Baymont Inn and Suites Houston- Sam Houston Parkway - Houston

The hotel was clean and the room clean and comfortable. The day we checked in at the front desk, I assume , was understaffed. Clerk had almost a constant scowl on her face. The next day our family went to breakfast by eight. Breakfast ends at nine and when they mean end at nine they really mean it. My younger child had just gotten a second helping of […] cereal ( before nine ) and asked for some milk. The milk had just been taken to the kitchen. The attendant pointed to the sign and said kitchen closed at nine. She did however return with the pitcher of milk and once again pointed to the sign. Another guest had filled his plate with french toast but the syrup was taken and when asked for some syrup the kitchen staff once again pointed to the sign. The man ended up eating his french toast without the syrup. We can understand the policy of breakfast ends at nine but the situation could have been handled in a friendlier manner. The room was good and the hotel was well kept but the front desk/receptionist was worst. Lack courtesy and it is difficult to believe on paying for the room. The ladies on the duty the day I checked in was bad and lackwise the lady on duty the following morning I checked out was bad too.

It was terrible. The fire alarm went off at 3 am. There was no staff in the hotel to answer the phone. There was no one at the front desk. I was not sure it i needed to evacuate or not. Very outdated, felt like they hadn't put much effort into keeping up on the rooms and building in general. We had to lug 2 70lb bags up a flight of stairs because there is no elevator :-( that was a major downside after traveling all day. The room was clean, outlet in bathroom didnt hold my hair applicances plug. Overall for 65 bucks I cant complain. Road contruction on the frontage road and long access roads made for some difficulty getting in and out. We would stay there again.

The hotel is very outdated, but the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. I was also charged a $25 'incidental fee'. When asked about this, the clerk said all hotels charge that. (uh, NO they don't). I would not recommend this hotel nor will I stay there again.

we reserved a non-smoking king room for 2 nights, 4 days before. They took the money from my account but when we arrived there they did not have a king room vacant and clean. Their was one thing that annoyed me. I stayed on the second level left wing. I found that their was no lift or elevator so I had to walk up stairs to get to my room. Unfortunately, the combination of relatively low price, unlimited breakfast buffet, long indoor hallways, an outdoor/indoor swimming pool and maintained surrounding grounds appear to attract families with large numbers of unruly children for weekend get-away's. The unsupervised children are loud […] and obnoxious. They use the hotel's public areas as a playground while the parents consume copious amounts of waffles and sausage gravy.
