The people next door to us was very loud and stomped around a lot. The continental breakfast was nice. Very good assortment of everything. Have stayed at this Holiday Inn Express before. The place very clean and well appointed. Room clean, quiet and comfortable. The location is on a hill behind a shopping center and was a bit hard to locate the first time round. We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights while visiting my son who is stationed at Camp Pendleton. It was very convenient to the base. Close to the beach and the Del Mar area of San Clemente - great shopping! The staff made us feel very welcome. I was traveling with my 84 year old aunt who is on a walker. We had a great room that was handicap friendly. […] The breakfast every morning was really good - much higher quality than most "free breakfasts" at other hotels. We would stay here again without hesitation. Pool was clean and warm. Good lobby area for visiting. The only thing odd about the hotel is that you have to come in through a large strip center parking lot. No direct access - however, I would not let that stop you from booking here. Executive 2 Queen rooms are all looking to the interior so we had no view, even though we had a balcony (no chairs because no one wants to look at AC units and dirt hills). Location was super weird. The front office staff was awesome, but our room was not cleaned or our trash emptied while we stayed. I even asked the front office to mention it to housekeeping and it never happened. Overall disappointed with the stay and would likely not book again.

When I called the morning of my arrival to request a room where I could keep an eye on my car with merchandise in it, the clerk insisted that it was so safe that that was not necessary, then reluctantly gave me a room close to the rear parking lot. When I arrived from work late at night, my reserved room was basement-like, facing a subterranean driveway […] and retaining wall, but not the parking lot. By then I could only be switched to an upstairs room facing away from all parking. The room was very small and dark, poorly lit and freshly decorated with drab depressing colors and dark furniture. Not a happy place. The next night was OK, then the next night, after working standing up for 15 hours, my *#@* room key didn't work, and the desk clerk was on break for over 15 minutes while I stood there on aching feet. This is the second time my and Aunt and I have stayed at this hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel room is spacious, nicely updated. The beds are quite comfortable with a nice variety of pillows. The hotel has a great central location, off the 5 FWY, but close to the beaches too.

This is the second time we stayed here. It's very close to Richard Steed Park where our baseball tournaments were held. Beds were very comfortable,quiet, and breakfast the next morning was included. Breakfast here is a step up from a continental breakfast. My son loved the fresh pancakes.

I stayed one night with my 3 teenagers and we were pleasantly suprised to find the hotel in almost brand new condition - spottless, nice decor and very attentive staff. The rooms were very nice - really comfortable and clean bedding, spacious, and the AC worked great. The pool was warm and clean, and the breakfast a bonus, especially with 3 hungry kids […] - nice assortment and they kept it well stocked. The only negative was that they were unable to put a cot in the room for my teenage son due to fire regulations, but they did bring extra bedding to make a bed on the floor which worked fine. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel although our location near the elevators was a problem on Fi. and Sat. night as the late night praters seemed to come in all night long disturbing our sleep and those in nearby rooms as well. Overall the hotel is very nice and conveniently located.
