The property is situated near the freeway, very convenient, although the no-left-turn intersections on the major streets everywhere make getting there a bit of a challenge the first time arriving. The hotel seemed new and was very clean. There was a little problem with our TV that was taken care of quickly. There is a nice park and jogging trail within walking distance. Just a short drive to the Bell's Brewery. The breakfast is very good - waffles, eggs, sausage and the usual danishes, toast and yogurt. Staff very friendly.

This Americinn is perhaps the cleanest chain hotel we've ever stayed in. It looks new although I don't think it is. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool and spa were spotless and water as clear as could be. The room had all the comforts and conveniences that we are accustomed to. The breakfast was also perhaps the most complete of this genre […] of hotel. Every category of breakfast food basically, was offered: omelets, waffles, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, meat, juice, bagels, muffins, whole wheat bread, coffees, juice, etc. Even more impressive was the staffs' attitude towards the breakfast presentation. The person responsible for this actually appeared to enjoy presenting the food and asked if anything was missing or needed. NOTHING was missing or depleted. So many of these places seem to treat the breakfast as an added nuisance they are obliged to provide. Highly recommended for a night or several. Read more

Ok, so we had a little bit of a hard time finding the enterance to the parking lot, but once we found it, everything was good. Rooms were in great condition, and the front desk called to make sure everything was good and even made fresh baked cookies!

This hotel was my first in an Americinn. I probably would not have chosen it if the reviews were not so good. I am usually a Hampton type hotel person. But the staff was very friendly. Other reviewers are right. The entrance is hard to locate. It looks like you are going into an apartment complex. Look for a small sign pointing the way about 500 yards from the Portage Dr. on your left. The room we had was very nice king with couch. If you do not have kids request the top floor. Ours was over the pool and you could hear some noise […] from it. Parking great. The desk clerk was helpful. The breakfast very nice with a lot to choose from. Breakfast area was kept very clean and the woman in charge was helpful. Only negative is with the normal check out time of 11:30AM is early for those wanting to spend a few hours in the small but nice pool area. We have this one on our list to use again. I thought this was an excellent hotel for the price. The staff was so helpful and cheerful. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel entrance was tricky and the vending machines were out of bottle water but those are minor inconveniences and I would definitely stay here again.

The staff was friendly & helpful, the rooms were clean. However, our room was so hot we couldn't get any sleep. It was so hot we couldn't tolerate even the sheet on us! In the middle of winter we turned on the air and that didn't help. We were in our p.j.s and it was late so we didn't call the front desk. We thought we would be able to control the temperature, […] but we couldn't. I informed the front desk in the morning while checking out the next morning, said they would check the room and attempted to make an adjustment on our bill, but since we book through Expedia, they said they would need to contact them and get back to us. AmericInn has a very nice facility with clean, up to date furnishings and friendly staff. Priced reasonably, it's located in a nice area and less than 5 minutes from the airport. Their complimentary breakfast was quite complete: eggs, sausage, waffles, juices, yogurt, fresh fruit and a variety of coffees. I appreciate that the pool and spa are close […] to the lobby, allowing staff to monitor activity there. Whether the credit goes to the staff or the guests self-policing their families, I saw no issues in the pool area. Like every hotel room I have slept in during winter months, the air was quite dry and the need for water woke me up more than once. Again, this is not just an AmericInn problem - I need to bring a portable humidifier. Read more

Lights were on in room when we arrived making it feel homely. Loved the smell of chocolate chip cookies on arrival. All staff very friendly and helpful. Ice maker didn't work. Great breakfast.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We had not expected such a nice environment at this price point. The staff was friendly. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and well appointed with comfortable beds, very nice bedding and lots of towels. The breakfast was quite varied and generous. Have stayed at a number of different hotels in the Kalamazoo area over the past few years when visiting eldest son. This is by far the nicest we have stayed at. The continental breakfast spread was spectacular as well. Will definitely make this my first choice for future stays.

The room was a good size; the comforters were white and puffy. Soft, plentiful towels were nice too. The room was quiet even though the hotel is close to the freeway. We didn't spend much time there as we were in Kalamazoo to visit WMU.

We were searching for a room at the last minute for a big event in the Kalamazoo area. All of the rooms were sold out at the exit where we wanted to stay. AmericInn was one exit west of where we wanted and they had a room available so we jumped on it. As far as I'm concerned, we hit the jackpot!
